Amazing menu, delicious pastys-generously filled, great service with a dash of entrepreneurial spirit (I wanted a small, they were sold out, 'so why don't you have a medium, it has a burnt end you don't need to eat and I'll charge you for the small')

Been a couple of times when visiting Falmouth to get a fresh, hot pasty. Delicious. Really friendly assistant. Would definitely recommend.

This used to be our favourite pastie shop when on holidays. This time, very disappointing that the pasties were mediocre. The service was terrible- the lady serving was rude and made it very awkward.

Love the homemade pasties. Tasty at a good price. Quick, friendly service and you can take your food into The Front pub across the way for a seat and a half. Do try chocolate cake if available - total bliss! Pips pasties also available And do try fish pasties if on offer.

I visited two years ago and was pleasantly surprised at the vegan offering. Latest visit was the same with a great tasting vegan sausage roll. The vegan cheese and caramelised onion pasty was really tasty too but needed a bit more pepper in my opinion but that is personal preference rather than an issue with the cooking. Look forward to my next visit!

Having dropped the son’s stuff off at uni, we went in search of food. Cafes were all full but we were lucky enough to stumble upon this little hole in the wall place. Their falafel boxes were amazing. Full of different salads and not dry at all. I totally recommend it. Poor guy was run off his feet though

Great little takeaway in Falmouth. Had a cranberry brie and bacon sandwich and ate it on the waterfront. Very tasty and highly recommend.

We stopped off for steak pasties and we found the pastry to be lovely flakey and the steak was all meat (no grizzle), great flavour and not too much potato. We went back for two more - they were so good!! Usually my husband gets heart burn from pasties but he did not from these. I recall £3.90 for one, I think.

Great selection of tasty pasties and salads. Plastic free containers and cutlery are provided, which is impressive! The salads are varied, freshly prepared and certainly not your run of the mill stuff ..... think zesty dressings, pumpkin seeds, grated coconut etc. Definitely recommend - buy your lunch and eat it looking out over the harbour.

Now I am a pastie connoisseur and this pastie was a mix of shortcrust and flaky pastry and would give the king of all pasties-philps-a run for its money

Bought 3 bars of kernow chocolate, opened it when I got back and thought it seemed dry and crumbly. Checked the date and 2 bars were 3 months out of date and the other 2. I was sold them at full price, so wasn’t impressed.

An ok dinner experience was brought down by the general manager being a little too sharp with ‘jokes’, complaining about hours worked and lack of staff and being too busy, felt like we were a burden and not paying guests. Food was good, nothing out of this world. Restaurant felt a bit like a function room. View was amazing but you cant see if from the restaurant except for a few tables on one side.

Stopped off here for a couple of portions of chips for lunch. They were absolutely delicious. Piping hot and with salt and vinegar on as that's what I asked for. I cannot wait to come back here again when we revisit in April.

I had the beef burrito with gauc and it was fabulous, I loved the beef it was really tender and the burrito itself was huge. Really great price for the food

As we were staying in Carbis Bay (and having already really enjoyed The Ugly Butterfly) we chose to visit Walter's as well. Booking by telephone was easy and I was impressed that the person taking our booking asked about dietary requirements. We were, however, less impressed when we arrived at the restaurant and the staff appeared both disinterested to see us AND confused by being asked what for a gluten free menu for my wife. It took several minutes for them to manually mark up a menu with a pen to indicate what was gluten free, something we would expect to be ready at a venue in this price range. The food itself was very nice, which is the rescuing factor for this review, but when we pay this sort of price for food we also expect a nice ambience and friendly welcome. This contrast is made especially clear by our having eaten at both adjacent restaurants during the same stay (Beach Club and Ugly Butterfly) where both the staff and the vibes could not have been more friendly, welcoming and fun. We would not choose to return to this restaurant with both these alternatives being only a matter of metres away.
