I had the beef burrito with gauc and it was fabulous, I loved the beef it was really tender and the burrito itself was huge. Really great price for the food

The food was delicious and the service was great. The atmosphere was really chilled with some great music. The prices are reasonable.

Food took a long time to arrive but was worth the wait. The nachos were loaded to the point of needing a fork to finish after the chips were done. The burrito was a handful and filling but would have been better with some more spice. The crispy chicken burger was crunchy but not burnt and had a well-balanced amount of other toppings. I had to squish it to be able to eat it.

The meat here is the standout part of tge menu. It is cooked with Carribbean flavors, although the sweetness may not be to everyone's taste. I love fusion, but the sweet meat in Mexican formats didn't work for me.

Food was amazing, lovely and tasty. £6 cocktails also really good. Received a nice warm welcome however waited for ages for our food even though there were only 2 tables occupied so regrettably only 4 stars

Best chicken burger I’ve ever had. And the fries 😮 Amazing food!

We visited here with our family in April 2024. We ordered the nachos, a burger and a burrito and all were delicious. They don’t have a kids menu as such but our 6 year old had the burger and managed about 3/4 of it; other options would have been half portions of some of the other main menu options. The cocktails we had were delicious - I had a lime and coconut margarita and it was amazing. Service was super friendly and accommodating for the kids. Our total bill came to under £50 which was very good value. Would visit again.

Excellent place, one of our favourites. Great value for some really tasty stuff, my personal favourite being the classic chicken burger and the cajun chips. So good! If we hadn't moved slightly out of range, we would be getting it much more often (as we once did)!

Avoid at ALL costs. I ordered a sandwich and it was £12. £12!! What a joke! I've had better for a lot less from my local supermarket. I've seen staff from this place buy their ingredients from the local supermarket, and yet they still don't know how to make a decent sandwich. This place is a complete RIP OFF! So is Cribbs, their other cafe. Slop on a plate and overpriced. Avoid!

Though we only stayed for a drink, it was a great experience! They have a range of drinks that are really different and really fun (the food does look good though!) They even made us a kind of cocktail when we asked, baileys in an iced latte, with condensed milk, and my god it was delicious, put it on the menu already😅 The shots, happy hour, and variety on offer really impressed us, and the whole place is good vibes all round. If you’re in need of a drink before going out, or want a night go exciting cocktails, mocktails, teas, shots, everything really, here’s the place!

Went for meal with 7 friends early evening, only two other people in the restaurant who had finished. We waited half an hour for them to take our food order, only when we asked did they come over. Waited a further 45mins for our food - bearing in mind at this point there were no others in the restaurant. The food wasn’t great, Halloumi burger was undercooked and a sloppy mess you couldn’t pick up, it was also all cold. The staff were friendly but really not attentive or aware of us, and we had to ask multiple times for things. Would never return, terrible.

Stumbled upon this place and we were so happy that we did. Great cocktails, staff were really friendly but still professional. We started with cocktails and I chose the grilled chicken tacos, my partner opted for the Cuban burger, we also shared the loaded fries with chilli. Firstly hubby to be declared this was the BEST burger he has ever had! Taste, texture, bite spot on. My chicken in the tacos was really tender and dressed beautifully with the salsa topping. Chilli was like a big cuddle all over tasty chips with no trace of grease at all. You must go here! Quality of food is top notch!

Great food, really filling. The food is messy, and need a napkin, but that just added to the experience. Chicken and beef were cooked beautifully and the seasoned chips were amazing. Staff were really friendly and actually chatted to you. Would highly recommend.

Would never order again from here and would advise others not to either.... Ordered food through Deliveroo for family as we had arrived home late, restaurant accepted order only to be told over an hour later that they had cancelled our order and that they were now closed so nothing we could do about it. This obviously resulted in us ordering from another restaurant, two very hungry and tired children and us being extremely angry.

I believe this to be under-rated. The Caribbean cuisine is outstanding , a great departure from the normal choices. The welcome and service is outstanding. I fully recommend Bahama Mamas

Don’t bother ordering from this place using Deliveroo, they accept the order only to cancel it 10mins before it’s due to be with you. Happened more than once. Reported to deliveroo. Very poor

A good place to rest and have a coffee or a snack. The aesthetic both inside and out is very nice and all the staff are very kind and efficient. It's in a very central location as well so it's not particularly difficult to get to. Would highly recommend.

Food tasted so fresh and crunchy. The three corn tacos are a perfect portion size and were the ingredients were perfectly balanced. Burritos looked amazing too. Had a mock tail Strawberry Mojito and that was deliciously fresh too. 10/10

Great drinks, delicious food and smooth tunes

Usually it's tasty but this time I've never received it since the restaurant mixed my order. Just wasted the whole hour waiting and dying from hunger... Crying 😷

Came here for a couple of cocktails for my partners birthday. The place was completely empty on a Friday night so should have taken that as the first red flag. We sat upstairs where the florescent lighting was deeply unpleasant but it was too cold to sit downstairs so we made do. I ordered an espresso martini and it seemed to be made from cold brew rather than espresso. Was deeply disappointing, like drinking vaguely coffee flavoured pond water. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered another cocktail, which was quite nice... or would have been if it didn't have an actual earwig between a slice of orange and the crushed ice. Yes, there was an earwig in my beverage. They did make me a fresh drink (no other niceties were offered - not good enough in my opinion), which was thankfully earwig-less and not bad actually, but not enough to ease my disgust. Needless to say, we left after that, and will not be going back. Would not recommend to anyone.

Pints were served in thin plastic glasses even though we sat inside. So when you picked up the pint you lost part of your pint due to quality of the glass.

Very personable and friendly staff. We were part.of a group of 4 old foggies who stopped.off for tea and hot chocolate... be warned tea can be VERY strong

Good Cocktails, food looked and smelled nice

Went in with my wife for a couple of cocktails before a film, and the staff were brilliant and prompt. Cocktails were next level! And thoroughly enjoyed... Easily the best I have had in a while

Wow! I had an amazing time, the service was fast. The bar staff were polite, quick and fun! Especially James Wheater was wonderful with his service and super friendly!

I have never experienced such slow service. We ordered two cocktails on the cocktail deal and were told we couldn’t double up so by the time they made our second cocktails, the deal was nearly over so we only had two cocktails on the deal within the space of 40 minutes. Then, when we looked outside, we saw a couple with 4 cocktails!! We only ordered chips and tacos which took nearly 40 minutes to arrive even though the place wasn’t that busy and then when we got the bill, it took nearly 5 minutes to receive the change. All in all, some tasty yet expensive food, terrible service and definitely wouldn’t return.

Ignored - Have fun waiting 30+ minutes for table service. Walked out on a Monday afternoon - too cool for school my dudes 🤙

Really enjoyed the goat curry wrap, and a good range of drinks too. Friendly service and will definitely come back to try more of the menu.

I was told that the cocktails here were great, which they definitely are, I had a delicious Salted caramel Espresso martini that was as good as ones in The Ivy but it was the food that was the best bit, because the chilli beef loaded nachos were perfect. Fantastic value, good service. would definitely recommend.

MAY 2021 Tuesday night, unbooked, sat immediately, staff warned of a wait on service due to being busy, although service was actually rather swift! Happy Hour on cocktails meant I had a beautiful freshly blended daiquiri for a fiver :O and the food was INCREDIBLE. And so reasonably priced! Had a cracking evening, will definitely recommend and re-visit.

Never been compelled to write a bad review for a place due to customer service but there's a first time for everything. Tried to wait at the door to be served but they kept us waiting for 10 minutes. When bringing drinks out to other tables, we was told to step outside without any mention of "I'll be with you guys as soon as possible". Even though we kept being ignored, we tried one final time to wait inside to get served. We was told by a blonde girl to step outside again, once stepped outside, was urged to go out further into the street by saying "a bit more guys". Since by that point we were basically back on the street, we decided to leave. Time wasted.

VERY SLOW table service. Cocktails were nice, however service overall was very slow and waitress quite curt. Very quick to shum attention upon requesting payment. Visited the venue Friday.

Went for drinks and food and sat outside. They were clearly busy, but the only service we got in 3 hours was when our order was initially taken. No extra drinks, and we were sat waiting for the bill in the cold for an hour. The food was good, but overall it was a pretty miserable experience.

Dog friendly and al fresco only at this time the food I’ve had here is first class , but they do show the strain when busy. Drinks offerings are good the rather pricey Neck Oil IPA is the nicest IPA I’ve tasted in a. while . Draught Red Stripe gets it done for me

Just terrible. Avoid like the plague. I ordered a takeaway from here and I got the Queen Brie (a fried chicken and brie burger) and a 330ml bottle of coke. This cost me £18 so I was expecting something pretty special. The burger was very sloppily put together, you could see there was no care that went into it whatsoever. It came in a polystyrene box which reminds me of a £5 burger you would get at your local kebab shop. The chicken was slightly overcooked and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. It had a really nasty bitterness and it was quite dry. They had also not made any effort to pound out the meat which resulted in some parts being as thin as a couple of centimetres and some parts being an inch and a half thick. This made the thinner parts dry and inconsistent. The cheese was a pathetic helping of brie, it just looked like they added the skin of the cheese. Imagine someone had sliced off the skin and just used that. The sauce was an onion jam which was very very sweet and tasted like it came from a jar. It came in 30 minutes, which was to their credit quite fast but I was extremely disappointed with the food. £18 For one terrible burger and a coke is quite frankly ridiculous. You could quite easily buy a Dominos for multiple people for the same price.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Was the only sound that emerged from my partner as he otherwise silently indulged in his brisket burrito. I had the beef chili burrito. Equally mmmmmmmy. We ordered through Deliveroo after discovering our home made Bolognese we had defrosted was actually cottage pie mix. (Not a major drama, we just didn’t fancy it). I can say that we often don’t order food from town because it is more often than not, less than warm when it reaches us in Penryn. Tonight was a happy accident for sure! Food was piping hot, well portioned, totally delicious and very much appreciated after the disaster/first world problem of mistaking cottage pie mix for bolognese. We will definitely treat ourselves again, and certainly visit when we are all allowed out to play again. Thanks Bahama Mamas for being the unsuspecting hero of our dinner plans.

The best ever burrito on my first order I've ever had! And believe me I've had some. But.. the classic cheese burger sauce was pretty spicy for my partners taste, mouth on fire. Also the chips comes with the burger and we ordered extra chips!

We ordered off Deliveroo this evening, half of our order was missing, everything was cold and the quality did not match the price we paid by a long shot. I hope someone gets in touch about this or else we will not be ordering again.

Burned burgers, so much sauce on one that the bun disintegrated. Completely over priced for the attrocious quality, this was our second time giving the restraint a second and final chance. We will not be giving this business another chance after this.

Decent tex mex food, slightly pricey but nice atmosphere

We booked Bahama Mamas the week before our trip to Falmouth, attracted by the Tapas menu and 241 drinks. We booked a table for Saturday night. The ‘bouncer’ on the door asked us, ‘Can I help you’ (bit strange) Yeah we have a booking the bouncer scans the ground floor and goes to the bar, the barman hardly looked up and said well we haven’t got room for them they will have to go up stairs. The security person then took us upstairs to our seats on the middle floor, no atmosphere and In the corner was a waiter having his break and reading his book, behind us sat two massive pink barriers? We waited for 10-15 minutes and realised no one was coming up to us to give us menus or take our orders or maybe apologies for obviously forgetting our booking and for the unsightly area we were sat.I went downstairs to ask for a menu to which the female server said well where are you I was like I’m on the middle floor next to the security barriers to which she informed me oh I didn’t know, and to take a photo of the boards for the menu which was fairly awkward as a group of people were enjoying their drinks in-front of it thought I was doing a group photo for them. It’s at this point we noticed they weren’t doing the Tapas menu they did a few days before to which we asked and said that was only on Facebook and not their website (it was)Anyway long story short we voted our feet out of this already amazingly terrible and strange experience which would only get worse and had an amazing evening In The Lookout which was superb. Wish the restaurant would think about the customer experience, we would have been happy to wait a few moments to be treated in the correct manner, instead of the weird chain of events which enfolded.

Arrived for drinks and food, was served 2 beers which were both long out of date. One had a BBE date of March 2019 and the other one was December 2019. We left.

Got a lovely burrito for £7 but it came to 15 pound odd with a pint. If it wasn’t my first beer I wouldn’t have noticed but I thought that was a bit steep for a pint and street food! Even though I must add that burrito was bangin.

This place was so average. Had a veggie burrito and it was so bland. The rice was mushy and tasted like overcooked porridge, the vegetables tasted like they had been cooked in a ready made fajita mix. Also two things I’ve never ever encountered in a restaurant like this 1) A charge of £2.50 to eat in. This was displayed in very small writing on the board on the wall which was also their menu 2) You had to pay extra for all your toppings like salsa, guacamole, cheese etc. So a standard veggie burrito with standard toppings you’d usually get in a burrito ended up being £12.50 with the charge No thanks

Called for coffees. Weak and little flavour. Friendly though.

Waited around 40 minutes to queue when there were 2 people in front at the start of when we were queuing. When there was a table. They told us we wouldn't be allowed in as a member of staff said the pupils of two of us were too big. And refused us entry because this reason. Speaking to other people in the area others have had similar experiences. Rude bouncers wasting our time for no good reason.

Came for a few drinks with the partner before a meal, and wished we’d booked for a meal here instead! Bar man/ waiter Charlie was super friendly and efficient, with incredible cocktail knowledge. Great team ethos and atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We had a small glass of red wine and 1/2 pint lager....bill was nearly £11!! very steep we thought. We did sit in and nobody took our name or numbers for contact tracing, its not the only place that didnt do this!!

A cute Caribbean cafe with amazing cappuccinos and cocktails. My husband and I both had a cappuccino and it was lovely and creamy. The food also looked amazing but we were too stuffed from having a roast.

The food here is seriously incredible! I’m already booked in to come back next week. I had the quesadilla and so did my friend and then we shared a bowl of nachos and the food was just gorgeous. There was so much food for the price - 100% worth getting the cocktails as well, they’re to die for.

Me and my friends wanted to go out for a nice meal. There were no prices allocated to the menu. The service was poor at best, it felt like the waiter did not want to be there more than we did. Upon receiving the bill we were shocked and appalled, we find out we were charged with a sit in fee of £2.50 per person which we did not know about until it was too late. Overpriced and poor food, poor service, combined with the lack of social distancing enforcement during this pandemic, its clear that there is only one thing on the mind for this pub £££

Visited late afternoon as the rain came. Dog friendly which was good so didn’t have to sit outside under the cover Coffee and cake at £5. Good coffee too. Was made it for us was the waiter bringing some water over for the dog. Great service.

In the midst of COVID you would have thought that the restaurant’s would have been making an extra effort...not so here! The bar staff just looked at us, we sat down....no one came over! We stood up after another couple of minutes and left! Shame, we’ve eaten here before and it was good....went to Lemon Twist instead which was awesome! Shame on you Bahama Mamas!

Ordered a jackfruit naked burrito - which was very tasty but portion size was very small even compared to other dishes. They need to display "eat in charge" upfront and not after you've ordered. Otherwise very nice ambience with tasty food.

My favourite place in falmouth to grab a lunchtime meal .lovely flavours and if you like your Caribbean food with a bit of extra punch just ask when you order

Really delicious food and excellent service - Will definitely be returning! Whilst we visited during a busy lunch period someone unfortunately got stuck in the toilet and the staff dealt with it so well! One suggestion would be that management get more staff on during the busy weekends as the poor waiter looked very stressed and overwhelmed although handled with the whole situation remarkably well and kept smiling throughout

Service was fast, waitress was very friendly and the food tasted great. Couldn't fault the place. We all ordered very different meals with different requirements and all agreed it was great.

My boyfriend and I popped in on a whim whilst it was quiet during a day out in Falmouth. We were seated quickly and the waiter was very friendly. Food was fantastic quality, portion sizes and tasted really fresh. We both had a mocktail as it was a bit early for alcohol and both of them were lovely and refreshing and a good amount for the money. The waiter who served was called Joey (name on receipt). Very reasonably priced, really relaxed and friendly vibes and good music.

Sometimes the service is a bit chaotic but the food is always good!

Booked for 6 people & had a table in the window.The food was delicious &extremely generous portions.Cocktails inventive & music not obtrusive.The only thing I think could increase the atmosphere,would be softer lighting& some fun,tropical themed music.

We popped in for dinner and it was such a treat - great service (we got two rum cocktails which were £5 each - got to love happy hour) and had delicious food. Even the bread and oil was gorgeous - the bread had been toasted and drizzled with something sweet and spicy. My partner went for the jerk chicken and macaroni pie - both so tasty and flavoursome. I had a vegan super bowl which was like food for the soul in a bowl - wholesome, filling (but not too much!) and a feast for the eyes, too. So many vegan bowls are sad lettuce leaves composites but this had so many goodies in it with an amazing Caribbean twist. Go!

I'm a local and there are many options in Falmouth for eating out, all depends on what you fancy. I have eaten here 3 times now and have had a really good meal each time. The menu has been different each time and the experience has always been a positive one, genuine, polite staff. You know when you think you've found a cracking new restaurant and then you go back and are dissapointed the second time? Hasn't happened here.
