Had luch here with my daughter it was a lovely sunny day so we sat in the garden and ate. We both had prawn sandwiches and they were delicious lovely atmosphere and a great pub have been here a good few times over the years and the staff are always lovely

We got a table immediately in a quiet area of the pub. Luckily withput booking the pub had lots of people in. The gentleman who seated us was so polite and helpful We ordered two lamb roasts, the potatoes were crispy and fluffy on inside the lamb, was so delicious, and melt in mouth. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Order extra gravy as it does come out with only a little on plate. The whole meal was just so yummy. We ordered lemon meringue for dessert. This was also so delicious. We will definitely be coming again soon. we will bring friends, too there was karaoke in the bar as well which was very good the atmosphere was just lovely its how a pub atmosphere should be The new owners are doing a smashing job I cannot fault this establishment at all it was perfect from start to finish. Even our drinks were well made and garnished. This is a must visit you won't be disappointed

Not very good last night Salmon and Prawn Salad said £11-95 on special but it was £14-95 I paid for it then got refund because they said they did not have any left the n it turns up on the table they made a mistake I thought the salmon would have been hot but it was cold and taste less the only thing that was hot was the potatoes we did not enjoy it ,we go lunch times normally and the staff are very pleasant and can not do enough for you , I sent a e mail last night but no reply yet ,the wife said she does not want to eat there again Please reply or Phone me

A wonderful pub in a lovely setting. Great food and a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available and served by friendly, welcoming staff. The prices are reasonable for drinks and food alike. There is a lovely beer garden to the side, with plenty of seating and shading. Due to the location, right on the banks of the river Stour, this would make an ideal place to start or finish a very scenic walk. Bingo is also available on a Friday evening and Live music (usually 50's / 60's genre) on a Sunday afternoon. There isn't a playground for the kids, but plenty of beautiful, natural countryside to explore nearby and of course the river - with boats (all kids like boats, right?). I cannot recommend this place highly enough, perfect for a little escape from the hustle and bustle!

Absolute gem of a find. We spent the weekend on the caravan site and the pub was a bonus. Such friendly people, excellent food and lovely surroundings. Dog friendly and child friendly an absolutely excellent pub

Had the beef Sunday roast which is Some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten. Definitely cheap frozen rubbish. The pub’s interior resembles an old people’s home.

Great place to eat. I have Coeliac disease and i was catered for. I felt safe eating here as the staff were knowledgeable. Reasonably priced and a great friendly atmosphere. Thank you very much,it helped to make my stay at The Dog and Duck Leisure Park a very enjoyable one. Would defintely go back.

Returned after a long absence. Food and service were as good as we remembered. Had a lovely Sunday roast. Only drawback was the fact the Apple Crumble & Custard was the best ever, meaning other pubs won't get a look in for a while.

Food absolutely delicious, and plenty of it. The only thing stopping this being 5 stars was the service. Drinks were brought to the table but the empties weren't being cleared, once our food had been served they seemed to lose interest in us. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, the staff just seemed bored of being there.

We recently used the Dog and Duck for a small wake. From the phone call to the end of the day they were fantastic. They provided us with a small side room with lovely views of the garden. We also had the silver buffet for the food and it was fantastic, with a good selection of items and a special mention for their scotch eggs, which were out of this world. Would recommend them in a heartbeat. Also beautiful location.

Make sure you are really hungry when you go as the portions are very generous, and plenty of variety to choose from! Would highly recommend.

Lovely place. Pub was excellent. The Caravan park and the Caravan we stayed in was brilliant. Our granddaughter's loved the place especially the ducks. We also got to see a bit of history with the boat that went to Dunkirk to help with the evacuation off our brave military personnel during World War 2.

Took a coach of 55 lovely people on Wednesday, and what a fantastic time we had, the food was out of this world and as for the staff and the owners where absolutely amazing. Even tho they where shorts staff all food was served baking hot and plenty of it We will certainly be back And Nick doing the entertainment made the day Thank you so so much everybody Jayne Nights out Tours

Had a meal here, it was nothing special but they had a live band and we enjoyed dancing to some old rock n roll.

All the people that leave 4 star reviews for this place have a caravan on the site. I stopped there to get a bit of food and it was horrible. The burger had been frozen cooked and then re-cook. The worst pub food I’ve ever had.

Perfect place to sit in the sun with a pint!

Nice grounds but tired inside & not particularly friendly. There was a queue at the bar so went to use the toilet first and staff suggested that this was my primary reason for the visit! Still ordered 2 drinks, as this is what we had planned and enjoyed them outside, but won't be rushing back as was pretty rude & unwelcoming.

Always an enjoyable experience, with good food and friendly staff. In previous years we have always sat in the lovely garden, but our visits this year have coincided with rain. Not that it spoilt our visit.

Sunday roast was pretty good. Standard size and price. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Pub set in the 80's but it suits the location it's a beautiful part of the world that is at a slower speed great place to relax and take time out. Traditional pub grub nothing special, staff very welcoming and friendly. Dog friendly and nice outside seating area

Having owned a caravan on this site for several years before we finally moved into the area 17 years ago , my wife June and I decided to have a nostalgic look around the current set-up and then some lunch in the Dog & Duck. The staff were friendly and professional and made us very welcome. The main courses were not only plentiful but were absolutely delicious. Compliments all round! We intend to return with our daughter and grandson. And the best news of all......"Guinness Zero" for those of us who have to drive. Well done everybody.

Singer in the delightful garden on Sunday for daughters birthday but sadly spent most of time waiting 40 mins for our collective food orders inside. One child's meal read incorrectly by staff- apologies made and said they would take it off the bill.That did not happen and my elderly mother who paid forgot to check the printout! Staff behind the bar and waitresses were lovely though . A little disappointed with roast dinner- but then no one can compete with my husbands roast!

Got recommended by a neighbor. Sat outside in the garden as the sun was out. The food was good had homemade pies and vegetables. Did have a quick look inside. Big premises looking a little tired in places. Toilets were clean. And the staff were friendly. Nice walk along the river. A big bonus. A caravan site next to the Dog and Duck inn.
