Without any doubt - THE best #glutenfreebread gluten free bread I’ve tasted in 35 years being a #coeliac ❤️ Sold frozen, either sliced or unsliced, the bread actually has a fabulous tasty chewy crust - once defrosted, it stays soft and very edible for at least 3-4 days (I keep it in the fridge). It makes a divine sandwich with flavour and texture as closely matching ordinary ‘non gluten free’ bread as I can remember. The loaf isn’t huge but it really packs a punch and hits the spot for both myself and my daughter - both coeliac for many years. Hubby and grandchildren love their bread and cakes, cheese straws and savoury & sweet pasties - overall, a great bakery - always VERY busy and that may well, in part be due to the wonderful smell that drifts thru Wingham High Street every day!

The village bakery makes a fantastic gluten free loaf - available sliced or unsliced, sold frozen, but it defrosts beautifully and stays fresh, tasty, crusty and delicious for 3-4 days. Highly recommend! Hubby says wonderful cheese straws, Gipsy Tart - and large range of sweet and savoury pastries, cakes, sandwiches and coffee - fab place in heart of historic village.

Lovely little bakers if im in the area i always stop to grab a lovely fresh roll filled with what ever i decide on having and the pies etc are to die for. Lovely ladies serving, see you soon hopefully.

Beautiful cakes freshly made 😍 and a great variety for all tastes. I purchased some chilli jam and it was amazing most definitely going to stock up on these. The cafe was very busy but still able to be seated. All in all a great place to visit and catch up with old friends.

This is a bakery that serves excellent products to feed your needs, good fresh food to takeaway or eat in. Well worth a stop if in Wingham. It is a very nice place to stop on your journey

All the food there is very good but the staff are all always so miserable.

Honestly, I was amazed, went in for a couple snacks while passing through the village got multiple items and was flabbergasted that every item was a 10/10. the shortbread was like a cloud never had anything like it before. Rocky Road was soft and flavoursome with all the treats on board, apple turn over was cooked to perfection and caramel slice was out of this world. The location is well out my way but will 100% go back to good to miss out on. Big shout out to the friendly staff.

Moved to the area in 2015 from Sussex and gave up baking bread when I found this Bakery. Absolutely superb food and service. Best bread I've ever tasted and my father was also a Baker!

Can't fault this bakery. Visited Wingham yesterday as new to the area and called in for a cake for my mum. 3 pasties, 3 cakes and a loaf of bread later we went on our merry way!! Next time I'll be stopping for coffee and cake too as they have a tiny area to sit. Can't fault anything we bought and recommended is the vegan pasty and the rocky road cakes. Recommended. Great location on a fairly busy road but quite a few, areas to park up and we parked right outside.

Great place lovely staff and I cant eat much as the bread contains palm oil as an emulsifier. Sad as I live in the village and would use it often.

I just wish our local bakery was this good. We were staying near Wingham in an AirBnB property and whenever we ate in bread from this bakery was on the table. It’s excellent

We love this bakery and always stop when passing. They do the best jam doughnuts in the whole of the UK. Proper old school donuts - lots of jam and sugar!

worst service ever. staff with uncovered hair and no face masks. they don't know the price of what they sell and were generally surly / borderline rude.

Popped in this morning (16 nov)and had a coffee and was talking to the lovely lady who works there about the bakery and on leaving the shop bought a piece of bread pudding and a gypsy tart,both were absolutely fab,my husband says bread pud is the best around,will definitley recommend ,we will be back.

Lovely little village bakery, it's so wonderful to see a local business so busy. Everything looks and tastes amazing. There is even a little eat-in area, perfect for a quick breakfast.

This is the best and lightest bread I have tasted. We also used them to supply the buffet for our daughters wedding it was perfect. They were on time, professional, it all looked beautiful but most importantly the food tasted amazing. This is the second time we have used them for a large function and I cannot recommend them and the bakery staff highly enough.

I called into Wingham bakery as I was passing and was very pleasantly surprised to find several vegan options! Vegan sausage rolls, vegan lattice rolls and vegan red Thai slices. I had the vegan sausage roll and it was delicious, even better than the Greggs one! I later regretted not trying the other offerings. Thank you Wingham bakery for considering us vegans. I will be back and will spread the word. I hope you offer some sweet vegan treats and cakes in the near future.

Originally started popping in just to buy a take-away pasty. But recently I've 'eaten in' quite a few times: and had a coffee, pasty Danish etc. The only problem with spending a bit of time there is the temptation to have 'just one more'! Everything I've tried is absolutely delicious. - I highly recommend this little gem.

One of the best bakerys I have visited the bread is so fresh and the cakes are all great with a wide selection,the service from the moment you walk in the door is friendly and nothing is ever to much trouble.

Lived in Wingham for 60 years and this bakery has always been there. A testament as to how good they are. I remember going there as a child to buy cakes. And it’s not changed that much

We often visit here on the way home from ParkRun on a Saturday - excellent fresh cakes, good value for money and they supply lots of local shops / farm shops - a sign of quality!

I was driving past this bakers on my way to lunch but just had to stop and walk back. When I worked in Wingham years ago we used to stop off to buy cakes . The selection of breads and cakes is amazing and the prices very good. Good old local baker still servicing the local community.

Wilmshurst bakery, is a traditional bakers with a small seating area and a big selection of savory food and a large range of cakes, snacks, coffee and tea. it was great finding it in Wingham on my way through the village, i will return on my next trip through that area. really very good.

Visited for the first time. Good selection of cakes and savouries but all rather on the pricey side. Noticed no hot savouries, they warm them up in the microwave which made them soggy. Overall not bad but wouldnt rush back.

Good all round Bakers. Probably one of the best breadmakers around, but you will have to get there early as they do sell out of things quite quickly, they also do an excellent range of cakes and savoury pies, pasties etc., so don't go in the shop if you are easily tempted and are watching the calories.

Fabulous fresh cakes and bread selection daily. Orders taken for any occasion. Used for weddings and BBQ's in the past. Friendly helpful staff. Has a small area where u can sit and enjoy a freshly prepared sandwich.

Becoming a rare thing these days a village bakery with fresh bread and pies each day as well as a point of call for takeaway lunches for a huge number of local tradesmen.

I've stopped off here to buy bread about 4 times but I've never had the patience to wait as long as it takes in the queue so I can't say what it tastes like. The place is typically filled with groups of builders ordering bacon butties and the like, so their recommendation is taken as read. BUT the process is that one lady asks the first person in the queue what they want, they give their order for themselves and the three mates still in the van. The lady then goes out the back and comes back with the order 5 minutes later. After three of these and two more to go, I just leave. Maybe she could occasionally ask 'Does anyone only want bread?' Obviously whatever is going on is freshly made. I was there once where two lady's were serving but this just meant that there were two of them around the back. No division of labour here.

called in here for breakfast, and we had the best bacon roll we have had out and about. It was cooked the way we liked the bacon cooked, well done and the roll was nice and fresh, coffee was good. and the service was very good.

Always friendly staff and happy to accommodate even the strangest of requests. The sandwiches and cakes are lovely and great to have a place like this in a village, never let them close

There's a small café area at Wilmshurst's, but the thing that really matters is the quality of their baking. The bread is really excellent and their pies are first class too. I've been buying from them for almost 25 years and though I no longer live in the village I still go back for their bread.

A marvellous bakers shop,with some seating.I buy bread there and have done for years.I recommend it for this.I have never eaten there ,but it is busy with sandwiches ,rolls etc,for passing trade,and is popular
