Good, cheap beer but the barmaid was there only periodically. Friendly clientele but the place lacked character and atmosphere

Popped in for a pint, no staff behind the bar, four or five people came in, still no service, when eventually someone arrived, he went straight to the first person, didn't ask who's next, I walked out, really poor attitude to customers.

We only popped in here for a pint on Saturday evening but what a good pub it is. Welcoming with a warm ambience, and plenty of sport on the wide screens to keep most football fans happy.

Cheap drinks and Karaoke on a Thursday Night!

Cheap wet pub. Friendly. Good music. Lots of screens for sport. Good locals

They don't do food but drinks are soo cheap and bar staff are amazing

I'm sorry to say, but this place has seriously gone downhill since the new management. My friends and I are regulars, we meet here most Saturdays and I go here for the odd drink as a pit stop. We've been 'threatened' with a ban 3x and today was the final straw. We won't be going again, best of luck 😏

Good selection of beers but sadly no real ales. The Guinness was good though. Staff was friendly and prices were about right

Amazing pub, came for the weekend and wanted to find a sports bar to watch the rugby, this place didn't disappoint, screens everywhere. Good prices on the bar. Bar staff were so friendly. It was so good we came back later in the evening for entertainment.

The lick of paint and the rearranging of furniture has given the place a new feel but the lack of real ales is a real poor point They have now taken the decision to remove the ale taps from the bar so you are restricted to run of the mill beer or cider pity No real ale just pump drinks

Just a 'dive'. Photos look good, but its not, its terrible. Locals there simply stink. No one in there has ever showered or learnt to speak. Full of 'scum'. Do not enter

Staff were unbelievably rude and racist, my friends and I have never been treated so appallingly. You couldn’t pay me to go back to this place.

Abhorrent behaviour by the bouncers at this place. Clearly racist and very aggressive. Stopped my friend from entering despite her using a valid Driving Licence from a different country as ID. Extremely unprofessional and clearly not trained in deescalation and ID recognition. I would avoid this place like the plague.

Hygiene is normal but can be better. Working staff is not friendly, not good listeners, hope will listen to clients and their needs. Music is bad, unfortunately if you wanna really spend time with great music you have to find another pub.

Good and safe pub to relax in Gloucester

First time to busy while waiting for a bus, really enjoyed it, calm relaxing and friendly. Missed the bus.

Lovely staff and great atmosphere, also bargain prices. Basically it's like a spoons without the food and with a more welcoming friendly feel. Beautiful beer garden at the back and some nice decor. However the DJ was barely at his booth using a premixed compilation of pop songs on free laptop software. When I wanted to make a song request I waited a long time for him to return from the bar with his pint, to then be told "it's already on the list" and it didn't actually play for the 2 hours we waited. If the owners want a house DJ please let me know, I could do a better job myself just from what my professional boyfriend has taught me! Bit disappointed with that but all in all got drunk, made some friends and had fun for a reasonable price.

Been a few times, cheap drinks which is fabulous in this time, no riff raff, sensible in who the serve and turn people away who have had too much, good they look after you, karaoke night is fab!

This place does not even deserve one star ordered a cherry cocktail was given a horrible drink which tasted like sick asked for another one but the manager denied rudely . Manager wouldn’t even talk the menus had a pic of a cherry drink they said there was no cherry’s .

You're (not) welcome! From the outset, the staff in this place acted as if they were doing us a favour. That alone should tell you all you need to know, but read on if you need more detail. I think it was the snide eye rolls from this particular staff member that first gave it away. I mean, imagine walking in to a Kevin & Perry sketch, in which Kevin was working behind the bar, barely spoke, and the only way they could communicate was via their body language. Only shoulder shrugs, eye rolls and the occasional loud exasperated sigh giving away their mood. Now, imagine if this 'Kevin' was also really bad at their job and couldn't get even the most basic orders right but got all the more annoyed whenever you corrected them. I'm not saying that bar staff never get it wrong sometimes, of course they do, but never have I seen such a terrible attitude from somebody in the service industry whose livelihood depends on those people putting money behind the bar. It's at this point that I feel the need to clarify that we were a group of six professional, mature individuals. Not exactly shrinking violets, but always polite. No worse than you'd expect to see in any lively bar up and down the country. We weren't the drunkest people in the world... but then, hell, we weren't even the drunkest people in the bar! Yet for some reason they seemed to take against us. Maybe because we were enjoying ourselves more than the rest of the customers and we were ruining their sad dive-bar vibe. I was originally thinking to blame the whole experience on this one bar member, but that would be unfair. I found this terrible level of service replicated across all staff, from the manager downwards. I gave this place a one-star rating only because Google wouldn't allow me to rate them zero. This place acts as if they're allergic to money. At least in that respect we can help them out, as they definitely won't be getting any more of ours.

Absolute horrendous place. Management refused to talk to me at the bar when staff were told to refuse service. Numerous calls to clarify situation but calls were rejected by management. Very poor establishment and I feel sorry for the staff. Shameful in all respects. Thank you for your response to my review. At no point was I rude to your staff. I asked a simple question and then was told that the management wouldn't talk to me. I'll give you an extra star because you actually responded. Also, just to add something on to your reply; if I was in fact so very intoxicated then how did I manage to leave such a poor review?

Same drinks all night for my partner and I, check my bank 2 different prices from the others..always try to get a receipt when paying by card or keep an eye on your online banking details

Without doubt this is the best worst pub I've ever been to! From the people killing the karaoke or the poor sound system to the sticky floors. However the staff were awesome and cheap drinks so as out of towners and working all day cheap drinks was what we needed. Nobody bothered us, left to drink.

Good atmosphere, and it needs a open juke box too. Or open DJ disc table

Ummmm, not the nicest pub, it smells and u can tell the pipes have not been cleaned as all the beer and cider taste the same.

Nice beer off tap, £2.15 a pint, 5 jagerbombs for £10 (using cheap energy drinks) recommended for a cheap days drinking.

Good cask beer nice place to watch rugby.

Pipes haven't been cleaned in months. Ended up violently I'll after 1 pint. Didn't even finish said pint due to the mould floating in it

I can say a lot about the doctors, the bar staff are absolutely brilliant and very good with there service. The managers are very kind and respectful but they can also have a laugh with the locals which makes you feel welcome. They also have karaoke nights on which are a good laugh. Over all, very chuffed

Absolute vile. Manager was a nasty bit of work and a gambling addict and his other staff was just bullies. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you like to drink toilet water flavoured beers.

Was in there Friday night , waited 20 minutes to be served, then when I was finally seen a curly browned girl came up and Rudley asked "what do you want". After taking my order she snactched he money from my hand and threw the change on the side! She then laughed and was arrogant and rude as well! I will definitely not be coming again!

Very good price. Nice vibe (went during the day, so can't comment at night). Friendly staff. Usual range of beers, they could make this more interesting tbh as the range of beers was a bit dull, only criticism.
