The food is always hot and fresh. This is absolutely my favourite Chinese takeaway.

Honestly absolutely horrible, NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS PLACE THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN HONESTLY POORLY MADE FOOD EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK

Had a very sore stomach all night after having a takeaway

Still waiting for food an hour after the delivery due time. Eathot says it’s been dispatched an hour ago. Called after 30 mins and told it’s out for delivery by a very rude person that didn’t want to be on the phone. Now going to have to try and get a refund as no food has arrived. Not good and won’t be using again!

Crispy duck not Crispy, not on bone and not hot, chopped up looked more like pet food and a bit dry (I've had worse but not by much) ,not enough cucumber and spring onion and at room temperature, sauce was watered down with vineger and a bit of water I think spring rolls watery so obviously frozen and soft and bland ,special foo yung tasted nice but not that special a bit short on ingredients. Slightly overpriced for the quality Not the worst meal but wouldn't recommend or go back

First time ordering from here, food was absolutely amazing probably the best Chinese in Gloucester, tasty food well cooked hot on delivery all round delicious can’t fault anything.

For anyone who reads negative comments about this takeaway, don't be put off! They are THE most accommodating premises ever. Nothing is too much trouble and they will always help where they can! Constant 5 stars

Cold dried food. Rang the take away ...... they did not care about My complaint. I am sure My complaint will be taken off site. But for the few that do see this post ..... please try and stand your ground and complain. You have to remember .......we are paying for a service .

Haven't been here for a while but we had a lovely meal from them on the 28th

All good. I went and ordered there and a short wait for my food. All hot and lovely when I got home

Food was bland tasteless noodles were cold squid was like leather crispy beef had no sauce egg fried rice had no egg and was very bland

Always had a good meals from here but the last 2meals did not taste like my original so will not order any more ☹️

Really good service and very quick delivery

This is my first time ordering here. The prices seemed more manageable than other places in the area. However, I was disappointed when it came because the food was bland and seemed to be refried. The chicken balls were hard and chewy. The rice was much the same as the chicken balls. The beef was not any better, it was full of unidentifiable vegetables and thin chewy beef. I did not enjoy my dinner. I’ve been craving an Asian takeaway all year! It’s a shame that my order was wasted with this place. The food came within 45 mins of ordering so it definitely wasn’t freshly made. The man on the phone was really polite, so was the man who delivered it but the food just lacked the flavour I was looking for. I would not recommend this restaurant, based on this occasion.

I ordered chicken balls and received spring rolls. This is not the first time and i will not be ordering here again. Its like you order car and bus turns up instead.

Do not eat from here! We all got food poisoning from this place and the chicken and rice dishes were definitely old and filled with listeria! It was terrible

Had a chicken omelette, bland as anything, no peas either, no chips, seem to have scraped on flavour as well, use to be better than this

Horrified to find out that our delivery driver was EATING OUR FOOD, then checking for a camera to see if he had been found out!! Even waiting until after he had knocked to eat them! HORRENDOUS.

Very disappointed. The chips were stale, the rice and curry sauce was warm.. Won't be getting food from there again.

I thought I would order a takeaway while i'm house sitting in gloucester. First off the website says they don't open until 5pm, so I pre ordered and the estimated order was 5.45pm, but it arrived at 5:05pm, the chips as you can see were stale and at least a day old, they just reheated them, the chicken balls were rolls, the chicken in the chow mein was precooked before being mixed into the dish, which gave it a hard texture, the noodles were the thin type not normally served with that dish. As far i'm concerned the meal was disgusting, I have booked an appointment for Environmental health to pick the food up on Monday.

We’ve been using New Garden for many years. Excellent food, great service, good portion size, couldn’t fault it. Would highly recommend!

Did not enjoy my meal at all. Chicken balls had no taste and were just horrible most of my meal went in the bin.

Rubbish . Ordered via JustEat on a Saturday. Order was pre-ordered and confirmed by restaurant only to get an email later on to say order cancelled due to no drivers . Still waiting for refund

Best Chinese takeaway in Gloucester, we never go anywhere else now.

Food I can not complain about, but the timings are the worst I've ever known from any Chinese. We were told 45 minutes and gave it 1 hour, so rang and got told 20 minutes and phoned again after 30 minutes and told on its way and 15 minutes later it arrived. Not excepted and not one call to say running late.

Amazing food and great value for money. Have been eating from them since 2015. Still keeping the yummy taste. Will be ordering again and again.

Second visit recently. Found it to be nice & clean. Didn't have to wait too long & food was great. Pleasant staff.

A fantastic Chinese takeaway whose food is always fresh and tasty. They do a nice range of Thai food including my favourite Thai style chicken chow mein for those who like their meal spicy. The staff are friendly and very polite.

Decent potions. Chips were too crispy. Got the delivery through just eat app.

Arrived tepid verging on cold which is odd as we don't live far away no distinguishing flavour all taste the same only noticable thing was the different textures ....on a gd note it was cheap ...... a shame first time and last time 😕

Fast & efficient service, delivered 10 mins earlier than expected (pretty impressive considering my address isn't exactly the easiest to locate). Food was hot & tasty.

So sad that you refuse to deliver to me, your delivery zone is only 4 miles and apparently being 4.1 mile away is to far. Not great when I dont drive so cant collect as suggested on the phone. On just Eat says I'm only 3.1 miles away

Great chinese and good value for money. Can recommend the meal deal for 2 which has beef in black bean sauce and lucky chicken.

I've no idea why there are bad reviews on this place! We've lived in Gloucester for 3 years now and have always been delighted with the quality of food from New Garden. Especially like that the food isn't full of artificial food colouring! Definitely would recommend to all.

Always get great food and service, never had any issues in 5 years of using. Really don't understand 2 negative reviews, strange how copy & pasted text - obviously just another malious review. Recommended .5*

Worst experience ever we ordered a meal for the family and when it arrived it was stone cold the man came to pick the food barged into my home past me went into the kitchen and started abusing my farther he then told us never to order from them again as he would not deliver it again and he packed the food into a bag it is the first time we ever had a complaint about this place and we used to order two times a week

Very rude when phoned back and complained the food was cold the Chinese man turned up at my door barged past my young daughter and grab the food out of my kitchen and told me he will never come here again we’ll we used to order twice a week from this place and he’s lucky he’s still walking never again
