The Dockyard in Portsmouth

I actually didn’t go into Dockyard but I wanted to write a review of appreciation for Michel the security guard, who very kindly helped me change my tire tonight in the freezing cold! Clearly dockyard care about who is representing them, even on the door, and big thank you to the manager who allowed him to dip out to come and help me. Absolute legend, can’t thank him enough!!

Perfect place for bottomless brunch lovely service from Chole and had a good variety of drinks as well foods , very enjoyable

Not too much to say really. We came for late night drinks, we enjoyed said drinks and also very much enjoyed the wide variety of music played. Good service, good beers, good music --> good venue.

Service is amazing and so fast, special shout out to Jess she had such a positive energy and was very helpful. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!

Never had a brunch before and was invited here with family for our nieces 18th birthday celebration. From start to finish I was very impressed with the venue, the amount of variety of food and drink on the menu, the atmosphere and the service we received from our bar tender Robbie. He made sure our glasses were never empty. In the 2 hour slot booked, we must of had 6-7 rounds of drink all alcoholic of course. We couldn’t have had any better service from the bar tender. Will definitely recommend the venue to others and for the price of £30 per person it was money well spent and definitely superb value for money.

Excellent place to come for food, drinks and sports entertainment. The staff were lovely and polite, particularly the girl who was serving me , Kaya. She was very welcoming, talkative and knew exactly what she was doing when it came to recommending, making and serving our drinks. Was a great experience and would recommend to all friends and family.

Last week my family and I came in for some lunch and couldn’t have been happier. The garden was very pleasant on such a nice day and the food was excellent, they even had a good choice for the young ones. Served by a very helpful barmaid Kaya who helped with everything we needed. We will certainly be coming back soon.

Had a lovely evening with friends elsewhere, after a busy day with family, prepping for music work. Never been to this dockyard pub before, and was suggested this pub after a music night. Worst mistake and I woudlnt recommend this place to any female. Arrived at midnight, bought a beer each, and sat outside and wanted to leave as soon as we got in - however it was charged on the door so had one and then plan was to go home after that. Garden shut about 1 am. A girl I recognised who sat on the same table as us had left her jacket in the garden so I went to get it for her as it had only just closed, door and lights were open with the bouncers out there. I am on the autism spectrum and was just trying to help someone not loose their belongings. The man on the door put his arm into my face as a block whilst I had stepped out of the door and kept it there, this hurt and I was very upset and triggered me. I was hurt for trying to just get a coat. What had it been my own jacket with my house keys in. Two large door men, and a 3rd smaller man, I am a small 30 year old female, dragged me by both arms and legs, I was terrified, calling for my other half. I was dragged to an unknown exit - had never been to this pub before and was scared, thrown into the back exit, into bins and left on the floor bruised from their heavy handedness. My partner, who was indoors at the time, checked to see why I was taking so long as I was being dragged out, was also bruised and pushed on top of me. With them knowing this is a hazardous fall they continued to do so. Along with being dragged out by two massive men and a 3rd man, a girl on their own to their knowledge, to a none public exit. This whole situation was traumatic and disgusting. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else and especially anyone with any health issues or autism. I work nights, distribution, maintenance, and creative works during the week, to be chucked around like this, is degrading, and I was scared, and not pissed, had 4 beers the whole night! This is absolutely unforgivable. On this note. I have work this weekend, a physical job. And my whole body aches from this ordeal.

oh my! came here after a night out for a little pick me up and the food was amazing! Was this lovely girl behind the bar if i remember correctly chloe?? but she went above n beyond to ensure we had everything we wanted/needed.

Came in for a couple drinks before a gig at guildhall and the atmosphere was so lovely, our server chloe was perfect she was so attentive and had great banter! how fun, would definitely come back n bring all my pals they’d love it

We came in on Sunday evening to watch the football game, lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff, especially Kaya! Will be back again soon!!

Bottomless Brunch! This was really good value for money! We had endless supply of prosecco! As well as a good choice of cocktails. Although the cocktails were all super sweet, the food selection was also good and we didn't have to wait to long for it after we ordered. We had a great server, Ben, who was excellent!! Thanks for a great afternoon! We will be back

We were recommend the dockyard for bottomless brunch by good friends after they had an amazing afternoon for bottomless brunch. We have done plenty of bottomless brunches this past year so decided to give the Dockyard Portsmouth a try. We were looking forward to our visit. I’ll start off with our visit was very disappointing the area we were sat at was very cold probably to do with the massive gap in the fire exit door where the wind howls through. Glad our table number was changed from 26 to 25. The cocktails aren’t great. Pornstar martinis no garnish, more foam than drink and the last few didn’t get the shot of Prosecco with them. Espresso martini well I can’t even explain this one as the glass was 3 quarters foam and no taste of alcohol in it. To cut a long story short the best drink we had was a pint of lager. The food was great we ordered the bbq pizza and the 1kg of bbq chicken wings .. these were plentiful and very tasty. Service our server seemed to have a lot of tables to attend to and he tried his best drinks weren’t fast like our friends visit. No toilet paper in any of the ladies cubicles and men were having to leave toilet paper outside the ladies. Not a great experience and personally don’t think this bottomless brunch was worth the money compared to others in the area.

I booked for the six nations match which I have done previously. I did book 3 days before which was late than I had hoped, but I’d rather be told no than get what we had been given . There was no need for the seating we got, as we had to look through a table of people eating and through drinking brunch, as there was a tv in between (as pictured). When we could see, we were then blocked by people sitting in the standee area. Not only this, but we had to ask more than three times for the rugby to be put on (it’s advertised to be played) and for someone else to turn the very loud music off and for the commentary to be played. So disappointed and I know you guys were under pressure but so disappointed by the sporting.

The variety of food and drinks available were great! Huge selection of craft ales and ciders plus a menu that catered to some of our parties allergies. I ordered the crowd pleaser and the portion was enormous and great value for money, plus it was out nice and quick and was all made fresh. The drinks were nice and affordable so we stayed for a few rounds of pool after as well

Food was ok but the place was very dirty the toilet seats full of hair and bar floors very sticky. When being sat at the table I noticed the chairs were very dirty which put me off my food

Chloe is the most amazing server during our bottomless brunch for my friends hen do, she was so good with making sure we had drinks at all times and so lovely with us all and welcoming. Service was impeccable

Came down for a bite to eat and cocktails, Parker was amazing! Best cocktails I’ve ever had and went above and beyond for us!!!

Bottomless brunch was amazing. Lewis was an absolute star; I have allergies and he was excellent at checking what I could eat/drink and ensuring we all had an amazing time. He is a credit to the place, and the reason I would happily come back again for outstanding service.

We reserved a table for 7 to watch the six nations rugby. The table was placed right in front of the large projector screen so that was great. Lots of different beers available and a fair few staff although service can get bogged down by many cocktail orders. Busy for a Saturday afternoon and a good buzz. The food was served very quick and was fine - decent amount for the price.
