Accueil sympathique. Très bon emplacement dans le quartier de Notting Hill. Bon cuisine traditionnelle anglaise. Excellents burgers et fish & Chips. Cidres et bières artisanaux. A recommander.

We booked a room via Booking.com but when we arrived the hotel had closed due to a water issue but we hadn't been informed by the hotel or Booking.com. We were stuck in the middle of London, 1 of us from Sussex and the other north west with nowhere to stay. Nightmare!! One of the staff, I assume the manager (matelin?) was such a credit to you. She apologised profusely, offered us lunch and a drink while we sat and found a new hotel which she gave recommendations for. We found it very difficult to be annoyed thanks to her. The food was really good. We had burrata, truffle chips and pardon Peppers. On a not so positive note, we returned the next day for breakfast. Had a full breakfast and bloody Mary. The bloody Mary: we weren't given the option of spice level & it blew our head off but also it was so smoky like smoked paprika that was so strong we couldn't drink it and the toast on the breakfast seems to have been cooked again with smoked flavoring which tainted the whole breakfast. We asked for a separate piece of toast because of this but it was the same. It was a shame. Maybe take the smoked paprika (or similar product) off the chef and barman 😂 Based on our first experience however, we would try stay here in the future.

Dined here some time ago, and when they brought us two very strong cocktails I politely asked if they can remake them to be less strong. They took ours and brought us new ones which were ok-ish, and guess what? They charged us TWICE!!!!! Why are you charging twice if you take away original cocktails? Such a rip off. I don’t recommend anyone going to this place. PS food was average and so all in all experience was very poor.

OMG what a great evening. Food was top class, and we got to try some new foods and drinks that we would not have tried otherwise. The host was great and it was nice to here about some James Bond facts that we were not aware of. staff were absolutely amazing, talkabout going above and beyond. The group of people we were with, all seemed to enjoy themselves just as much as we did. We decided to stay in The Distillery hotel which was a great idea as we went to the bar for the disco afterwards and I danced the night away. Hotel and dining experience I can highly recommend both. This is a memory we won't forget.

Worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Two of the group ordered full English breakfasts which came cold and tasted of burnt plastic?? The sausages looked like they’d come straight out of the packet and never seen a pan or oven. Everything tasted completely burnt and gave us a horrible taste in the mouth of plastic for a few hours after despite only having a few mouthfuls. No one came over to ask how the food was and when we finally asked for the food to be sent back, an elderly woman came at us with an horrendous attitude telling us the food was hot when she brought it out (lies) but that we should have told her it was cold straight away so she could fix it. Shame we hadn’t received any service between her dumping the food with us and us going out of our way to find someone. Also unsure what she could have done to eradicate the disgusting taste the food left in our mouths. Another member of the group had a fried egg that was completely raw. We had stopped here the night before for a few drinks and had been given a double gin and coke when we asked for vodka so we should have been aware of the incompetence then. Wouldn’t waste your time or money, just because it looks pretty outside doesn’t make it worth it.

Staff ignore you, wait time too long, unfriendly, cocktails are poor, and I doubt there was any alcohol in mine. Come for the free wifi and a place to rest your legs.

Great spot to sit outside in the sun watching all the hustle and bustle of portobello road. Priced according to location , but worth the cost to relax amid interesting surroundings.

Myself and Brother visited the Distillery on Sat 22nd July 2023 for a quick drink whilst in Portobello Road. I went straight off to the Ladies WC. Whilst in there I washed my hands within the actual WC area and I went to use a paper towel to dry them. As I took the paper towel out of the heavy metal casing on the wall, the holder suddenly came off the wall and folded down straight into my forehead. I realised my head was bleeding when I felt the blood running down my face. I immediately held some more paper to my head to stop the bleeding. It was really painful as the cover was very heavy. I saw a member of staff and reported it to her. She was not in the least bit interested and when I asked her for an accident book, she said she would get one but with no urgency and carried on doing what she was doing. I also said that the paper towel holder was not attached to the wall properly and the WC in question needed to be blocked off before someone else got hurt. If I had been slight taller the metal casing would have hit me either in my eye or could have broken my nose. The girl in question then went to look for a plaster to which there were none in their first aid box. Eventually another man happened to be walking past me and asked if I was ok, very casually and I think he was the manager. I told him what had happened. Again very laid back. No mention to me did I want to sit down, did I want a drink, was I ok. The other girl in the meantime had found the accident book and was looking at it like she had never seen it before. Its obvious that the staff do not get a proper induction or H&S training when they start working at the bar. I filled out the accident book and took a photo of it. My Brother also went to the mens WC and he went to wash his hands and the tap on the sick wasn't even attached and was just hanging. Once again another accident waiting to happen. My head is now very sore. I had to take Paracetomol as I then had a bad headache. This bar should not be allowed to open with such poor H&S management.

shoutout to the chef for the amazing cooking of the beef burger, really loved it however my enjoyment was ruined when i went right outside to the designated smoking area advised by security for less than 20 mins and came back to find my tabled cleared and full drinks being taken away by a staff member. We walk in as was she clearing our marked reserved table with possession there and was told that we had taken too long outside even though she had seen us outside as she was smoking as well. She also laughed whilst saying this even though our bill was unpaid and open. It did ruin the atmosphere of the night as we just wanted out replacement drinks and to pay our bill and leave. We asked security for her name and was told it was denise as we wanted to make a face to face complaint but was told she had already finished her shift.

Went here for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Me and my friends went out for a smoke and came back to see our whole table had been cleared and we didnt finish our drinks The lady told us “we was too late” and was blaming us for being outside for a certain amount of time. She even saw us outside and we havent even paid the bill yet. She was very inconsiderate and didnt really care what she done and didnt even apologise. The table even had a “reserved” sign also stating the table was in use.

Stayed 2 nights with my friend while attempting to visit Wimbledon. Great location, nice rooms and very welcoming staff. Very good drink selection and nice food. Really enjoyed staying and would do again.
