Nice wee pub with some odd cocktails and a lovely pint of guinness.

She was dirty and fantastic. Alright beer, good cocktails and loads of atmosphere. Next time in in Glasgow I would love to visit again.

Very friendly staff, good bartenders Hot dogs hit the right spots after a night of partying.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't have any . Very old school pub. Not the biggest choice of drinks but the atmosphere was fine and the service was ok.

Came in with my fiancé and was id’d (I am 32) despite the person not even looking at me (I sat at the table whilst my partner went up for drinks) says it all that the place is dead on a Saturday.

Leaving a review to say how annoyed I am on Thursday I came in for pre drinks with my partner before 50 cent and was ID’d (after my first drink not being ID’d) my ID was showed it clearly very well looked like myself I am 24 with a child and my partner, 28. Just want to say the girl behind the bar will need better glasses to see peoples form of identification, as her prescription must be out of date, though It had my old address on from a previous place as it’s my learners licence, I still corrected myself, This is funny because 1) that’s clearly me and looked exactly like me. 2) i was met in a smug way when I explained it’s my old address. 3) my partner is 28 why would someone that age be with anyone underage. I clearly didn’t look under 18. And if I was (which I am not) I was already sold alcohol. Disgusted on how we was told to leave.

Nice spot, tried the dutchess beer, it’s ok but could be replaced by a nice IPA

Called in to watch SA v Scotland in RWC23. A few great pints with family. No issues at all and enjoyed the experience. 😊

Lovely clean, cosy pub, the staff very friendly and helpful, just a wee bit expensive though.

Nice bar for a drink, and food. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to try the food. It also has tables outside if you're lucky enough to have good weather.

Stopped here with my brother-in-law before we headed to Fayre Play, a couple of Saturdays ago. In the grand scheme of things a very swift two pints, we managed to bag a seat outside, watching the streets of Finnieston get busier before a KISS gig. Rain drove us inside where the pub was traditional, but with a few modern twists. Cost wise, it was probably our most expensive round of the night, but given the West End location it was fully expected. Overall, a decent 45 minute visit on what turned out to be a great Saturday night!

Lovely wee mid day stop on our day out as a couple. Two cocktails would recommend the Peachalicious very tasty and refreshing. Music was good and service was great as well.

Do not drink in this establishment... against the Law to stand out side MUST SIT .... NOT EVEN PUT MY BEERS ON THE TABLE YET .... STAFF SERVICE IS HORRENDOUSLY POOR

Great wee find for a sunny afternoon in Glasgow. Ordered a chocolate orange espresso martini and a French martini. Both perfect. Really friendly team behind the bar. Will not be my last time here.

Stopped in to have a pint and just chill. Talked to the bartender who was very nice and gave me some tips on the city as it was my first day in Glascow. Place was laid back. Would come back here.

Stopped in here on a Friday night in February. It was very busy but still got a table. We just had a few drinks. The barman was particularly helpful when they didn't have my partners preferred rum. We didn't eat, but there were tables getting food, and it all looked very tasty. Atmosphere was lively and the bar was was cosy. Great experience

The man working on the bar when I came in here was excellent. He was happy to make recommendations for cocktails and make ones on the fly based on what we liked. The prices were reasonable as well. I do wish that the menus were easier to read in the dimly lit bar though.

Literally never encountered such rude staff. Don’t work in customer service if you hate people which all the staff clearly do, particularly the dark haired woman.

felt unwelcome when a waiter came to see me several times, evèry 5mn to see if i wanted another drink. they advertise for the 6 nations but when you get in the tv sound is turned down and you have to suffer hip hop and rap with dreadful lyrics and a waiter coming to see you all the time to rush up and finish your drink. if the music had been better, the stooges, the ramones, the bmx bandits... this would have been much more fun 😀 anyway i left at half time and spoke to the young waiter who said he was instructed to do that. i left and found the perfect place at the snaffle bit down the road where i went back later on with my family.

I persuaded my partner to try this bar as it looked charming from the outside. This impression was totally wrong. The bar staff were rude and unwelcoming. The general atmosphere was uncomfortable. I would not recommend this venue as an enjoyable night out in Glasgow.

Being tourists from Ireland Visited with my two sons at 17:00 , one is 28 and the other 20. Myself and 28 year old ordered 2 beers, 20 uear old does not drink. Barmaid asked for 20 year old id, I explained he was not drinking and he was 20. She proceeded to shout at him that she cant have persons under 18 on premises and needed id which he did not have on him, so she refused to serve us. Ignorant and arrogant young female bar staff. We enjoyed a great weekend in Glasgow but this place drags down Glasgows friendly reputation.

Terrible experience in this pub. Rude staff, poor hygiene, sub standard beverages. Absolutely not the place to go in Glasgow. Poor reflection on the city’s generally fabulous hospitality.

Me and my friend came in and asked for bespoke shots and cocktails and the barman (Craig) that served us was more than knowledgeable of his trade and gave us exactly what we asked for! He was friendly and approachable asking us about our preference on flavour pallets and providing us with outstanding results EVERYTIME!! Will defo be back! This is our new regular

Chocolate Orange Martini was soooo good! Bartenders were lovely and the atmosphere was perfect for a post dinner cocktails.

- cramped space - regular priced cocktails - some were quite tasty - not well lit bar - service was nice - we visited during a quiet time so not too noisy

£15 for three pints and they poured the guiness in a one.

Over bassy hippy music, dirty floor and very overpriced. £6 for a pint of lager (Moretti)....its cheaper in central London and at neighbouring bars!

Walking back to our hotel we stumbled across this gem, reasonably priced drink and very friendly staff, worth a visit if you are in the area!

My partner and I popped into The Dirty Duchess at 23:28 on Tuesday the 5th of May for a quick pint on the understanding that closing time was 00:00. We were informed on walking in that the bar was shut, close at 12 and last orders had been called 10 minutes previously. We were told we could go across to The Kelvingrove Cafe as she was sure they were open till 1. Given that we wanted a quick pint before midnight we were really baffled as to why we had to find somewhere that shut at 1am to do this. My partner commented that it was very early for last orders and was rudely informed “well go somewhere else then!” We went back to The Brass Monkey where we had just been and ordered another drink and last orders were called at 23:40. 1. I thought you got at least 10-15 minutes to order drinks after last orders were called. 2. The server was very rude to us. 3. Your competition welcomed us back happily with no issue while having the same closing time. 4. I have the evidence of my card transaction at The Brass Monkey happening at 23:34 in case the server claims that this happened later on. I did message on Facebook to clarify closing time/last orders/time at the bar and I was left on read.

Well maintained cellar..Guinness was bang on..

The best customer service I’ve received in a pub in a while!! So accommodating and welcoming and drinks tasted great, special shout out to the girl who hosts the open mic, absolutely incredible singer and best service by far!

After being recommended the bar by a friend 😉 I came along not knowing what to expect but I was not disappointed. The music and atmosphere was great and the staff were warm and welcoming. Especially Mo! She made my whole evening.

They've stopped serving meals, to serve pizza slices, I used to love their fish supper and specially their home made onion rings. Pity that the Dirty Dutchess lost its fantastic environment.

Bar staff incredibly rude, black hair female was unbelievably rude, pushing passed us umpteen times just looked miserable. Woeful music and vibe. Very disappointing. Clearly take their prime location for granted.

Would not recommend this place. Booked a table in advance, only to show up to find our table had been given away. Member of staff refused to move the people from the table. We then met the manager who is the rudest manager I’ve ever met. Tried to make it out it was our fault due to her and her staffs incompetence to keep a table reserved. Would not recommend this pub at all and would avoid at all costs.

Lovely cosy atmosphere and really friendly, helpful staff! Drinks are well priced and the candle light is really charming. Would have been great if they served food - they seem to only have a few nibbles available each day and had run out when we went.

Poor quality drinks and over priced. Doubt very much if I would spend another penny in here. £25 for 3 drinks my old fashioned was horrible never drank it. Went back to gey another drink only to be told i have had to much to drink amd I was not getting served. The girl behind the bar was perfectly entitled to refuse me but why serve me the first place. There are a lot better bars in the area to have a drink

Expensive pints! £5 for strongbow dark fruits in a very standard pub environment! £6 for craft. Not sure what they do to justify the price tbh. Partners cocktail was nice though

Busy, busy place. Drinks okay, difficult to get served at bar. Not particularly clean.

It's a pub. In a way, it reminds me of the student union when I was at university in the late seventies. It's a little rock and roll (although they were playing funk and hip hop). The Victorian decor has largely been retained. There are heavy, dark wood fittings and comfy booths which are little like old railway compartments. The beer selection is limited, but includes two modern IPAs (Neck Oil and Lagunitas) alongside old favourites like Guinness. It's friendly and we'll run and also serves slices of pizza. The music is quite loud and may not be everybody's taste.

Quality menu and food to match. Small pub but friendly atmosphere and dog friendly which is always a bonus. All the food was served relatively quick and good portion sizes. Would definitely return to work through the rest of the menu as I could have had any of it! I went for KFC burger and buffalo fries with my partner going for Buffalo strips and vietnamese fries (they accidentally did vietnamese strips which we were given for free).

Supposed to be a great Glasgow pub but was deserted on the Friday evening we visited. Lighting was dark and dingy, with no real atmosphere. I am sure it is great when it is busy but we perhaps just lucked out.

Visited here after a recommendation from a friend before a gig.... crackin wee pub, great live music on a Sunday afternoon/evening, good selection of drinks and incredible fries!! I had mine with haggis and whisky sauce and they were amazing! Well worthy of a visit if you're in Finnieston!

The food is okay, the staff really friendly. Definitely a plus that it is dog friendly.
