The Dinner Box in Epsom and Ewell

I don't like going anywhere else because it's always disappointing compared to Dinner Box! The Singapore Noodles certainly can't be beaten! Delicious. My order of grilled dumplings and Singapore noodles on Sunday arrived piping hot and in good time. Love em! Very happy satisfied customer!

We have been ordering from Dinner Box for a few years, we have never had a bad meal. It has always been consistently great! They don’t change their recipe so you know exactly what you are getting. Highly recommended!

Not worth the money. Ordered schezwan fried chicken and egg fried rice. Didnt look or taste as fried chicken, had to swim through the gravy to find chicken pieces! Egg fried rice was below average.

Ordered a meal from here yesterday for the first time, and quite frankly, it was awful, beyond awful! Lumpy rice, unrecognisable tasting chopsuey, a tasteless black bean dish, and the curry sauce was also bland. What an absolute waste of money! Gained 1 star as the meal was delivered hot.

Have come back to the Dinner Box after trying lots of other Chinese takeaways. I will have to say there Singapore noodles my go to Chinese takeaway 🥡 is the best by far and made the most traditional way definitely 5 stars, also had recently there Crispy shredded beef and sweet and sour chicken balls and were all excellent. This will definitely be my go to Chinese takeaway again.

If u like ur food plan and very bland no flavour with it then this is ur place to go the satay chicken was pathetic packet of fridge raiders got more meat in it than on those sticks I got chicken balls were so tiny could fit 2 in my mouth this used to b a great place for food bk in the early 2000 but just like all of them in the area going down hill definitely no value for money at this place anymore.

Taste wise the food was OK however the chicken & mushroom soup was mainly all broth it really was a case of hunt the chicken and mushrooms and the special house chow mein was mainly all vegetables! The 1.5 hour delivery on a Saturday night ( advised of delay when ordering ) was a little excessive. The really bad part was that had I not queried the total cost of the order I would have been over charged by £6 deliberate or error??

Just had a fantastic meal, the portions were well above expectations. Food, very tasty, if l had any negatives, l would request that the curry sauce, in the various dishes, that we had, a be a bit thicker, apart from that, thoroughly loved our meal, and will definitely be ordering again. This place was horrific! Orders at 6.20pm, it arrived at 8.40pm! After I called multiple times for updates and the phone-operator lying about caller the driver. When it arrived- it was flavorless and a whole lot of white gloop - not a single green vegetable or decent prawn to be seen. Have since had a tummy ache- do not eat here!

The meal was so below standard. It went straight into the bin Plus we paid £35.20

100% recommend this place! I thought that I would try somewhere different for a Chinese takeaway and I am glad that I went to The Dinner Box. The food is very tasty and the people who run it are really nice. I went back again last week and the owner remembered me and reminded me that I hadn't posted a review... which just adds to my positive view. I am going back again this evening as this is becoming my favourite place even though there are several more local to me.

Really good Chinese takeaway at least from my perspective. The fried rice is really nice and in good portions. The beef with onions is pretty amazing and the value for money is just really good

Thought we would have a change from our regular Chinese takeaway and try The Dinner Box. We weren’t disappointed, the takeaway order line was answered by a helpful friendly man. Food was hot and tasty. This will now be our regular Chinese.

We love this place! Best Chinese takeaway I’ve had. The portions are great and the chicken pieces nice and small and perfect texture. Only bad thing is we want it all the time. Great value too and such friendly service on the phone. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. I’d give more stars if I could.

Lovely food, reasonable pricing, and great service. They only do take away, but its worth the drive to pick it up. They do deliver however I would rather Dinner Box keep all the money rather than losing 50% to the deliveroo thieves.

Friday nights are takeaway night . The staff are so friendly and the food here is amazing. The portions are large . It’s reasonable priced. You can order to collect or like me have it delivered. The driver brings the food and it’s still piping hot. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This eating house is within 5 minutes walking distance of home set among a small shopping parade near longmead housing estate its perfect for me short walk straight into service counter order taken straight away 5 minute wait for meals then short walk home again hot food quick service from a very pretty lady good food I just needed to add a beer &enjoy.

We hadn't eaten a takeaway or dined out since lockdown began & one of the reasons we chose to put our health in the hands of The Dinner Box was its 5-star hygiene rating. We were delighted with our choice! Excellent service & loads of delicious food that didn't cost the earth & there's some to heat up for lunch too...

Great Chinese take away and very pleasant and helpful service

We fancied a spur of the moment Chinese yesterday, and opted for The Dinner Box again, because it is so close, and we had a very positive experience last time. So we ordered some staples, and some random stuff that sounded good. We had a table full of food, and every single dish was spot on, not a one that I didn't enjoy! New ones to us this time; Crispy Pork in Spicy Salt and Pepper - To die for! Then Szechuan Chilli King Prawns - Packed full of flavour! Can't see us moving from ordering here ever again!

Good portion sizes and tasty. The only downside is they could do with cutting back on the amount of oil they use.

The dinner box been coming here for almost over a year and always top quality food always; my partner Jon and I have formed a forever friendship with the owner who is amazing the sort of guy who puts a smile on his customers faces he’s also especially nice to us.

Very friendly proprietor - The Dinner Box is a takeaway concern , so nothing more than the service and food quality , both of which are excellent can be commented on , except the actual menu booklet which is the most informative I’ve ever happened upon 👍👍👍

Amazing food and amazing costumer service. My favourite place to order Chinese from. Fast delivery and kind hearted people. I recommend this to everyone who wishes to have an incredible dinner. My recommended meals are the aromatic crispy duck, house special chow mein, chicken balls and the Singapore fried noodles. All the workers here are very friendly.

I’ve been using Dinner Box since Feb 2019, the food is just amazing, my kids also love the food too! We usually have the Duck with pancakes and number 99! Singapore noodles with chicken pork and beef, they even make it extra spicy to suit my 11 year old sons taste :)! The man and lady running the shop and serving / managing kitchen are so friendly so I tend to pick up to see them for a chat rather than free deliver :) seriously if you love Chinese or haven’t tried it for a while give this place a try, amazing food at a amazing price too!

Used this Chinese regularly as a family for many years. Great friendly service, good quality food & value for mobet. Would recommend.

Read the allergen numbers next to the food, most of the stuff labelled vegetarian is not. Shame, as it's local and the menu sounds pretty good.

The food was delicious, I had half of the aromatic Duck and few extras very much enjoyed it. Everything was quality and will definitely order from this takeaway again. The delivery driver was very nice and pleasant. Try it for yourself.

Was staying in Epsom and the whole family fancied a takeaway, we was unsure of what to have and noticed The Dinner Box, we decided on a set meal for 3 (even though there’s five of us) we all enjoyed and had plenty of food with some left over, the biggest disappointment was that them lemon chicken sauce wasn’t strong enough...however the rest was lovely, it came quickly and was piping hot and definitely cooked fresh.

Despite being close by, I seldom use this takeaway, and tonight was a reminder why! I only wanted one item, so didn't seem worth going to my usual chinese.Finding an unattended front of shop, I called several times, to no avail. Then the phone started ringing, chap appeared from out back, said 'one moment' to me and proceeded to answer phone and take order. Eventually he got round to taking my order, then when I presented debit card he went down the whole £10 min card order, I didn't think you could discriminate between cash and card any more?So anyway, I went and got cash, then waited for item to be cooked. It was okay, edible! Not up to the standard we usually have, but quick and convenient, so it did! Probably be a while before I use again, they say time is a great healer!

I generally am not a fan of Chinese takeaways, but this one is definitely worth trying. The food is good, tastes fresh and is not too greasy. There is a good selection of dishes and fast service. They will deliver to a certain radius, but we prefer to collect ourselves. The order is usually ready in 10 minutes or less. Dishes with roast duck and/or pork are our favourites.

I’ve been going to these guys for years and their food has always been a good standard. Also friendly service. Recommended.

We were staying nearby and looking for a quick dinner so decided to try The Dinner Box. A lovely friendly welcome, quick service... and excellent food! Probably one of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever found - we went back on two other evenings! One warning: they don't accept payment by card.

Spare Ribs are amazing !!! I would call and collect in advance or get delivery as the Take-Away waiting area is not very visitor friendly. My only other criticism is that they done take cards. Food is great !!!

I have eaten here for at least 25yrs now, again had a great takeaway from here at the weekend for my family. Kids love the food here. Always recommend this place for a cheap meal that ticks all the boxes.

I used to work next door to the Dinner Box so i ate hear regularly and i have no complaints about the food very tasty not greasy at and good value to unless you get unlucky and find your meal has ice in it because they prepare and freeze everything in advance the only draw back i found the kitchen is spotless very clean and tidy i can say this as I could see straight into there kitchen from the old store room.

Discovered many years ago but only recently revisited and keep going back.
