Ok food but a ridiculously long wait for 2 toasties when there was no one in front of me. 15 minutes for 2 toasties? Really? And not good value for money either.

Post swim brunch was lush here. Such an easy place. We booked a table and there is plenty of seating both inside and out. The food was lovely and all the staff are friendly. You need to try the cakes.

I have always loved this place. I want to continue loving it but twice I've had really poor food and sadly won't be visiting again. Sad times. The bacon sandwich was grim. The bacon was fatty, undercooked and the bread on the dry side. I can still taste the 🤮 hours later. Gutted.

The nicest berry smoothie and eggs florentine. Well cooked/prepared and delicious. Cheery, friendly service. A lovely breakfast. Walled garden and park in full spring bloom too :)

Depot bakery waited 10 minutes to be served 2 people in front of me when got to till order 3 drinks to takeaway then waited 25 minutes for it to turn up. It was not that busy.staff just standing around which was most annoying. In the end 1 tea and coffee alright but not worth the wait 1 tea like cats p... Could not be bothered to complain as I might have had to wait another 25 minutes

Lovely first visit, will definitely return. Breakfast was lovely, mushrooms on sour dough toast and latte for me and my husband had scrambled eggs and streaky bacon on sourdough toast, orange juice. Excellent service, really friendly staff and super efficient and friendly.

The space itself is nice though is becoming a little grubby. The staff are friendly but disorganised. The food is nice but not outstanding and the menu has remained the same for a long time. The pastries are lovely though! The issue with this place is the service. You have to wait to be seated but have to stand with the people waiting for take out (due to space/layout) so the staff often overlook you. When you are seated, service is slow, often you receive your drinks 10 mins before or after your food. Waiting to pay is also an issue, it’s easier just to walk up to the counter as you’ll be sat there ages but this means queuing again. The current model just doesn’t work. If they moved to a QR code menu/Apple Pay approach I’m sure it would work better. Also, lots of noisy kids with even louder parents so if that’s not your thing, avoid! It feels like there was an attempt to create an edgy cafe with a chilled vibe but it’s backfired to become a slightly tired, chaotic, inefficient place that leaves you feeling frustrated. Better places on nearby Middlewood Road.

This used to be one of my favourite places to drop in with friends. Today, it was awful. It was 2.05 pm. We were told that meals with eggs were not served after 2.00 pm! We were told there was no salmon available for other dishes. ‘Told’ is the word. No marks for customer service. Will not be back.

When it first opened I praised it to all my friends, however, today I was very disappointed..first I will say my chai latte was just as good as always but the service, I wasn't satisfied with To begin with after ordering the hostess ushered us all outside after waiting about fifteen minutes I received my coffee but only after mishearing my name twice..if you are going to usher customers outside like cattle the least you can do is appoint someone to bring you your drink.Word of advice, get a sign that says "queue here" and another that says " pick up here" and don't send customers outdoors like naughty schoolchildren.

Fabulous service !! . Went for lunch in the middle of a busy working day . Toasties are so tasty and filling and the coffees too. The selection of cakes looked amazing so took one away for later . Staff excellent and attentive x

A lovely little meeting place. Even on a busy day, there is always space. We enjoyed brunch and a cake and it was lush. We will definitely be back.

Tried to go to the Hillsborough Park one recently and was absolutely appalled! Had been when they first opened and whilst expensive with tiny (glass) cups of coffee, generally, a good time was had by all. The place was modern, clean and newly kitted out whilst the staff were relatively efficient and attentive. Went back for a quick lunch and the experience was totally different. Not only was the place really dirty, even on the seats but the atmosphere felt completely off. (The mess was most likely caused by the army of squealing toddlers in muddy wellies and dogs who had clearly enjoyed some puddles, neither of which were being corralled very well and contributed to the chaotic feel.) Admittedly we were seated quite quickly however it was by a server who couldn't really be bothered, (I believe they actually huffed at one point) at a table nearest the doorway on a chilly day. (drafts galore, especially when yet more reinforcements of parents and dog walkers came in, actually holding the door open and not being sorted into takeaways or waiting for tables at all.) Our server walked past us, as did other staff looking harassed with their tablets, at least 4 times without any word or a single glance. We had to look around for menus ourselves on uncleared tables nearby. Eventually, after 25 minutes of being ignored, we decided to get up and leave. We weren't the only ones as a gentleman next to us in the corner was trying to work but due to racket and no one coming to even check if anyone wanted drinks, packed up his laptop and screen and left too. This was on a Wednesday afternoon around 1:30ish. Never going back.

Attempted to eat at the Hillsborough site today and I have never know a more unorganised cafe with ignorant staff From the moment we arrived the place seemed chaotic, with no clear queuing or seperation of take away and eat in customers We eventually got to the counter and the person serving wandered off, no mention of "excuse me for a moment" or any civilities, just wandered off. I attempted to order soup, and after hearing that someone was waiting 20 minutes for a sandwich, asked what the delay was, again she did not acknowledge the question and just wandered into the back, it seems she was checking they still had soup, never asking which one of the advertised two I wanted. Upon her return she took payment and only then did she advise it was 15 minutes, I then asked for a refund as i did not have the time to wait and pointed out if she wasnt so ignorant she may have saved us all some time. I left and will not return

Admittedly visited on a bank holiday, and place was rammed. Unacceptable delay for food. 35-40 minutes, despite reminders. My frittata was inedible. Stale and spent too many days under heater. Child's chicken goujons just this side of cremated/ an with very spicy coating. Server pleasant and apologetic, and took some money off our bill. Have previously visited and enjoyed, but will think twice before I go back

I have recently started to buy my bread from Depot bakery and it is wonderful. I remember once reading that you can improve your whole day by eating good bread. Their ciabatta and Turkish pide are my favourites. Also delicious croissants and cake.
