Crosspool Tavern in Sheffield

Así que es la primera vez que nuestra familia ha comido en el día de Navidad y decidió reservar la taberna de crosspool. Al entrar nos recibieron y nos mostraron a la mesa número 6, que estaba muy bien establecido como lo hacemos en casa cada año. Nos sirvieron bebidas y no se apresuraron y nos hicieron muy bienvenidos. El entrante era un agradable cóctel de gambas con un ligero filete de salmón , muy agradable y sabroso justo el tamaño de porción adecuado Luego fuimos por nuestro carvery que tenía 4 carnes para elegir (beef&turkey ) y posiblemente cada verdura allí es una muy buena amplia elección. He visto algunos informes negativos y levantar una ceja porque nuestra familia de 8 en nuestra opinión pensó que era excepcionalmente bueno de toda la comida al personal muy trabajador que renuncia a su Navidad para que podamos disfrutar de la nuestra. Escuchamos algunos gemidos esperando una cena fija, pero después de todo esto es un pub carvery, así que ¿qué espera la gente? Así que gracias taberna crosspool y el personal por todo el trabajo duro en el día de Navidad y espero que la generosa propina que dejamos fue compartida en consecuencia. Definitivamente consideraremos volver el próximo año.

Had amazing service by Dylan. He is a credit to Mitchell and Butlers. He is what first class customer service is all about.

Had a great time the staff who served us, Issy, Andy and lovely pizza station lad were very friendly and attentive! Would recommend!

Since my Dad died, we've been bringing my Mum here for a meal at least once a week. The food is very good, (particularly the pizzas) but it's the staff who make the place. Shout out to Louise, Izzy, George and Andy and all the others (sorry, I don't know all your names) who are all really friendly and give a fantastic service! Highly recommended.

Lo único que puedo decir es horrible. Reservamos una comida familiar de Navidad que desastre. Más de una hora de espera para las hamburguesas de los niños después de una espera de 30 minutos para la sopa. Cerdos en mantas quemados. Rellenar duro tiene rock. No se molestó con el postre porque era tan tarde. Posiblemente la experiencia que he tenido.

Had a great visit here today for a birthday meal. There was a lot of us and we couldn’t have had our needs met any better by Louise. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you, Louise!

Place has a really nice atmosphere and really helpful staff. Can’t fault the place, food is class too.

Very fine establishment, lovely place. Staff are to die for, Jonny, George, Andy, Lou and countless other great souls. Had wonderful interactions with chefs such as Richard, Ben, Kyan, Joe, Alex, Leni and sue.

11 of us went for my partners daughters birthday and Johnny, Lou and Eleasha couldn’t do enough for us , I will admit over the years the service hasn’t been the best (not these 3) but praise where praise is due absolutely fantastic.

Big up Andy, Johnny, and the kitchen staff. We came as a group of about 40 people and the service from those 2 was impeccable.

Came with many people and the waiters were very kind and helpful, Andy especially was a lot of fun :) I had the carvery and the gravy was absolutely amazing, best I've had all year. Thank you so much, I'd highly recommend :)

Took a large group here for a winter carvery and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Dylan was very helpful sorting the booking out and on the day Louise and Polly were amazingly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Attended as a group for the Sunday carvery, meat was very good, food generally good quality, plenty of space. Good selection of drinks.

Recently went for Sunday Lunch, the food was lovely, hot and came with a wide selection to choose from. A huge thank you to Louise for making our stay extra nice, always smiling and hard working and always courteous to everyone.

Very enjoyable carvery lunch. Lovely service, great food. If I had to complain then I would say that upon asking for a bit of all the meat I was given quite measly portions but it didn't ruin the meal. Thanks Andy!

Very polite and friendly people. Came here for a carvery with ladies from my rugby and I had a blast - great environment. Ordered a carvery - had two rounds & a desert for about £15 bargain & a half, loved the music too. The people working - Johnny Lennie, Louise, George, Ben, Lenny and Sue - are amazing people !

Crosspool Tavern were really great at accommodating such a large group of us with only 2 days notice! The food was amazing, and the service was amazingly quick given there are just under 45 of us. Big thanks to Louise, George and Johnny for their help tonight!

A lovely traditional pub with a lovely atmosphere. It's wheelchair accessible from the carpark which is free . Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. They serve a daily carvery and a full menu. I went for the roast and my husband had fish and chips . Both meals were expertly cooked and tasted great !

Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Carvery was amazing, the roast beef was succulent and melted in the mouth and the roasties were out of this world. We ordered coffees from the app which are no longer on the menu and they made them up for us. Why on earth they have removed floater coffee from the menu I don't understand 😕 thank you to everyone x

Vine por Carvery, ojalá no nos hubiéramos molestado. Carvery parecía que había estado sentado allí durante una hora. Pudín de yorkshire duro como roca, Luke calienta verduras, casi frío. Tuve que pedir relleno fresco y patatas asadas, relleno todavía duro y poco atractivo. Las patatas asadas sabían horrible. No es de extrañar que el lugar está prácticamente vacío.

We had a great experience at Crosspool Tavern. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and all the staff, in particular Andy was very friendly and helpful. We will certainly visit here again.

Louise was so lovely. We had a brill time. We had a carvery deserts and they were fantastic.

Shocking Service Even Shocking Carvery. Will not return. They now apparently weigh the meat in front of you with weighing scales. However the sever didn't today and did guess work. Tiny slices of meat. Was late starting the carvery. Not all meats out ready no spoons etc. No wonder there's hardly any one in. Please don't reply to this review with a generic acknowledgement

Appalling service, we went today for a birthday meal, two people's starter then meal in our party arrived 10 minutes after ordering others came in dribs and drabs, the final two meals were brought out 1 hour, 25 minutes after ordering. The first two had eaten their starters and mains before anyone else's starters had arrived. There was hardly any veg on my vegan pizza. Disgusting, no apology, no explanation, nothing! Then the wrong side was brought with the final meal, staff denied it till they were shown proof. Plus the car park was pitch black when we left, no lighting at all. My 90 year old parents had to be guided through the car park. We'll never go again.

¡Absolutamente horrible! 14 de nosotros reservado para un cumpleaños. Dos personas fueron llevadas a sus arrancadores y luego a la red antes de que alguien más hubiera traído sus arrancadores. Tuvimos nuestras comidas traídas gotas y drabs. Mi nieta y su papá se quedaron esperando una hora y media para que llegaran sus comidas, sus champiñones de pollo estaban duros, a mi hijo le trajeron la guarnición equivocada que el personal dijo que era la correcta, fue solo cuando se mostró la prueba en el recibo que dijeron que era su error, pero no ofrecieron cambiarlo solo las £ 2 diferencia! Para colmo, el aparcamiento estaba oscuro cuando nos fuimos y mis padres de 90 años tuvieron que ser guiados fuera, ya que tenían miedo de tropezar.

Popped in for an after school meal. Really impressed with the pizzas. Great variety. Customer service was spot on. Really happy and will definitely be back again soon. Especially as it's feeling like carvery season!

I was invited by friends for a meal on Sunday pm. The place seemed ok. My chair was a little past it's best but there was plenty of space. I visited the toilet and was shocked by the state of the door. The patch around the handle was filthy. The door needs a damn-good clean and preferably, painting. There was a TV right above where I was sitting and we ended-up watching the last minutes of the game. It was distracting but it must be difficult to find a balance. Do people need the sport on while they are eating? Now for the food; none of us eat meat and one is a vegan so no yorkshires for her! We were only offered one each. I had to ask for a second. The sausages looked lovely but there was no veggie 'meat' alternative available, so I ended-up with a plate of vegetables. The roast potatoes and carrots were good, but choice was limited. I wouldn't return because of the lack of veggie options and the limited vegetables on offer.

Came to eat here today for a carvery. I rang up and spoke to a lady called Louise, I explained I had celiac disease and can’t eat gluten. She went above and beyond to make sure my food wasn’t cross contaminated and to ensure all precautions were taken to avoid gluten allergy. Brilliant service

After placing an order through just eat and helping the delivery driver in his directions and meeting him on the street to receive my order, I was then refused to be given my order because I couldn't confirm my identity.. 15 minutes later the driver knocked on my door saying identity conformation is not required.. contacted crosspool tavern who refused to help and said " Sorry mate' you didn't receive your order and we are not giving you a refund.. Pompous Shambles! In response to the crosspool tavern (owner) if you are not sure what happened with my order then please read the above review again, I have tried to contact yourselves politely for a resolution only to be treat with contempt and if you have any etiquette I would be grateful if you reached out to me..
