Just want to say a massive thank you to chef mark and waitress Helen who made us very welcome and brought carrot for our guide dog pup and our food was lovely too

Great food and atmosphere. Staff are very knowledgeable about food allergies and the allergen menus.

Good restaurant selling a wide range of excellent food. Also a carvery is available from around lunch time. Plenty of car parking.

Lovely carvery, but the Yorkshire puddings were light and huge. Usually not a fan of beef but it was perfection today. Crispy fluffy roasties! Bit of a sad note with the apple crumble very tart apple and the crumble topping was too fluffy and just not nice at all. Shame really.

Went with a group of friends for a regular get-together, and this occasion we had a Christmas meal! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were genuinely nice :)

Nice place. Some of the staff could do with Cheering up. More needs adding to the indoor under 5 bit and it needs a clean in that part.

Really good carvery meal. Nice atmosphere. Nice staff. We were a group booking and seated on several tables in one area. A lot of kids running about when we first arrived, but it calmed down quickly as they were taken home to bed....

This is an update. The image shows just part of the queue, on a Wednesday evening. This is not people stood at the bar, the queue goes from left to right with one, maybe two sometime serving. there's just not enough people serving! **original Review has been edited based on the reply** Do you not think I know who is legally eligible to serve alcohol? In my original review I said I'd worked at pubs. I know the rules. What I don't know is why you as a company is trying to excuse the poor service without accepting that there is a reasonable complaint. What I do expect is for all available (and yes, age appropriate hands) to the pump when things are busy. I dismay.... Food was very good. But the service was woeful. Huge queue and staff just wandering around not serving people. Not actually doing anything as far as I could tell. When I worked at pubs it was all hands to the pumps to clear the queues. Here they just seem to look at the queue of customers and wonder why it is there. The food is good though, that is important. Just don't expect to get a drink easily

Went for Dinner and had a Carvery,I have to say it was nice.Very Polite staff and helpful.

I have been going here for almost 8 years but have never felt so ignored. The man at the bar/tills was extremely rude for no reason. I asked for no ice in my soda but he said it can't be served without ice. My simple request for an empty glass to put away the ice (which I was going to do myself) was met with a cold look and a meaningless mumble and then I was left on my own as he walked away. I had to again ask another staff who was standing next to him who happily served. This man needs another job. He is not happy at Elmwood Farm, Beighton. Customers expect good ambience when they go out to dine, particularly during the festive season. This man's sulk and lacklustre behaviour spoilt my special evening!!

the food was freezing the only veg was peas and carrots. what a disgrace. I have ate at elmwood loads but after this I won't again. even the gravy was congealed and thick and awful.

We had a waitress at our table called Katie Jane she was very attentive helpful and poly. Nothing too much trouble. She definitely deserved a mention.

Don't normally have complaints. But today the food was cold, lumpy gravy, rock hard carrots and I ordered 2 meats, only got one..

Went to Elmwood Farm for a festive meal with two friends today. We decided to arrive an hour earlier than our booked slot and our server, Jade, was more than happy to accommodate us. Our table was already decorated for our Xmas feast! Jade was polite, funny, reliable and checked in on us frequently. She made us aware that there would be another larger party needing our table within a couple of hours after we arrived and said she would do her best to find us another area to sit. Well, behind the scenes Jade had done her very best and rearranged the seating so that we could stay in our seats for a few more hours!!! Much appreciated!! The food, as always, was delicious, well presented, very hot and a generous potion. Jade was a brilliant server and made us laugh lots! A definite asset to the team!

Absolutely fantastic food and service! Small under 5s indoor play area. Claw / machine area for kids. Great value/ food range on kids menu. The carvery was fantastic. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Fast service and quality for money.

Came as part of a party night, food was lovely but the best part of the evening was our server Jade. Very friendly and attentive.

All meals came at different times for our table and after choosing peppercorn sauce for my elderly mother , her meal came with the sauce all over her chicken , there was far too much on ,it should be in a small jug for customers to decide how much they want on , very unappetizing, very dry chicken but all in all rest of meals were fine

Normally, we go at least twice a month, but our last visit, everything was cold the toast snapped the sausages didn't seem cooked properly really disappointing as the food is normally top notch

Ordered fish and chips plus mushy peas which I always enjoy from there,but got a roast dinner plus a chicken burger with chips,chicken wings and a fudge cake slice!..I’m not moaning but when delivery driver dropped it off and I gave him numbers he asked for coz the bag felt heavy he said it was definitely mine!..so I opened it and found the food I mentioned at the beginning.

I specifically ordered my carvery for 1pm on Thursday 21st nov at around 11 ish so plenty of time it arrived 30 mins late it was cold and sone items were black extremely disappointed

Booked in advance for 17 of us for breakfast, food was good , staff were helpful and freindly. Would go again when in the area.

Only gets 1 star as no option to give 0. All 3 carvery meals were stone cold. I don’t just mean not very hot I mean absolutely cold and all food was of poor quality, meat was full of fat roast potatoes rock hard outside then dry inside. My veg was so cold it was like just out of breath fridge. In my opinion those carvery’s were pre-made and just waiting to see which meat you want on. Even the gravy was so cold it had gone fatty and skinned on the top.

Food was cold by time it arrived. Not a lot of gravy as it comes in a small pot. No option to add veg you want so you get all the veg. Good size portion for the carvery and plenty of meet.

Menu has changed since last time I went, so had a carvery as I didn't fancy anything on the menu missing the smothered chicken. The carvery was ok not the best though, meat was ok, veg was abit bland no peas and burnt my had taking a lid of to get some Gravy. Mint sauce was bland didn't taste very minty. However the biscoff sundae was beautiful.

We normally come here as it's just round the corner from us and has a play area for grand kids but the food and service has been getting worse and worse, the food was over cooked I had the all day breakfast and the bacon looked like it had been sat there for a week, tried to order a martini and lemonade at bar was told they only serve doubles as the till doesn't let you do a single, you can order single on app but not with lemonade,in general the service is terrible, won't be returning

Had a lovely visit today at Elmwood farm, the staff were so friendly, especially Laura who took the time to answer all our questions as we ordered, also thank you for recommending the Toffee Fudge it was delicious. We will definitely be back soon. Cole was extremely helpful also and had a great cheeky personality that made our night.

Arrived cold and the meat portion was very poor on all the meals. Disappointed really but after reheating and sharing out what meat there was we enjoyed it. The food from here is generally good.

Lacks authenticity. Chain eatery type "pub" offering unhealthy (mostly frozen and fried) food and guttenous dessert options, bog standard beer selection with an atmosphere that reminds me of a retirement home. Outside seating is one redeeming feature, although views of a busy roundabout limit it's potential. Okay for a drink on a summers day, especially if you have kids; otherwise there are lots of authentic pubs in the area that deserve a look-in.

Took out parents for Sunday dinner. Dinner was lovely carvery was very nice meats were nice. Bar service is something to look at it's very unorganized and takes ages to get a drink a couple more hands would help I've heard it's like it every weekend.

Still our favourite carvery in the Sheffield area. Great place for a family meet-up. Fab carvery, as well as lots of other menu options. Superb choice of ice cream, desserts and cake. It's also one of the more affordable options, compared with other places we have been to. Best to book in advance at busy times such as Saturday and Sunday afternoons, or you may need to wait for a free table.

I had the carvery which was lovely. Only deducted one star due to the cream on the cakes, which is very sickly. My aunty had the cheese cake, which was made with the same cream and she threw it in the bin. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Popped in for a very quick carvery but despite our short stay (around 25 mins) ewans service was great. Very attentive and polite young man. Carvery was good and hot as usual.

The staff are extremely rude and poor customer service skills. The food was terrible. Poor service, avoid. In reply to your comment, thanks for reaching out to me. Your staff are just very poor and rude. I advise you look at your training policy and put them through a re-train and then if they don’t improve, sack them.

Carvery today. Very good gammon and turkey. Wide choice of Vegetables, all very good. Beef looked perfect but was too tough to eat

False advertising- breakfasts were supposed to come with Yorkshire pudding, but none came at all. No mushrooms on one of breakfasts as advertised. Bacon was burnt and hard, eggs were green. They were all cold. Utter rubbish.

Our party of 5 were well informed that there was a 30 mins wait for orders off the menu. Which i was happy to be informed. So we all chose the carvery, which was superb.

the meal was absolutely shocking!!the chips were rock had and didn't have one bit of potato in them,and the burger was like something you get off a Carboot, to say your a well respected establishment I expected better,shocking

We had the Sunday carvery, it was excellent, brilliant value for money. The place is nice inside, staff are friendly. I only have one thing to moan about and it is in by no means the establishments' fault, but it was really busy and really loud, so conversation is a bit of a struggle and it gets really.uncomfortably warm inside at busy times. Other than that, I will be going again.

Food had mixed grill the chicken breast was as small as a chicken nugget and the gammon was not much bigger steak seen bigger burgers from birds eye asked waitress if there was a shortage on chips as the cheaper of the 2 meals had twice the amount onion rings soggy for like 17 quid plus was really rubbish oh the sausage was the worst dry and taste like stuffing think they put a veggie one on my plate normally have a carvery will stick to that in the future but that went downhill a bit when no cheesy mash

Called in with family ( 6 off us ) for a carvery , i had beef with every thing . Very nice and enjoyed the meal . Staff checked 3 times to see everything was ok . And all was good . Will call again. Was to full to try a sweet but cakes looked nice

Went for the carvery and cake for a tenner. We've been quite a few times here and never had a bad experience. Today was exceptional. The carvery was superb and the staff were excellent, especially Robby and the guy doing the carvery. A credit to how a dining experience should be. Elmwood Farm , you should be proud of yourselves.

Not the best experience I've ever had. Visited for a family meetup with 10 of us and felt the portions were small despite the prices. 2 members of the party had carvery and this would have been the better option as they had plenty. The rest of chose from the menu and the food was a bit lack lustre at best. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I can't fault the service. For a Friday night it was very quiet post 8pm and we felt like the staff were waiting for us to go to lock up. I wouldn't visit again

After 40 minutes we had to check where our food was, it was then brought over and we were told ‘it was forgotten about and has been left on the side’. The food was warmish and pretty disgusting, no offer to cook us any fresh. Food was taken back to the a waitress where I was told ‘that’s nothing to do with, take it up with him’ (the chef) 😂 who then asked ‘is it cold? I can warm it up for you’.

Myself, my mum and newborn had breakfast here, Ami couldn’t do enough for us. Very polite and caring service ☺️.
