We had a great experience tonight mainly thanks to the hostess jade, she was extremely helpful and attentive specially when one of the boys smashed a glass of coke. She ensured he wasn't hurt and calmed him down as he was a bit emotional. She even went on to get him a fresh drink and treat, have a talk and giggle with him Thank jade for going the extra mile

What a fantastic evening we have had today. We came for a anniversary meal and the food was fantastic hot and ready to tuck in with no complaints, we had a check back not long in till our meal and can't fault it, service was great and we was very welcomed by a team member. Her attuide and promtniss to the job was fantastic so Well done Jade. Keep up your good work for the company and can see you going far in life. Thanks again.

The worst carvery I've ever had, I ordered the standard and got a kiddies sized portion of meat, I was totally shocked at having three tiny thin pieces of beef put on my plate, it wasn't busy but the veg was cold, the cauliflower was sloppy and the gravy was tasteless, one of our party ordered from the menu and even though we waited a good 15 minutes before fetching our carvery, we had finished our meals (well what we could eat anyway) before hers arrived, had the same long wait for desserts too. The staff were nice but I think paying a Saturday premium for the tiny portion of meat was bang out of order. Ps, going to give it another go tonight with family as they have been since and said it was ok and I'm going to hopefully be able to give a better review this time

Nothing exceptional, queuing for your order can be quite annoying. Amount of meats given varies widely

Great place. We go here a lot. The carvery is the best around here, even further afield it might be matched but not beaten. The set meals are a bit hit and miss though. Other than that I recommend it.

My experience of carvery always excellent me and my sister went today it was early the greens was tough and roast potatoes was.But this was rectify straight away and we was ask do we want a refund we said no because it was sorted and we haven't had no issues before. Robbie the waitress was so very helpful I wanted to thank her and also it was my birthday tomorrow and wr got a piece of cake for myself and my sister no cosy to my sister who treat me for my birthday thanks so much Robbie 😊

The.food was very nice apart from I had the carvery and the only meat left was gammon which I didn't expect mid week

Travelled down from Durham and stopped off for our breakfasts. Well satisfied. Unbelievable low price. Definitely will be doing it again. 100%. Cost us about £60 for eight of us. Great buffet.

Nice place to go for food. Reasonable prices, especially the carvery as the meat and veg are always well cooked.

Not the best but not the worst, very salty bacon ! And they took 25 mins to bring out two poached eggs, when we pointed out to the server that it was a long time, the response was " it's busy ! " Not a great response at all. And as all other Greene King pubs I have been in, when you order off the App it seems to take longer than going up to the bar ! Not one to repeat visit for me.

7 of us had the carvery. Food was good service was slightly slow for both food and separated drinks order. However, end of the meal I waited at the bar to get cake away. Stood customer left of ice cream case. From what I could see there were 2 staff behind the bar "serving" and 2 further staff crouching by the cupboard behind the ice cream case. One customer was being served prior to me, so I stood and waited then a man and 2 small children came in and stood further down the bar and were served immediately - just getting blue ice cream. They left and another young girl followed by a young boy came in and again were served immediately (both getting drinks). They were followed by a family who again were served immediately. I tried getting the staffs attention but appeared to be ignored, as my family were waiting in the car park I had to leave at this time. As I left I approached a member of staff who was sat next to the door way and explained what had gone on. She tried to justify by saying maybe the staff were not serving at that till, but that doesn't excuse being ignored and also the fact that pudding/ice cream orders were being taken at the other tills!!

Food was cold on delivery, refunded partial payment but refunded to just eat account not my bank, a choice would have been nice. No way near enough gravy for carvery given so large part of meal dry. Roast potatoes like rocks, we couldn’t cut into them. Mostly parsnips and peas given for veg

Disgusting. Food was vile, didn't send Yorkshire puddings and pigs & blankets. Not even half a tub full of gravy wasn't even enough to cover food. Will not be ordering again. Over £20 on disgusting food with missing items im not happy. I've ordered from here twice before and it was really nice. So was hoping again today but it looked like something taken out of a bin just slotted everywhere. Don't recommend there carverys.

Paid for two meals and received one the food we did receive was not nice at all. I also paid for extra Yorkshire pudding with pigs and blanket but didn’t receive the Yorkshire or pigs in blankets that’s suppose to come with the meal in first place and hardly any gravy that would cover the meal. Never ordering from this place again what a waste of money

Disappointed today. No gravy! No cranberry sauce I asked for. I said no Yorkshire pudding but one was included. What is the point of notes if no one reads them? I did enjoy my meal but it would have been better with gravy.

Had the carvery,vegetables were spot on had turkey and beef , couldn't cut the beef it was tough so I took it back and had some more turkey.

Nice English food n beer. Staff is good. Carvery size "small" is too small on meat aspect so order medium minimum. Some seats leather need to be changed.

i came to elmwood on Friday and got the carvery. The potatos were soft abd crispy. Katie Jayne was lovely and friendly. she showed me to a table and made sure i was aware of how to order. she made my exsperience amazing 10/10 would go again.

Was very busy when we arrived on a Sunday evening. Parking easy though. But got seated straightaway. Ordered from the app and even though it was very very hectic, drinks and meals arrived within 10 minutes. Drinks about 5 minutes. Staff very attentive. Was asked twice in 30 mins if the food was okay. In our opinion, the best food in the area. Very enjoyable indeed. If you haven't been, don't hesitate. Another visit this evening - June 2024. Ordered at the bar this time. Only had to wait 2 minutes. 2 carveries and a cheeseburger! Carveries served straightaway and only had to wait 5 mins for our son's cheeseburger. Superb.

Went out for lunch after just coming back from holiday & no food in. Me & hubby had regular carvery which was delicious. Mother had weekly set meal of gammon & eggs with apple crumble. Eggs cooked to perfection certainly better than our last visit. Worth going back. Well done.

I was extremely disappointed with the Sunday carvery delivery. They forgot to include the meat entirely, leaving me with a mound of lumpy mash, stuffing, just two roast potatoes, carrots as hard as bullets, and peas. To top it off, there was no cauliflower cheese as expected. When I called to complain, they essentially accused me of lying, insisting that the person who plated it claimed to have included the meat. It seems like they need better oversight and training for their staff. Unfortunately, the meal ended up in the bin, and I'm still awaiting a refund.

Fancy ordering a carvery with 2 meats and getting no meat one unhappy customer

Ordered our food using the app, be advised O2 signal is very weak. Food was adequate, however having ordered a starter I expect that to be served before the mains, NOT at the same time. Saturday evening, they need more bar staff, queues of more than 2 or 3 isn't acceptable, given how long food orders can take.

1st time I have been, it was really nice service not so good at first but did improve. Would go again.

Had a fantastic Sunday carvery, we booked but didn't mention we had a pram, even though it was fathers day and extremely busy the lady that dealt with us went beyond to seat us somewhere with room for our pram, food was hot and plentiful, would highly reccomend the deserts, large portions, will be visiting again next time we are in Sheffield.

Roast dinner here isn't brilliant. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings chewy. Beer served cloudy. Roast dinner tasted like a Sainsbury's ready meal. Carvery not recommended.

I am severely disappointed by the lack of entertainment. What sort of tavern has ale and no jugglers. But the room was a nice temperature, 5 stars.

Been here many times, staff are great, always the highlight of the visit when we go, very friendly and talkative. Food is good, 4/5 for the food generally speaking. Feel like the drinks are a bit expensive but the carvery's are priced well so balances out. Would recommend, we keep going back anyway!

Friendly staff, very welcoming, whenever we have had a problem it's always been rectified straight away. This is our local pub & whenever we want food we always come here. Kid friendly also.

Lovely pub, close to Gullivers Kingdom, food excellent and staff very friendly. I had never seen cake stand/ice cream stand in the middle of a pub before, the cake was lovely which is made in house.

Disappointed with Kid's carvery. Piece of beef was the end cut. It was very dry and tough, plus it had a very long large bit of fat/gristle. Not very child friendly to eat!

Like the others in the chain, this is reliably decent food but nothing special. Table serviced can be a little slow.

Busy Saturday, ordered off menu not carvery. Food came promptly, well presented, cooked well and lovely to eat. Went on another Saturday, some had carvery some off menu, all absolutely excellent. Been in Half term, service and food still great.

Very limited choice of vegetables on the carvery. Friend's steak rather tough and coleslaw almost inedible. But carvery meat nice and tender . Because of below standard meal(my friend) was offered a cake to takeaway free of charge,by way of apology,which was gratefully accepted My friend used the the disabled toilet and very impressed with the top standard of facilities and cleanliness

Spent £30 of 2 standerd carvey and one child the food was absolutely disgusting even are 1 year old won’t eat the food staff working the carvery no where to be seen waited at least 5 minutes to be served then get that food mash potatoes lumpy the turkey wasn’t cooked right and the stuffing was just a gut soggy mush absolute waste off money left most off the plate will not be coming back

Came in last night and the atmosphere was very friendly but busy. The service was great had a young bartender Cole he said his name was. Was funny and lively and helped me pick my meals!

Came 12/5/24. Staff were very helpful. The lady on the bar was really nice. The meal was ok. The meat however was not. My hubby had gammon which was very very salty the beef was so tough the knife wouldn't cut it. There was 5 of us and apart from my grandson who had burger and said it was very good we all left the meat. Didnt make a fuss as the place was heaving but we were disappointed and not too happy. Sorry

Ordered carvery a few times before- was lovely. Today veg over cooked and ignored requests for food to exclude. Burger and onion rings were very greasy. Chips were only just on the right side of cooked. Disappointing I’m sorry to have to say☹️

Popped in on a quiet Monday afternoon. Plenty of space to park, plenty of space to sit. No need to book a table. The place is set up like most generic chain pubs so nothing special but it's clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. Ordered a carvery. Loads of choice of vegetables, with gammon, turkey and beef on offer. All superb. Will be visiting again.

The driver did not knock loud enough to be heard. He left the food on the step without letting us know it was there. My daughter had kept an update of the delivery, otherwise we wouldn’t have known it was even delivered. SHAMEFUL!!
