Good portions with good selection of vegetables. The meat was cooked just right. Brilliant for either a full meal or small snacks (it has really nice cake).

Highly recommend this cafe. Tucked away off the main road and with plenty of parking. Very clean. Good menu fairly priced. Staying in Holmes Chapel with friends and this is the best venue we have come across for late breakfast/brunch.

Excellent service and food! It’s the quintessential small town diner. All day breakfast, sandwiches, soups, and deserts! We are American, and passing through town on vacation. Definitely recommend visiting if you want affordable, simple, and healthy food! 😁

Menu is varied and good choice. Quality is cheap and poor. Ordered a sandwich from the ‘specials’ board which was said to come with speciality bread - nothing special about a bog standard slice of whole meal bread that you can get from the supermarket for 60p. Coffee sizes don’t reflect the prices compared to other places nearby. Bit of a shame really. Will visit other places over here that have much higher standards and quality.

Such a shame about this place. Looks the part and I'm all for supporting small independent businesses but four pounds for a takeaway flat white is just taking the p*#@

Father’s Day. Ordered four drinks, four cakes. One coffee ordered with almond milk. Three drinks came, spilt on the way. No almond milk, would oatmeal be ok - yes. Waitress went to get napkins for us to mop up. Coffees almost finished by the time cakes arrived. Had to then wait for waitress to go get forks. Then cakes almost finished by the time fourth drink arrived, which was split/separated. Looked disgusting. Waitress suggested that was the almond milk. (Wrong strategy - my son who was with us and had placed this order is a trained barista.) Sent it back, asked for it to be taken off the bill and given the overall lack of coordination, poor waitressing and poor service - we won’t be returning.

The quality and presentation was outstanding. We had a small group of family arriving on Bank Holiday Monday for a house warming. The staff also did a Gluten free tray for my neice who commented on the quality. She had been to a posh hotel for afternoon tea and said it was not a patch on this one. Thank you for your high standard and for making the afternoon stress free and delightful. Definitely will use them again Angela and Stuart Morris

Gorgeous place - the interior and decor are super cosy and classy. The food is amazing! I had the vegetarian full English, which was a hearty portion and totally delicious! The selection of cakes is brilliant too. The menu - including the drinks section - is extensive and really diverse; definitely something for everyone. We received great service, and everything arrived in good time. The whole establishment felt very Covid safe, with all staff wearing masks, asking us to check in with Track & Trace, and all tables spaced out. We will definitely be back!

Visited for a latte and something nice during my lunch break since the EOTHO scheme was on. Very friendly service and very cheap. My latte was £2.40 (£1.20 with the discount!) They have a good choice of savoury food and some home made cakes and slices. All in all Holmes Chapel is lucky to have this nice independent cafe and you should drop in if you have the chance.

I’ve lived in Holmes Chapel for 23 years & not sure why I’ve never tried this place before but now that I have I’ll definitely be back.It has a good selection of the usual cafe fayre including sandwiches, jacket potatoes, toasties etc including a few blackboard specials. The drinks menu is also ample & the cakes on offer look tempting.I tried the tuna & cheese melt toastie served with a side salad & coleslaw. It was really tasty. The location is also perfect, right in the centre of the village.

Pleasant cafe and deli in the centre of Holmes Chapel. Soups and sandwiches all very good, service friendly and helpful, and reasonably priced. Lunch meals menu and cake selection looked good. Not sure that having the radio playing (quietly) adds anything though.

Delicious brunch - the bread they use for their toast just melts in your mouth. Lovely sunny aspect, chilled background music and really great service.

We held a joint 60/80 party here and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are brilliant and extremely helpful from all correspondence to the night. We had about 30 ppl for a small do and they were brilliant letting us come earlier even though half of our party did end up staying to the late! The food was exceptional the steak ale pie was devine and had our guests talking about it for weeks after! Compliments to the chef! Lovely party area, when decorated with balloons and banners it was a really good atmosphere, the bar were happy to play music on Spotify all night. Really spacious and just a really lovely evening. Great hospitality. Deffo worth considering for a function.

Attended here with friends for an evening meal as part of a group of 11 and the service by Niall was outstanding. We had the evening meal and breakfast package from the premier inn next door and very good value for money!

We used to live in Weaverham and often walked to the Riverside for a drink or food. They used to do 2 main courses for £10 which was good values for money. I know those days are now gone but after our recent visit I don’t think we will be returning. We booked a table for Sunday lunch for 4 people. We ordered drinks which came promptly and then ordered our food. We only ordered 4 mains, fish and chips, sea bass and 2 x steak and ale pies. We waited over an hour for our food, others who arrived after us received their food so we asked how long ours was going to take and were told they were just plating up. 10 minutes later we finally received our food. The fish and chips did look lovely and was a healthy portion size, the pies were well filled but mash potato was a bit on the small side. The main issue was the sea bass. There were 2 small fillets with a few crushed potatoes underneath, a spoonful of frozen peas, 2 green beans and 5 mange tout. Now for £17.95 I expected more. I’m not a big eater or a quick eater but I finished my meal first, and I knew I wouldn’t be full for long. How much do vegetables cost? Surely some carrots and tender stem broccoli wouldn’t break the budget? I did mention this and I was not charged for my alcohol free G&T, but I couldn’t wait to get home and have something to eat, disappointing.

Visited the Wilbrahams on my lunch break. I found everyone to be incredibly welcoming and friendly. There was a wide range of options on the food menu, I went with the grilled cheese sandwich and was not disappointed! Generous portions, great value for money and friendly staff.
