A spontaneous visit as we were in the area, but I’m glad we stumbled upon this cafe, a lovely place, friendly staff and a fab breakfast. I had the garden breakfast which was delicious, friends had the full english which they enjoyed. If you are in the area it is very much recommended. Dog friendly too. Great for walkers.

A smallish slice of sourdough, some tomato, a few prawns and pesto with a straggle of pea shoot. Were there edible flowers - can't remember, but this was £14 and the ordinary tea was hugely expensive. Go somewhere else, almost anywhere else!

We were recommended The Deer Park by family we had been visiting and we are so pleased we were. We sat outside only a lovely morning. The staff were very friendly and we didn't feel like they missed us by us being outside which can happen. The service was quick but not rushed and our order came in a good amount of time. The coffee was really nice and the breakfast very tasty. It was not greasy and obviously good quality. It was nice to be able to pick how we wanted the egg cooked. This rounded off our night away very nicely. If we are in the area again we would definitely have a repeat visit.

Quickly became a habit coming to see this awesome team, as expected from their history of hospitality they have created a place with great food, epic coffee and the best brunch around. Charmingly renovated in a gorgeous setting, this cafe really has been brought back to life by its new owners. Brunch today was cooked beautifully, celery using quality ingredients, and was served by a super-helpful team. This isn’t my first visit since Deer Park Cafe opened again and, happily, each visit has been consistently good. Just lovely.

I really wanted to like this cafe - lovely location nice and spacious and seems to be run by nice people. But they were busy and have more tables than they can manage. The menu is limited - especially for vegetarian or vegan options - check the detail before you order the 'vegan full breakfast' because its not a full breakfast.

Im not one to normally write a review, but having seen some recent comments and from experiencing and eating atThe Deer Park under each ownership i still love it! It does feel different in appearance, but in a good way, it's clean and fresh, the service can be a little slow but every time I have been it's been really busy. On my last visit I had the Fishmonger sandwich and my friend had the BLT and these were both served with the most delicious chips and made on the fabulous bread from Groombridge Bakery - if you know, you know! The Breakfast is also great!

We’ve always enjoyed visiting Deer Park over the years, this week we arrived just before midday and sad to find only the Lunch menu available which is quite restricted. Unable to have choice of sandwiches, only two on menu, Early days for this new management please can we have a more varied menu with exciting savouries available. Look toward to visiting again ensuring we’re there before 11.30 as this menu is much better.

Gorgeous cafe with stunning views and lovely staff. We watched the deer roaming in the field behind us over lunch. A cosy wood-burning stove kept the chill off during my winter afternoon visit. Fantastic menu with vegetarian and vegan options with delicious homemade huge sandwiches and hot food available as well as a range of cakes. Organic eggs for sale too. The Deer Park Cafe is only a few minutes drive from Tunbridge Wells, hidden in the countryside. We stopped in for breakfast, both having cooked breakfasts for less than £10. You can taste the quality meat in the sausage and bacon, no cheap supermarket versions here! The tea is served in proper tea pots and the cake selection looks yummy. Another nice touch; we asked the staff if they knew of any walks through the deer park and they gave us printed instructions for a short one hour loop, starting and ending at the cafe. We even saw groups of deer as we walked!

Very pleased with this little gem. Although entering the cafe, you are greeted by an amazing array of cakes etc, but I did not fancy any as most of the cakes were uncovered. A clear glass dome over them would certainly be hygenic and keep them moist. Visited at 1pm on a Sunday. We were greated by waitress and her dog (is this allowed in a café). We were given the weekend menu - sandwiches and breakfast and told that due to a missed delivery they only had 3 slices of bread so only 1 of our party of 3 could actually have a meal. Not sure why they didn't just go and get a loaf from the nearest shop. Other 2 of the party choose a cheese scone (chewy probably from the day before ) and the other had a teacake that was stale and toasted. Needless to say we won't be going back.

A really nice spot and been here a few times for afternoon tea having discovered absolutely the best cheese scones I've ever had, anywhere. Came just once for breakfast on a Sunday recently, a borderline experience sadly - as it happens I only had a tea, my wife had scrambled egg the consistency and shape of a cow pat with greasy mushrooms, and my 6 year old grandson had, amongst other things, a very grey totally unappetising looking sausage. I checked and it was cooked (microwaved??), and being 6 and knowing no better he ate it happily enough, but I would have left it. Also, note to the guy who served us, a degree of scruffiness is fine, but you really do need to wash your jeans......Mixed bag, shame, but I'll go back for the scones.

There is a relaxed and warm welcome to this place. Food is limited but fresh. Mainly I loved the location and the fact it felt like home from home. With a few more healthy options this place is becoming a little gem.

The place is so Quaint and the food is delicious. I just wish servers would listen to what the customers say I had water with lime in it and I already had it mixed in the line was squeeze to perfection and the server came back by and I and he asked me if I wanted more water and I said yes, for halfway to the top of this ice.Keep gave me a full glass of water, or nearly. It would not be a big deal, but the fact is, I explicitly asked for him to fill it halfway again. These servers, these days, they're just giving you what they want to have, they're not understanding in our paying attention, but they want to get a great tip fortunate for them. We tip well my boyfriend and I. But I am really getting aggravated with this. So overall, the meal was fine. It's just at these people do not listen.

Really disappointed. Arrived at 4ish on a Tuesday in half term with our 15 and 11 year old to a completely empty pub, just one patron sat at the bar. Really lovely cosy large area next to the fire that was empty but immediately told by bar staff we couldn't sit there with children due to licensing rules! We were allowed to sit in the drafty back lobby by the gents loos - not so great. Weird atmosphere, we clearly weren't welcome, shame as we'd planned a few rounds and dinner but we headed back to our local accommodation instead. Looked like a really quaint pub just wish we'd realised it wasn't somewhere for families.

This is my favorite tea shop. I love the rose cake and the scones are my favorite. They are so delicious. I want to go there every day. I am happy every time I visit here with my husband and my dog. The atmosphere is comfortable and the cake is delicious. The taste of the tea is good.

We had a meal here on Saturday as they were advertising a new menu. I had the salmon and my husband had the stuffed pork chop. Both dishes were so so lovely. The flavours were so fresh and the portions were really good as well. My husband said he hasn’t had a pork joint like it before and was blown away. You won’t be disappointed with the food here and we are fussy. The staff are all so lovely and really attentive. We will def be back soon
