The Dead Famous Liquor Lounge & Grill in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

This has been demolished which is a real shame. No doubt to make room for another franchise “nothing special” . A really devastating and unexpected blow that this place was closed we we had been going for years and years. Huge portions of American style grub and lovely decor. A real loss

Myself and a friend visited for a drink. Bar maid was nice and friendly, quick service although I think we was the only ones in there. Tried the strawberry daiquiri and I have to say it was probably the worst cocktail I’ve ever had. Strange taste and more brown in colour than red? Make your cocktail menu smaller and perfect the ones your serving…

Won’t be going for Sunday Lunch again. Content was very disappointing. The roast beef was tasteless and tough. It obviously wasn’t freshly cooked and carved. The potatoes and parsnips hadn’t seen a roasting pan. The carrots and peas were ok as was the Yorkshire pudding ( no sign of any cabbage though) The experience of eating out is to enjoy the food but we didn’t. A complete waste of money!

The food in this one is always spot on. Rarely miss items off your order and generally better than Pool, Truro or Penzance Maccas. They must train better here or have more pride in their work as it’s noticeably cleaner with better food standards!
