Popped in without booking. Ordered food at bar. Good selection of food. Seating indoors and out, all dog friendly. Toilets let the place down, for the size there were only two ladies loo's. One lady came out after a while and said don't go in unless your desperate. So I didn't and reported the toilet to staff to look into. Very wooden with lots of memorabilia, seemed a bit dark, small sun room area more light. Overall a nice place with a variety of local arts shops.

I haven't eaten here for years but it's a great location and really cosy inside. Yet the conservatory part is nice and bright. I didn't notice if the grape vine is still going strong. Fairly central on the Island and free parking, which makes it good for people meeting up.

Great! Only one downside, everyone in our family party had to pay for food and drinks individually. I was treating my family on behalf of my recently deceased mother, but couldn't have one bill for the whole table which caused unnecessary frustration.

I called in for lunch as part of my dog walk routine as I walk our 2 dogs in the nearby fields in Arreton. I went for the cottage pie with seasonal vegetables and, as always, the food was delicious. Also, as always, our dogs were well looked after and fussed over and this is one of their favourite places to visit as they know they will get a lot of attention as well as some of my dinner! The staff are always friendly, helpful and attentive which adds to the dining experience. There is plenty of parking as the pub is set in the Arreton Barns Arts and Crafts Centre which is well worh a visit as well. The Dairyman’s Daughter is a lovely place for breakfast, lunch or an evening meal and I would thoroughly recommend.

We've been to the Dairyman’s Daughter many times and the food has never disappointed and has always been great and is reasonably priced. The service is fantastic and, sorry I don't know any of your names, but the bar and waiting staff have always been brilliant and very helpful everytime we have visited. We normally take our 2 dogs with us and they are always well looked after and they are always happy with anticipation when we walk towards the entrance! Obviously the pub is dog friendly and you can sit anywhere in the pub with your dogs just keep them on the lead. I occasionally call in here for a light lunch, as I walk our dogs in the nearby fields, and the Dairyman’s Daighter offer a good range of sandwiches, baguettes and jacket potatoes. They also offer a 'deli' version of their main courses, which is a smaller and cheaper option, and I find its just the right size for lunch. I often choose the hand carved ham, egg & chips. The ham is lovely, the egg cooked to perfection and the tomato chutney is delicious - of course our 2 dogs always seem to end up with a little something off the plate as well! The interior has a lot of interesting ornaments and pictures but some may not be to everyone's taste! Also see if you can spot the accordian collection tucked away high up near the bar? There is plenty of free car parking nearby in the Arreton Barns car park so there are no issues with getting a parking place although in high season you may have to be a little patient. We would happily recommend a visit to the Dairyman’s Daughter for breakfast  brunch, lunch or an evening meal.

We went for Valentines day dinner. Not overly busy but enough for a buzz of conversation. Quickly seated and menus presented. We ordered drinks and dinner. A hunters chicken and a mean and meaty burger. Within 15 minutes we were eating. Everything was piping hot and very good quality. The chili on the burger was spicy hot but not too hot. The hunters chicken tender, covered in bbq and topped with melted cheese. Sadly no room for dessert. We saw the baked cheesecake which looked amazing. Maybe next time, starter and dessert.

Finding this place in the dark was a little tricky but once found what a fantastic evening we had! We weren’t greeted upon arrival but that was due to a large table of ten being served. We found the bar and we placed our drinks order and were told the rules so to speak about finding a table and ordering food. The menu despite Boeing part of a three pub chain was different to the Steamship we had visited and enjoyed before. A specials board was mentioned on the menu but was blank, but that was not an issue as there was plenty of delicious items to chose from. We both selected the garlic butterflied chicken breast with chips petit point peas and a salad. We accompanied our meal with a nice Australian Chardonnay with as luck would have it accompanied the chicken superbly. The chicken was cooked to perfection the chips were crunchy on the outside and nice and fluffy in the middle and did a great job of soaking up the garlicky juices from the chicken. I find I can’t eat many chips as I find them dry, but these were just perfect soaked as they were not soggy as they were so well cooked. The chicken was tender and beautifully flavoured with the garlic the peas just soft enough to be welded onto a piece of chicken or a chip so all in all quite superb. The servers were a joy, happy helpful and attentive and made such a fuss of my friends dog Arthur who was equally well attended Chris bringing him a little bowl of water and some dog biscuits! Other diners also made a fuss of Arthur which of course he enjoyed tremendously. All I’m all to use my friends words “this was the best meal out we have had by far” we had dined at the Syeamship inn in Shanklin and that was going to take some beating but these Dairyman’s took the crown. If you want excellent food at good prices with top notch service look at this and the steamship inn and you won’t go far wrong!

The food was arty on the plate. My mashed potato was at the bottom of the mound and therefore watery. I had pork and the crackling was first rate but the pork, well, the first slice was lean and tender but the rest looked more like belly pork and was fatty and not tender. Veg was well cooked and tasty but not enough in the bowl for two people. My husband had beef. The huge Yorkshire pudding was very dry he said and the beef was tough and not much of it. We loved the ambience and the service was quick and very polite.

Always have a great meal from here but decided to have a roast this time. Roast Beef slices were fatty/chewy and cut way too thick, my knife couldn’t even cut through it. Vegetables were definitely frozen and bland, some strange reason there were courgettes and mange tout included? Never heard of that on a roast. Only part I did enjoy were the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Couldn’t believe it cost £16.95 definitely not worth the price. Think I’ll just stick to the burgers as I know they’re delicious.

First time visiting The Dairymans Daughter, recommendation from a friend. Very warm welcome from the second we walked in the door. Food was served 10-15 minutes after ordering, generous portions and good quality, exactly what you'd expect. What did stand out was the warm feeling of the place, very homely and comfortable. Special mention to the lady wearing glasses, apologies for not catching her name, her hospitality was faultless. Most importantly for us is how dog friendly the place was, there's no areas specifically for them which is great, this staff made lots of fuss of our pup, all the little things that make a big impact. Very saddened today as we have used this establishment many times over many years but today we couldn't even get through the door. 4 of us fancied a few drinks after visiting the barns and on previous visits have always gone in for a drink. When we opened the door there was a wait to be seated sign and a lady just bluntly said "name booking is under*? No hello or welcome. We said we hadn't booked to then be told we haven't got any tables which left us no option than to just leave. We only wanted a drink or 2 but weren't even asked if we wanted food or not. We could of sat outside as it was dry. A real shame as we have always enjoyed our times here . Lucky for us there is a pub 50 yards down the road. After a £24 taxi from Sandown, then a lovely visit to the barns we left disappointed we couldn't enjoy a drink. Should we return I hope maybe a more friendly staff member will be there to greet us.

To the point where I didn't feel safe to eat there, we found another little local pub who went above and beyond, even bringing out a purple folder and they were able to tell.me the exact ingredients in any dish within seconds so it's not difficult. We have been several times to the dairymans before and always enjoyed it and will try again, I just feel it's gone a little downhill and more understanding of specifically more not so common allergies would be greatly appreciated

We shared one meal between 2 for a lunch & that was enough. The chips were lovely but cheese tuna melt was totally closed. The man I told couldnt seem to understand what i meant when i told him and walked off shaking his head at me. Weird service therefore.

Great food, better service. Dog friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

Just had one of the best salads since we arrived for a break 4 days ago! Plate piled with a variety of greens and vegs topped with a generous helping of the most deliciously thick cottage cheese. And not a ring of red, raw onion in sight - which is what passes as 'salad' in other cafes and eateries around Freshwater. Just the ticket for those who like a nutritious and filling lunch.

An enjoyable lunchtime visit: the steak and onion ciabatta was delicious, as was the ale from the Carlisle Brewing Co (the bar is Cask Marque accredited). The service was friendly and helpful. Easy to reach on the 516 bus route.

Had the seniors fish and chips today for lunch. Chips were tasty and hot. The fish was soft and flaky not over cooked. The batter on the fish was light and crispy. All in all a great fish and chips lunch cooked to perfection. At £6.50 you can't complain.

Food is not cheap, but very much worth it. I've ordered many times from Novo and the food is always good. I particularly recommend the peri peri salted chips. It's super easy to customise your order by removing or adding options, which is rarely the case with other restaurants. Much appreciated! Aly is also super communicative, and I always receive a WhatsApp message letting me know when the order is out for delivery.

Conveniently placed walking distance from my house. Easy parking. Not too busy most of the time.
