Good food at fair prices with a lovely outdoor seating area .

We have visited twice this week. What a delightful cafe. The staff could not have been more helpful regarding our complex dietary requirements. My grandson deemed his meal deeelicious - quite something for him! We all really enjoyed our food. The restaurant was spotless. A previous review quoted dirty toilets. That was absolutely not my experience. I actually reported to my daughter that they were so clean that it was a good judge of overall cleanliness, including the kitchen. We enjoyed it so much that we returned having found a cash point, to leave a nice tip for the staff. Highly recommend this cafe.

Out of date tea, reheated stale quiche, withered carrots in the salad. The backs of the chairs are thick with black fingerprints. I dread to think what the hygiene is like in the kitchen. Service is slow and you are sat with your dirty plates for an eternity before they are cleared. Disastrously filthy toilets.

Decent choice at good prices. Badly let down by inability to serve fish & chips or other hot food at 1.30pm because party of 12 had prebooked (but nor yet turned up)! Csught return train to New Romney for excellent service and best fish and chips ever at the Rod & Line less thsn 2 mins from station.

Went there on our last riding the military road. Ample parking. Coffee was ok

Oh wow what a lovely friendly place. The food is wonderfully. The staff are excellent 👌 top marks and will come again! The eggs on the breakfast were so fresh and light. The food was so tasty, love it

Absolutely great place for a stop on a walk or cycle ride, if it's sunny sit outside, there is such a lovely view of the grass bank and stream!

Not really a best place to visit visited on mothering Sunday was really busy but food thecfood wasn't that good and the staff were not friendly at all. Not a place for me sorry

We found this place while on holiday. Absolutely amazing. We managed to get a kids meal, freshly made tuna sandwich with crisps and a water + a freshly made cheese and tomato sandwich with an orange juice for under £24!! It's in a great location with Tesco's opposite. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting. It's got a nice atmosphere and a beautiful view

Stopped here for lunch, very disappointed with the sandwiches, had a coronation chicken baguette, all I could taste was the margarine which had been slapped on very thickly, it also came with some slightly soft crisps. My wife had a sandwich on very cheap brown bread, would have been better off getting a meal deal at Tesco over the road

Our go-to cafe for lunch in Freshwater, great quality and good prices.

We are regulars here when on holiday on the island. There is a huge choice of food, mostly homemade and at a good price. The staff are lovely.

I have eaten here many times and it’s good. However, I was amazed to find the cafe has suddenly locked a garden gate, forcing many walkers to wade through a deep flood. This seems extraordinary, given how popular both path and cafe are with locals and visitors alike, and also completely unnecessary. Mean. I certainly won’t be back until this changes.

Having not been impressed when calling in for tea here in the past, I nevertheless decided to try lunch. The jacket potato with salad was excellent and knocked my socks off! Followed by a really lovely piece of shortbread, it really was a very good meal overall. Tea still not up to much though, which slightly let the side down, I felt.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Good, honest food. Sensible, varied menu and friendly staff. THE best chips. Great coffee and cakes at reasonable prices. Food to suit all the family, easy, free parking.

My favourite lunch stop on the Island. Always a delicious array of home cooked lunches & wonderful cakes. Lovely friendly staff; comfy, warm surroundings - perfect.

Visited for cake and coffee. Plenty of tables and a reasonable menu. We nearly missed it as set back from the road and just a small sign roadside. Very odd that it's part of the Honor & Jeffrey garden centre, yet no signs to say cafe nearby. Cake was a bit dry, coffee was from a machine and was nice.

Positives: - Pleasant staff - Spacious cafe - Tables and chairs spaced so that you can move around -Baguettes well-filled - Decent chips Less good: - £8 for one egg, a single slice of supermarket own-brand-level thin sliced ham, and a few chips wasn't good value or quality - milkshakes very artificial - Needs a more powerful extractor system for the open plan kitchen: whole place had a strong smell of chip fat

It was our first visit. Tea was weak, hot chocolate was lukewarm and the staff were surly. It will also be our last visit.

Worst breakfast I’ve ever had, fried egg was overcooked and hard, bacon overcooked and dry, and the sausage tasted as though it was cooked in disinfectant. Beans was ok and toast ok. Never again!

Surprisingly spacious café with seating inside and out, surrounded by beautiful wild flowers. Delicious cakes and friendly, helpful staff. The coffee needs a bit more coffee in it for my taste, but everything else about this place is great.

I see that cost cutting has hit the End of line cafe. The tea bags must have been the cheapest that have been produced, fruit scone one currant and Coffee poor . Looks like i should have kept going to The Hungry Bear in Lake

We visited a garden open nearby and wanted a snack. My wife remembered that there was a cafe nearby. So luckily we found it. There is a large supermarket across the road but don't go there for a sandwich crisps and a drink ! Go to The End of the Line. What a gem. In my opinion the best cream tea on the island. I don't say that lightly , I favour myself as a connoisseur of scones. I love making , them and eating them . I've travelled the island looking for a better scone than my last favourite place and now I have found it. Incidentally my last place has closed now , I can't seem to find out why though ? Bartletts Green Farm tea rooms . Anyway back to the cream tea. Two scones, one plain one fruit , recently baked on premises , Rhoddas cream , a pot of strawberry jam and a pot of tea. I think the pot was upgraded at no extra cost when I said we were sharing one cream tea between two. It was enough for more than two cups each . The scones were soft and warm and a decent size too . All the staff were really chatty and friendly to us. There are lots of tables inside but outside there is a large seating area too. It's surrounded by a glass panel , the ground has been well looked after and its a joy to sit in the sun. Flowers surround you and the disused railway line is nearby. There are pictures inside of the line when it was in use on the walls. We also had bacon sandwiches with salad but there was lots on the menu ,including sausage quiche and salad and many more snacks. The service was quick and the price really good. Certainly the best on the Island.

The scones in the Cream tea are to die for, complimented by Rhoddas clotted cream and a Wilkins strawberry jam and a pot of tea all for £6.50 pp made the visit to the Island the highlight of our day as we reminisced on our wedding anniversary of 15 years ago. Thank you.🥰👍

Food was just ok, but DON'T use the sauces, they are hideous!

Stopped here for lunch on the way to the needles and was not disappointed. Coffee was served nice and hot and the baguette sandwiches were delicious. The place is quaint inside. They sell a some souvenirs. The outside area is great on a Nice day.

Lovely views when it's warm enough to sit outside (like it was in Feb 2022). Good choice of food and drink.

Love this cafe. We have lunch here whenever we visit the west side of the island. The food is always excellent quality and the staff are very friendly and welcoming .

A great time was spent in the restaurant.Very friendly and helpful food very good.

Disgusted when I asked a waitress to investigate a dog crying in a hot car in the car park I received a mouthful of abuse, saying what did I expect her to do and it was nothing to do with her and she walked off. The owner of the dog was no better, his dinner more important than his stressed dog. Will not visit again if staff are so uncaring.

Nice to get out, small gluten free choice and nice scones, not a lot of space between tables if you want to sit inside, but we enjoyed our visit.

Friendly place with lots of parking. Good place to start a bike ride or a drink (no alcohol) but might be better to ride from here to 'off the tracks'. Food is much better down there. Cycle track is flat!

What a lovely find in a bit of traffic nearing Freshwater. Time to kill before catching a ferry from Yarmouth. Lovely coffee, pot of tea yielding 3 cuppas and a fruit juice with gluten free cappuccino cake (can't tell the difference) and 2 buttery shortbread for under £10, we were impressed with the way covud restrictions were met and a bit of railway history as well. Thank you.

Disappointing. Awful, machine coffee. Table really sticky . On a positive note it seemed to be cheap, it’s near to the railway walk.

We arrived here ,walking from the Needles,on a gloriously hot day,asking local persons where would you find a good cafe in Freshwater,so here we were,.Spacious out side tables and chairs ,with umbrella shades,clean tables and sanitiser,spotless toilets,and abeutiful field outlook,with a mown path leading to a walk to Yarmouth.We ordered inside following covide rules,served by some of the most polite Ladies we had met,service with a smile,by the lady who explained the local area.This is certainly a place to relax and enjoy a meal or simply a stop to have tea with a friend.

Unfortunately I cannot rate this garden centre any higher as they are still selling large quantities of peat-based compost. I would urge you to consider shopping at a more responsible retailer until they commit to not selling peat.

I live in Egham in Surrey and on a nice sunny day i ride my motorbike down to Lymington and get on the ferry to isle of wight my first stop is the End of the line cafe I've stopped there lots of times fantastic food very friendly staff I find it very relaxing such a nice place and its 5 stars from me

Dropped in for a quick snack... cuppa and a scone to takeaway.young girl serving was a wee bit uncertain about the takeaway bit but we got there eventually. Coffee unfortunately was hot and wet but that was its only saving grace.

First time I've been there, but worth going again.

This is located next to Wight Cycle Hire and was very welcome after cycling to Cowes and back, excellent choice of cakes and coffees, very polite staff.

I thought the food was ok nothing special but I was a bit suprised when I saw a member of staff with just a dish cloth wipe the table with no anti back spray and the chairs were not wiped either just put under the table . Visited quite a few places recently and have been very impressed by other establishments with their covid regulations. This place needs to relook at their staff training.

We have been here a few times and never disappointed very reasonable you can get a good lunch, snacks, cakes or scones the staff are great Last time a couple of weeks ago we sat outside as the weather was incredible For anyone travelling by bus it is on the #7 and #12 route ask driver for the Coop stop.

Choice of seating areas and tables well spaced. Sandwiches good although rather strange to sprinkle grated carrot and one or two other hints of salad on top (as one then needs a fork to eat or otherwise scrape them off!). My coronation chicken sandwich was - dare I say - a little overfilled given the relatively lightweight bread outer, but I was very happy with the fruit scone I had to round it off which I thought was excellent value. A good choice for anyone walking between Yarmouth and Freshwater.

We sat outside to have some lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how good the jacket potatoes were. The staff were also very nice and friendly and of course working under difficult circumstances but all had a smile on their faces.

Nice little cafe on the Isle of Wight, food ok and reasonably priced, second visit was quite busy , purchased some lovely home made plum preserve. Yummy!

We visited after a walk from Yarmouth. The staff were very friendly and helpful, everyone was very observant of current regulations. The scones were very good indeed. The tea was hot and a large pot. Cleaning was going on the whole time. The food looked great.

We visited the cafe for breakfast which was a typical English breakfast. The staff very friendly and the breakfast was served quickly and was very tasty.

Adequate and all clean!! Will call again !!

Stopped off here for refreshment in the middle of a long walk. Excellent social distancing markings and felt very secure. Lovely outside decking for sitting in the sun. Very clean and well kept.

We regularly visit this cafe, the food is always up to a good standard and a menu that caters for all taste, including gluten free. Good selection of cakes and sandwiches, the scones are our favourite albeit on the small side. Good lunchtime menu. Large free car park, plenty room inside.

Don't get over that way as often now but it's a great place for a cuppa.

Meet up with friends for a coffee at the End of the Line - it was blowing a gale outside so having brought a hot chocolate and coffee I was amazed to spy a log burner which I headed for and sat there as warm as toast - drinks very good value and a nice selection of cakes - we will definitely be returning thank you

Popped in here on a rainy day. Had the cheese scone which was tasty. My partner had the fruit scone which he was disappointed in as it had no fruit in it.

Popped in today at the start of storm Dennis. Welcoming, a wide range of tasty food and one of the best priced cafes on the island. Good parking and easy access for walkers. Definitely worth a visit.

Were staying on The Isle of Wight and were driving around the Island.We came across this Cafe and decided to stop for Coffee and Cake.The building is attractive from the outside and once inside it was warm welcoming andfriendly. A good selection of food but we only had coffee and freshly mage rock cakes were superb. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and other foodbeing served to other customers looked fresh and apertising. There are lots of items on the walls telling you the History of The railway. It is so good to find these none chain locally run places and this was a little gem

This little gem serves some tasty scoff at reasonable prices.

Free from corporate interference and believing in traditional values regarding potion size, the Steak and Vegetable Pie, on the specials board, was outstanding. Packed with well cooked steak, easy on the veggies, served with a healthy portion of garden peas, chips and gravy, was as tasty as it was filling. Well done to the ladies who work there.

Very friendly and helpful staff, many food choices for vegans and veggies including excellent cake and whipped cream. Being local it’s one of our favourite places to eat.

We like to use this cafe in the good weather as we have the dogs with us and they have to stay outside.BUT the food is very good, both in taste and price. It is all very clean. Parking is good. Worth looking for this, we found it by accident, glad we found it.

We use to take my mum and dad here as my dad worked on the island railway for years he was a signal man
