Went in on my lunch break and I was a pound short for my order and without hesitation they still gave me what I wanted even though I didn’t have enough money, most places wouldn’t even think of doing that. Class owners great food. Top place

The curry pod offers just what one needs, be it on a match day or just visiting the city of Manchester. Tasty burgers, curries or chips you can't go wrong. Tip: try the masala lamb burger if you like a bit of spice. Great food at reasonable prices and very hospitable owners to boot.

The owners are so friendly and will do their utmost to accommodate any requests you have. I've had various dishes from here now and each one is just as tasty as the last. Took my son who can be a bit of a picky eater and he loved it too 😁👍 High quality good at such good value. Will be back again soon for sure 😍

Visited the curry pod many times while they were at bury market. Now relocated to bigger premises this is a must for anyone who loves curries samosas or even a burger and chips the owners always try to give you what you want if they don’t have it they will always try to make sure they will cook it for you on your next visit if you are going to the match and feel hungry definitely worth a visit

Takeaway curry like you've never had before. The curry pod makes home style meat and vegetarian curries which are delicious. Worth a visit if you're in the area or before a match at old Trafford- it's literally around the corner. I had the chicken curry with rice which was so full of flavour but not too spicy and not oily like other takeaway curries. Portions are generous for the price, £4-6. They put new items on the menu often so you get to try new things. Emphasis on healthy dishes and also many vegan options on the curry menu. They do burgers and other fast food options particularly on match days. Really friendly owners and staff. There's a bit of counter seating so you can eat in as well.

My partner & I tried to get to Bury Market at least 2 monthly, for the great salmon there, and The Curry Pod, home to amazing home made curries. They didn't do many curries at Bury, but what they did, they did very well. Always at least 2 meat curries, and 2 veggie. I asked if they would make me a fish curry for next time, as I don't eat meat. Phoned 24hrs before we were going, and a delicious fish curry was waiting for me. Imagine my surprise when I discovered they had moved much nearer to where I live, in Stretford. They have a larger premises than at the market, and have big plans. They now do more than just curries, ie burgers, wraps, fried chicken, kebabs, fish items, and chips. Their curries, samosas, and gourmet chips are the only things that are currently home made, but they plan to take on another chef, to be able to stay open evenings, and expand their menu. Although still a take-away, they do have some stools, and a shelf/table to eat there, but don't have the space for a customer toilet. The service is second to none. They will mix & match dishes at your request, and do smaller and larger portions if you ask. The best food by far in Stretford.

Be warned that the Indian Palace, formerly Spice, is going through another transition and is currently shut while being refitted (Nov 27th, 2024). Signs on the windows say it will be reopening soon as the "House or Biryanis and Kebabs". I hope it still servers restaurant style and isn't just a franchise clone... Below is from 2003. Ate here the other day with the kids as a group of 3. We were well looked after by the main waiter who recommended the prawns which were fresh that day. Had the prawns for starters, a biryani, and two curries along with a couple of naan and some rice. The lamb in the curries and biryani was some of the tenderest I've had in the UK - will be back for more of that! Good portion sizes, including the plain rice, though a few more poppadom bits on the poppadom and chutney starters would be good. After trying curry houses in Timperley Village and The India Palace in West Timperley (on Manchester Road), the India Palace deserves many more return visits.

I went to Urmston branch they took one hour to bring food and order the hot and sour soup it was full of ketchup and parrota was not cooked properly and curry is very worthless and there is a hair in soup . And won’t go back any more completely waste of money and also we wasted the food.

I felt I had to write a review as we have so many great things to say about this restaurant. The quality and taste of the food far outweighs anything in the area. They deserve the business so much, the staff are so fantastic they can’t do enough to make your dining experience a wonderful one. Our family love coming here as it never fails to be a great evening. More people should give this a try the food and service are fantastic and the prices are so reasonable for the quality of ingredients used! This is our go to for authentic Indian food and we can’t recommend you highly enough!
