Brilliant pub! Such a lovely place to visit. We spend the afternoon having lunch and loved every minute, it was a pleasure!

Awesome food coupled with awesome bar staff from awesome servers! Will absolutely be back! Lovely atmosphere and the trad band are fantastic on a Thursday. Definitely recommend!

We were out with friends for dinner last night at the buzzing Curlers Rest on Byres Road. Although the food wasn’t 5 stars the way Brad the manager handled our concerns was text book customer service. He couldn’t have been more helpful and for that reason I would certainly visit again. It’s unrealistic to think that things never go wrong or mistakes don’t get made (who amongst us can say we’ve never slipped up?) - what matters is how the service provider deals with it that sorts out the wheat from the chaff.

Nice pub with good alcohol free options but fiver for a portion of chips that was literally like a tiny tapas dish! OK for drinks but bad value for food

Cheap frozen food of wetherspoons standard. Portions ridiculously small. Avoid

Getting served at the bar is a nightmare unless you are a pretty woman or a very tall man. I was 10 minutes trying to get served at the bar and found it very annoying that a certain profile of customer would walk up and get served right away. Very discriminatory. I was eventually served after asking them to serve the elderly gentleman next to me who had been waiting even longer!

The food was nice, but Cullen Skink could've done with more smoked fish to enhance the taste.

A great old-fashioned Glasgow pub. Great place to meet for pre theatre drinks.

My partner and I came for dinner on a week day and had a really good experience overall. Food was on point and it is a real gem to Byres Road if you are looking for good food but without the fuss of a restaurant! We have been in lots of time before this to get drinks and snacks and it has never failed us. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic service, lovely beer and the food was amazing! Great place to take the weans for a midday scran anaw. The mrs fancied one of the boys behind the bar which I didn't appreciate. She always does this. Rubs it into my face when she takes interest in a younger, slimmer, more handsome guy. I'm sick of it. We once loved each other. She cheated on me 5 years ago. A specky wee bartender at Oran Mor. Told her I could never trust her ever again. If it wisny for the weans she'd be out on the streets. I recommend the Innis & Gunn if you're going for a pint with your pals!

Honestly one of the best pubs/spots in Glasgow if u haven't been then you should definitely take a wee trip down been in here a good couple of times and tbh they always manage to knock it out the park not only with dinks and food but also the staff are amazing make you feel like you're at home

The coziest pub! Huge couches and big tables, nice music. Such friendly and accommodating staff 🥰 and the food was s c r u m p t i o u s. Crunchy delicious fries with the juicy club sandwich and lovely wine selections, served in an ice bucket 🤩 perfect for my wee bday celebration with my pal 😊

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in the inviting warmth of the decor. The subtle play of ambient lighting created a lovely ambience, casting a soft glow upon the walls which was a beautiful environment for my guests and I. The attentive and warming nature of the staff really set them apart from the other in the area. As their genuine enthusiasm and commitment ensuring our time spent there was the best it could be. Which was noted by everyone in the party. This is why I would recommend Curlers Rest to anyone who may be in the area.

Came in with my parents visiting from Edinburgh and had a lovely early evening couple of pints. Lad at the bar was kind enough to let my mum try samples of a couple of the beers on tap so she could make up her mind!

I come in all the time with my department, it's such a convenient place for uni and the subway and the atmosphere is just lovely. Exactly what you want from a pub!

wonderful restaurant in the west end of Glasgow near the university. We had the stovies and balmoral chicken with chips and extra peas.

Really enjoyed a pint of their Curlers real ale. It tasted familiar but I had never seen it anywhere else before. Great pint!

Sunday Roast Dinner. Chicken version was VERY generous. Beef version very miserly on the beef. Staff and service great.

Food is outstanding for pub grub, personally love the haggis but the fish n chips look class!

Enjoyed a lovely day out for food and drinks with my hubby and 3 beautiful children. Great atmosphere and fantastic food. The kids especially loved running riot and playing the board games provided. Will definitely be back.

Curlers is one of my favourite spots to sit and chill. Food is super tasty and friendly atmosphere. The red head is very VERY appealing and likes a good chat, thanks to her she made my day shine x

I actually first stumbled upon this little hidden gem as I needed the toilet and was close to touching cloth when leaving Hillhead Subway Station! It was just by chance I came across this warm welcoming establishment. The staff were fantastic at accommodating me. Especially the girl with the red hair, she’s got some chat on her. I ended up staying for a couple drinks and some food and by golly did I have a lovely time. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy the scrumptious scran and divine drinks in the very near future.

Came in for a late lunch with my sister who has celiac. Our server Shannon was so knowledgeable and attentive and made my sister feel really assured about her food choices! The food was delicious and arrived quickly, would definitely come back!

Came in for a few drinks with friends and left with such amazing memories thanks to Curlers!! Delicious cocktails and such a wide variety of Non/Lo Alcohol drinks. Very impressed with service from staff, special shout out to Euan with his witty banter and making the night so much better. Thanks Curlers, will be back very soon

I had not visited the Curlers, but when passing and seeing stovies on the menu, I was drawn in. I suggested going there with a pal for a beer and food. There was a very good selection of beers. I was not certainly not disappointed with the stovies that came with carrots and tenderstem broccoli plus bread to mop up the gravy. The stovies were exceptionally tasty. Amid all the different cuisines on Byres Road, I was delighted to see some traditional Scots cooking on the menu.

Went for drinks, good selection, ended up having some food too which was very good for Pub Grub. Would recommend

Sunday lunch disaster, myself and my husband ordered roast beef lunch on hogmany, when meal arrived our knives could not cut through beef, complained to member of staff who apologised and ordered another meal. When that came it was not any better even though we...

It was a lovely experience with drink as well as service especially when your staff member with the Vegas landyard was so handsome and flirtatious I couldnt help but want to buy more drink just to talk to him it's amazing I wouldn't mind definitely coming back

Service was awful. No staff at the bar people waiting to be served. Long wait for food and steak pie pastry was too heavy to eat. Table not cleared for at least 20mins after finished eating, table next people left and plates were still sitting there for half an hour or so. No one came to ask if food was ok and if you want another glass of wine to have with your food you have to go to the bar, let your food go cold waiting to be served. No customer service and no upselling of drinks, desserts, coffee etc

Only two of the “famous pies” available at half five in the evening! Shepherds pie should be called shepherds soup with bones!

Appalling lack of basic hygiene at the serving hatch. The staff member scooping food onto plates with his bare hands going from meat to veg without washing his hands. When pointed out the manageress was condescending and dismissive.

We stopped here for a late lunch on the last day of our trip. This was sadly not up to the standard of the other places we had eaten. The atmosphere was great, but the person who served me at the bar didn’t know how...

We booked a large table and everything was perfect. Food was served promptly and everything was spot on. Drinks service is at the bar and a great selection of drinks.

Food wasn't great and took a long time to come....but a busy happening place

The meal I ate was cold. I was there with 2 friends and I had to ask a member of staff about the other two meals once I received mine, as 5 minutes had passed and the other two meals hadn’t arrived. There was also no roast chicken left. There was a waiting time of 40 minutes for our pudding. I only found this out after enquiring.

Wished U could have stayed longer

Went for lunch with classmates. Paid a five or six pounds for a tin of microwaved Heinz / or similar soup. Everybody else was pretty disappointed with their food too. This was last year, but reading from the comments it hasn’t improved much. Such a shame, if there was a little love put into what is done there it could be a cracking pub.

Terrible sausage and mash 16.50 for 4 half cooked sausages couple of spoons of mash some gravy and some fried onions won't be going back their complete rip off..

Always a good visit. The food is nice though a bit on the pricey side. They have a good selections of drinks and food and atmosphere is usually great.

Visited the Curlers Rest for lunch for the first time, been in for drinks on a few occasions before and the beer is always good with plenty of choice. Our meat platter was very good and a nice choice of 3 tasty dips. The bar and waiting staff were polite and efficient and we are happy to recommend a visit to the Curlers.

Popped infor a drink, busy but staff worked well. Good beer and wine selection. Great pre/post subway into/out of city center.

Had the Haggis and it was delicious. Great atmosphere, and an interesting history to this place.

The food is absolutely dreadful. I paid £4 for a garlic flatbread and it what arrived was half of a cheap frozen one clearly from the Tesco up the road. It was the driest thing I’ve ever had.

Definitely a wonderful pub worth checking out, though it is on the expensive side...

The wild boar pie was really tasty but apple pie slightly overcooked

I thought it was the worst food I've had in a long time firstly we were sat directly at the door so it was freezing cold ,the meal was presented well, but unfortunately didn't taste as nice as it looked , the beef was rubbery with lots of fat ,.the chicken was extremely dry even with lots of gravy , the roast potatoes and were bland and cold and had clearly been lying for awhile as were the vegetables , all round very disappointing for the money that was paid

The food and the service was good but there was a problem with the app when ordering food. It did not look of the order had been processed and when I checked the bank it wasn't taken off my account so I ordered and paid at the bar. Later on on of the bar staff came over to me and said that both amounts had been taken off my bank. The manager came and offered me refund which I took in cash. This spoiled an otherwise enjoyable evening.

Staff were really helpful. Pub is decorated nicely, clean, spacious, nicely lit. The beer was good!

Popped in for a drink. Bar was very busy and the service was super slow. My husband stood at the bar for 20 minutes before being served.

Sunday lunch catch up with friends. We had booked in advance. When we arrived we checked in at the bar and we’re shown to our booth. It wasn’t in our name but the server had checked the list so thought that was it. We’re just ordering when another server came and said we’d need to move as the table was for someone else. We explained what happened and we’re left where we were. Sunday roasts were ordered for 4. All beef. It was ok, Luke warm and tough veg. Ordered additional drinks via the QR code. After 20 mins went to the bar to chase up. The deserts on offer were not in stock. Apple pie and custard not available at all. Quite disappointing overall.

Nice menu good old fashioned pub - had linch with the family here all enjoyed their food. Service was good and nice atmosphere.

My daughter and I don’t get a lot of time to catch up with each other so we were looking forward to lunch. Both of us decided to start with the sharing Nachos,this was a dry disappointment. We were looking forward to warm chips covered in melted cheese,what we got was tortilla chips in a bowl with really horrible American bottled cheese squirted over the top with the usual accompaniments. We had a few,but it was so dry we left most of it,for £11 ?? The mains. I ordered the Haggis and my daughter ordered the balmoral chicken. My haggis was delicious but you would really need to be bad to mess up haggis. Her Balmoral chicken frankly should never have left the kitchen,it was dry,hard and horrible. The staff member very quickly came over,apologised and my daughter received a glass of wine,she ordered Haggis but the damage was done,I slowed down eating my main waiting on hers coming out. Yes I didn’t have to but we were meant to be out for lunch together and I felt it was only manners to hold off. We didn’t risk a sweet. I’ve been going to Curlers since I was a teen, now I’m approaching 60. I would go in for a drink before I go to another restaurant for a meal but not for food. Nachos is a great starter if it’s done well,but it had all the signs of they didn’t care all over it. The chicken balmoral wasn’t Royal.

First night in Scotland from Australia and found this great pub not far from our accommodation. Great atmosphere, staff and menu. Would highly recommend for a meal and drink . Caters for all dietary requirements…..
