World traveller, just came at 1am friday and the security asks "where have you been tonight?" What business is it of his? Anyways answered at the shawarma place and before that AXM. Then he says are you alone? I go yes, then he says no singles can come in! I said ok and walked away... No idea what that was. Loosing business just Wiered!!!

Great wee bar with the best staff !

All the staff were very welcoming and down to earth, they were engaging with all their customers and David especially was incredibly attentive to anything we needed. The vibes were great, the kareoke was horrendous but hilarious and the overall environment was very inclusive. Thank you to all the staff who gave me a fantastic night out in Glasgow city centre. :) x

The best bar on the scene. Booked an area for my friends 40th birthday. David the manager and his team are simply amazing nothing was a bother or an issue. Had the area all set up for us arriving and made all the guest fell so welcome. James the best DJ on the scene had the place jumping from start to end and he always plays any request that you have and You won’t meet a better manager or bar staff. Speakeasy is a wee gem of a bar wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Thanks guys keep doing what yous do x

Fun bar in city centre, always an interesting and entertaining crowd. bar staff very friendly, and decent prices. only gripe is the opening hours seem very unpredictable.

10/10 service! We organized last minute birthday plans for my sisters and David and Josh went out of their way to make our night so special. Prices are very reasonable and such a safe, welcoming atmosphere! Will definitely be back. Thank you!

I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I had here tonight. The bartenders are genuine sweethearts, the drag queens are #queengoals and the entire vibe was super positive and encouraging. Loved singing up on stage — which I otherwise totally wouldn’t have done. Altogether great. As the bartender said— welcome to your new regular 😎

Toilets are the only thing that let's it down..

My missus and I went to the Friday Karaoke night at Speakeasy last night. We had a booth booked from 7 - 8pm but I went in 10 minutes early to try and extend the booking of the booth. This is where I met David and Erin who were setting things up for the evening. Simply put, they were exceptional. Incredibly approachable, accommodating and amazingly, throughout the whole night, nothing was too much trouble. The night itself was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant as well as the crowd. It was a stand out night and I have to reiterate, the staff were the highlight of what was one of the best nights out we've had. Could not recommend more highly. Top class.

Just wanted to leave a comment and say we spent Glasgow pride evening at speakeasy last night and it was a truly wonderful experience!!!! Massive shout out to all the staff 💕 every member of staff was very lovely, helpful and polite…. The bouncer on the door was kind and helpful and friendly (which is the first person people see before they enter a club!) the bar team were kind, quick and friendly, DJ was great….. both the up stairs and down stairs in speakeasy was a great experience - we met two lovely drag queens (brandon(Brandi) and Jay(Danni))they were awesome tooo!! We will most certainly be back! HAPPY PRIDE EVERYBODY!💕🌈

Visited last Friday with my partner. We had a fun night and later some dancing! Drink were great prices and we can’t wait to visit again in the future.

First time being in the place, Shaun on the door was great, gave us the rundown of the place and even checked in with us to see how our night was going when he had a free minute. Had a great night!

Young William is a pleasure and delight

It’s become a Glasgow favourite, the type of place where you know your going to have a good time regardless of the circumstances. I just happened to visit again recently and was warmly welcomed at the door by manager Wullie and a polite doorman named Matthew. (I think) our intention was to have a quick drink on our way onwards to the club. We never made it to the club as we quickly got caught up in all the excitement with the crowd and spent the evening dancing and partying away until closing time at 3am l. Speakeasy is one of those great pubs that bring people together and it’s a varied and often exciting experience. 10/10 for service and great attitude! A definite feather in the G1 groups cap. Quirky little pub with fantastic atmosphere. Celebrating my birthday with friends popped in for 1 drink but stayed all night. Massive shout out to the bar tenders William and Shaun who made a big impression, service was great and gave us plenty of laughs through the night ! Everyone had a great time and would definitely recommend this venue. Thank you to Bella for taking the time to have a picture with my child xx we will surely be back for more entertainment.

Love this place! Been a few times and will go back again. Drinks are amazing! Cocktails are very quirky and don’t disappoint. Bar staff were very attentive and upbeat and the atmosphere is a winner too. Only good things to say about this place :)

First time in it. Staff friendly

bartender was rude to me, I said nothing just waited to get served which was taking a while which did annoy me but I didn’t complain or take that out on any of the staff, but I got scolded essentially as if i’d been having a go at them. pretty awful night from then on really killed my vibe and made me want to stay away from the bar.

this place has completely lost all its atmosphere, also the bar staff aren't very engaging, we used to come here once or twice a week however it has certainty lost its appeal. Butterfly and the Gallery are miles ahead of speakeasy in terms of promotions, events and general service.

Came to speakeasy last night for the first time and it was great! One of the staff in particular (I'm sorry I don't know his name) was super helpful when I arrived for our booking. Great tunes, definitely will be back!

Love this place staff are friendly the only thing I would say is it's gets really really busy so if you hate crowds then this place is not for you especially on weekends

Had a great night dancing to cheesy pop songs. Bar was very busy and service was very slow on the bar. Thinking they may just have been a bit short on staff at the time as table weren’t being speared either. That being said, all staff were friendly and everyone looked to be having a great time!

The quiz night on the 4th December hosted by Miss Bella Houston was absolutely fabulous! Not only was Bella amazing, but all the staff were so friendly and hospitable which made the night 10/10! I just popped in for a drink for the first time, however, was enticed by the quiz and ended up joining in! I believe all the money went to a good cause and even won a raffle prize! Will definitely be back :)

A great place with friendly bar staff!

As a newbie to Glasgow going out alone is a very daunting experience and have never felt more welcome in a bar like I have in speakeasy. The whole team of staff are incredible but got to give a shout-out to Will Claire Ryan Colin Mel and Craig. Not forgetting the fabulous entertainment team Martin and juicy James!!!! Would defo recommend to any solo drinker!!!!!

Absoloutley fantastic bar/club yet again. Just love this place and always our go to place for a excellent night out in Glasgow. The staff we mainly dealt with Will, Claire and Ryan are just excellent and could not do enough for anyone. Excellent prices VERY FRIENDLY bar staff. Karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday night with an amazing host called Martin greets everyone who enters the bar and welcomes them (very nice touch) Friday and Saturday open till 3am with excellent music throughout the night. If you are in glasgow you MUST go to speakeasy and experiance this amazing place you will not regret it one bit.

Being going to this Establishment for many years now Your always made welcome by the staff .thereS always different entertainment on to suite everyone’s taste from drag queens to dj’s The glass collect is nice too always got smile on his face Will the manager always has a bit of banter with you and makes you feel welcome and always cheery and if your a regular he will come say hi

Fantastic place! AMAZING FOOD! great range of cocktails. Service was brilliant, everyone was so friendly. Took my girlfriend for our anniversary and they surprised us with a half bottle of Prosecco - so kind! Would definitely go back.
