Wow what can I say, we booked a table for 5.15 and arrive around 15 minutes early. We were seated straight away. Water was on the table when we arrived, we ordered our drinks and then the food. We had some small plates to share for a starter, then we had pork belly and a fig and rocket salad. The food was amazing and so was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly. We sat on a huge table (there was 3 of us) and it does state on the website that during busy periods, tables may need to shared. We did not have the tour, but bought some beers at the bar before we left. can't wait to return. Price did include service charge, which we were happy to pay for as the service was fab! 😊

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Oh my, and I was so looking forward to going there. The Curious Brewery. My wife & I visited Sunday afternoon the 23 of April. What a clever designed building on the inside and very striking on the outside. But that's due to a Grand Architect & good interior designer of course. If only the service was as good! Although the bar lady was well spoken. We ordered a much anticipated warming Pink Gin & got the lemon kind. There was a poor selection of beers, and at a brewery indeed. Then to add insult to injury we were called time on , Wait for it , wait for it, an hour before closing ! while others were untroubled & carried on their discussion. I'm so sorry Mr.Neame & Mr.Martin for neglecting your differing premises, We will be back soon at one of your lovely pubs, very soon wether they are in Kent, East Sussex or London. And let's just pause for a moment I know about 660 business folk around the world. At least chef seemed to be working hard, Well done him!

Visited the Curious Brewery Restaurant a while ago and I had a good experience. I visited with friends and had reserved a table for lunch. The staff are welcoming and friendly and we were seated straight away. We had a bench table so there was plenty of space with a view of main road and there is a view of the brewery, so you can see what's happening inside the main floor where the brewing takes place. We all ordered Fish & Chips which look good and it was tasty. Overall we had a good time, but I would suggest having cushioned seating on the seats as it can get uncomfortable after a while when your seating on wooden chairs. There is parking on site and it's easy to find - Recommend!

Our daughter booked the tour as a birthday present for my husband, Paul. We were greeted in the bar by Ben, our tour guide. Ben was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable! He made our tour very informative, and an eye-opener into high tech brewing today. after the tour we went back to the bar, lounge, restaurant, to enjoy some tastings. Each glass that was presented to use, Ben knew the combinations of hops used. He was very interesting and we learnt a lot. I particularly liked their "Curious Apple" cider. Husband really liked their Curious Session IPA. Highly recommend booking a tour, or just visiting their lovely bar and restaurant.

Went for an evening meal. Firstly found the menu fairly basic, limited and unimaginative. Starter was standard although I don't like mayo and was not offered an alternative. The chicken burger was rubbery, dry and bland, chips were far too salty to the point I felt quite unwell after only eating half of them. Deserts again very unimaginative nothing really indulgent. Will not be returning or recommending. No one was that interested when voiced my feelings. Cold draft through the place too.

Fun and funky looking place. Lots going on outside with silos and lots of kegs stacked up. It was my birthday meal, 3 adults 1 child. 2 starters, 3 main meals 2 deserts, 2 beers, 3 soft drinks and one excellent Rose. Scotch eggs were lovely, pizza great, cheeseburger very tasty, chicken burger was ‘munch’ and my cod and chips was very nice. All in all food came out in a reasonable time and the quality and taste was excellent and piping hot. No one left hungry at all. Cost was £125 including tip. Waitress was very polite and waiter knew his stuff about the beers, ciders and wines that were available. All in all Yes would go back as enjoyable and with a simple menu it fitted in well. Restaurant was very busy for a Wednesday. Happy Birthday To Me 🥳🥳🥂

How has it gone so wrong. Used to be a reliable place for a decent meal and good beer but if last nights meal is anything to go by I won't be rushing back. Started off well with very good starters but I ordered the harrisa chicken burger with paprika fries. To start with nothing had any flavour, the chicken was do overcooked it was like an old piece of hard rubber but the worse thing was the ciabatta roll that tasted old and so tough it couldn't be eaten. I spoke to the waitress but there was no apology and nothing was done about it. We still decided to do dessert. The waitress had no idea what the tart of the day was or what it came with but I ordered anyway. What came out was a flat completely burnt black piece of what I believe was once pastry with 3 tiny slices of maybe pear on the top. I tried one small mouthful but all I could taste was charcoal. Sent back and taken off bill but no apology or acknowledgement of any error. Cannot believe anyone in the kitchen thought it was acceptable to send out in the first place. Won't be returning anytime soon

Seen this brewery several times when visiting Ashford Outlet. Having had many other good experiences with brewery taprooms (Westerham, Titsey and Dorking (Gin Kitchen)) decided to visit as we were in the area. It’s easy to book a table. Car parking was plentiful. Service was good and the waitresses were friendly and pleasant. There is a lot of seating at high and low tables. Menu has small plates and mains. Had a chicken burger - probably the best I’ve ever had and a couple of drinks - the cider was pleasant enough, but the Millionaire’s stout was the best stout I’ve ever had. Recommend a visit.

When we checked in at the hotel, we saw that there was a brewery across the street. Since we had nothing planned, we booked a table for three the same evening. The restaurant and bar is located in a large, pleasant room where there were quite a lot of people when we arrived. We started by ordering drinks that were produced next to the restaurant. It tasted really good. We then ordered fish and chips and Caesar sallad, togerher with foccacia bread, and everyone was very happy with the food. Since we will be in Ashford for several days, it is likely that we will take another dinner at Curiois Brewery!

£20 pp beer tasting tour. Went for a tour around the brewery, I thought it would be slightly bigger than it was but it was very informative and clearly explained. Small group tours that started with smelling the different types of hops. Brewery process and any questions answered. Then back up to the bar for tasters of all their beers. I would recommend the IPA but personally not a fan of the porter. To end they gave everyone a curious pint glass to take home. Well worth the price paid imo.

So fed up with this place can’t even do any curious puns. Walked in to try real beers in a real brewery, to be met by a fizzy (keg) horror show. No beer. The bar manager was very sniffy when I asked for a beer, he said they ‘might have one on on a month or two’ but that ‘they did have some carbonated drinks’. We’re worried about the demise of pubs in the UK, this kind of plastic brewery isn’t helping. The food was very poor. The staff were really nice, bar the bloke already mentioned.

This soulless plate of nachos cost £14! Now nachos usually fall short of the mark when the cheese is not layered.. in this case however, a sparce scattering of cheese would have been a significant improvement.. Nachos were our second option, a dissapointing alternative given that they had run out of pizzas by 8.40 on a sat night. Needless to say, having caught the train to visit CB, we were hugely let down and will not be returning. The best part about our visit was the refund. A huge shame having wanted to visit for so long given the journey.

But I do wish I had been warned before booking with a toddler that there is no kids menu and the seating isn’t very kid friendly. I thought to myself maybe they don’t allow little ones in but when I booked it gave me to option so they must accommodate, but not really. Very limited menu. Portion sizes are brilliant mind! And the staff were very patient with my card playing up, didn’t make me feel awkward or anything. Seats were uncomfortable and I thought the prices were a little steep on some of the food. I’d say this is definitely more couples/adults only venue, not family friendly.

Good atmosphere (Thursday 8pm) with great food (chicken wings and chips). The beer is obviously great with it being top UK craft brewery and the staff were freindly and approachable. The brewery is well positioned in the town with great outside spaces and well thought out decor (and music). The menu is not geared for children however there is space for them to feel comfortable if your taking them snacks while you eat from the menu. I'd go again and I suggest you do too. Price point was £14 for chips, wings and a half pint which is very reasonable considering the overheads and facilities they have in the bar/restaurant!

Sunday menu and service was shocking. No kids meals available. Why is a 3 year old going to want to eat a full adult meal!! Staff looked like they was popping to the shop rather than they was going to serve people. Men walking around in baseball caps serving food and instead of looking smart in uniforms as they usual do on previous visits looked like they had just thrown on a curious tshirt, trousers and a random pair of shoes found on the bedroom floor. Food was far from the usual standard. Which is disappointing as we usually have a great meal here. Don’t seem to care anymore with what is served. Food was tasteless and not very well cooked. Serving staff were wondering around asking every 10 minutes if everything was okay and how was our food. When all we wanted to do was eat what we could and leave. Won’t be going back anytime soon. Nothing for my kids to choose from and I’m not paying a full adult meal price for them to leave half a meal because they not longer cater for children. Shocking

Went for the brewery tour and lunch. The tour was a bit perfunctory and bland. If you want information and genuine passion for brewing try the Foundry in Canterbury or Shepherd Name in Faversham. Beer was generic. Lunch was good - a proper Sunday lunch 🙂

The one beer that I actually wanted to try and they were out of it! The staff appear far too often to the point where they are like annoying children. I know it wasn't busy but they kept asking if we were ready to order 3 times in the space of about 7 minutes, not sure what the rush was. Did the kitchen staff want to go home? I'm not a regular so had to read the menu top to bottom to see what I wanted to eat, as you would in any other restaurant. The meal arrived quickly as I'd expect with the eagerness of the staff. When we received the meal, within a minute of the sauces being brought over, another member of staff appeared to ask if everything was alright with it. I had only just received it and hadn't even had a chance to taste it at that point. I'm sure they must be running a tag team in the kitchen as to how to annoy customers. The meal was OK, nicely cooked and filling. I'm not sure the reused Wilkins jam pots are a good idea for serving sauces in though as the label had left a sticky residue on it and so I had to hold it with a napkin. A pretty gross feeling to be honest. With all the constant bothering by staff I couldn't relax and felt really rushed. On top of that I couldn't figure out the old collection of record sleeves on display. Almost all of them would be for fans that are now in their 60s and 70s. What type of person are you trying to attract with that? Doesn't seem to even fit with it being a brewery but then I'm not an interior designer or run a brewery so what do I know. Needless to say we were only there for about 45 minutes and left to find somewhere nicer that we would be left alone by staff to enjoy ourselves and our drinks. Is this place worth a visit? Probably yes, if you're in the area. Would I return? Not any time soon.

This is highly recommended. Obviously the beer is excellent but what makes it special is the good simple food in a relaxed modern setting - very Antwerp. Enthusiastic staff and reasonable prices.

Apart from the obvious beer quality, the good honest quality food, keen service, great modern setting with a continental feel and decent prices.

If a tour cancellation is required they advise contacting them to discuss. I've tried by phone and get an irrelevant message about Opening times in January but no human contact. Have sent emails and have not received any responce. Tried to book another tour with my £40.voucher only to find out that they have deducted £35.from it for a tour that I couldnt attend and had emailed the cancellation prior to the date. So annoyed and disappointed with Curious.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with a meal here. The service was exemplary, and the food was simply stunning.

Having booked the Christmas lunch for £120 per head we were expecting a festive feast fit for a king and queen! What we were presented with was certainly far from that. The bucks fizz on arrival was tasteless and a very strange opaque colour. However, we thought let's get a nice glass of wine. The wine was awful and came up in the cheapest glasses. Now for the starters. The soup was tasteless slop and came with butter thrown on a plate (cheap portion wrapped butter usually found at the local cafe). Scallops were edible to be magnanimous. Next came the main event... well the plates for the turkey were no bigger than side plates, the food piled high. Roast potatoes were like iron and brussels tasteless. The turkey came with a slither of stuffing and the side plate of vegetables was meagre and served with no imagination not even a parsnip in sight. Cheapest vegetables used. The beef was not roast beef as you would know it, it was a slab of what tasted like reconstituted meat. Very poor presentation for a special meal. Water glasses came up and were plastic! Never had that in any restaurant. Desserts were OK but again presentation left alot to be desired. The ladies serving were a real pleasure though and probably if honest saved the experience we encountered. For what was a very expensive Christmas treat (we normally eat at home) it is certainly one we felt was very poor. The presentation, food quality and breadth of choice was inadequate. Money for old rope! Really the management whom never made themselves known should be ashamed of the overpriced con this was. I would imagine many felt the same as we did witness people complaining at other tables and asking for refunds. We would never return and will be telling anyone who will listen how dreadful this experience was! Poor show Farriers Arms you did it all on the cheap and it showed.
