The Cuban - Camden in Camden

We came here attracted by the Latin music and ended up staying until closing time. The drinks were very nice and the staff lovely. I don't visit Camden very frequently, but next time in, I will see you again!

We ordered vegetable tempura, a beer and a cocktail. Server placed the food without saying anything and the tempura was very sad, 4 pieces oily and no flavor. Cocktail was tiny and we pay £12.50. Never again.

Unable to provide basic facilities (toilets) for paying customers. The staff were friendly enough but they blocked off the only toilets provide by the fbrr- forcing us to use the broken public toilets. 80% had no toilet roll and 75% didn’t lock so I had to use horrendous facilities despite paying premium rates for drinks in food- totally unacceptable

Increíble bar, bebidas fabulosas. Si buscas una noche de baile, ese es el lugar para una buena música latina.

Este es un gran espacio y estoy seguro de que sería divertido beber y bailar hasta tarde en la noche, pero me decepcionó mi almuerzo. A menos que Jon Favreau nos haya mentido a todos en la película "Chef", los sándwiches cubanos deberían ser mucho más sabrosos que los caros, así que me sirvieron un sándwich. El servicio también era bastante pobre: un montón de personal simplemente conversaba en lugar de prestar atención a los clientes.

The atmosphere is really nice with the live music, I will recomend this place to have drinks and some small plates to share!!

Entramos en este local, con expectativas bajas después de leer algunos comentarios, pero necesitábamos descansar y teníamos hambre. Nos atendieron rápidamente y nos subieron a la planta de arriba la cual tiene una bonita decoración. no se demoraron mucho en servir la comida. A pesar de ser comida rápida, estaba bastante bueno. Como puntos negativos, música latina bastante fuerte que para bailar está bien, pero para comer no ayuda, y las Coca Colas bastantes pequeñas, botellines de 20 cl.

Love the latin music and fun vibe. Have been a handful of times over the years and it's always been a good place to hang out when you are not ready to go home .

Llovía y hacía frío para comer en los puestos. Así que encontramos este lugar, perfecto para descansar, comer unas hamburguesas, tomar unas cervezas y continuar por Camden.

Stopped for a drink stayed and had several, happy hour great value, staff were excellent, drinks good, atmosphere excellent very enjoyable afternoon 😎

Estuve en marzo con mi pareja y este diciembre hemos vuelto con unos amigos y nos hemos llevado una decepción pues el lugar, aunque sigue pareciendo agradable, ha perdido su encanto y los camareros tampoco son tan amables y ya no tienen Guinness

Buen bar para pasar un rato agradable entre cervezas con amigos en el corazón de Camden Market. Tiene una terraza climatizada espectacular i los cócteles buenísimos. Ambiente explendido y música latina. Muy acogedor. Si accedes antes de las 9pm la entrada es gratuita luego es necesario pagar (tampoco puedo asegurar cuanto ya que accedí antes de las 9pm) Sin duda, repetiré!

You don't really want to feel unwell whilst braving the crowds of Camden Market and Camden Lock on an August weekend. So, finding The Cuban was a godsend. A place to just hang out in the afternoon, down a few beers, let the world pass by and listen to some superb music. Very chill. Very cool. - and friendly, helpful bar staff.

Shame on this place to have a picture of Che Guevara a well known assassin! No Cuban will be happy to see this.

Pasamos un tiempo estupendo en el bar cubano en camden, excelente servicio y un ambiente relajado, amable, nunca se sabe estar dentro que estaban en el mismo corazón de Londres, al norte. Increíble. lugar para comer y charlar, y se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que vaya de esa manera. .

Si vas por el Camden es obligación casi para a tomar algo en este espacioso y emblemático bar. Aconsejo tomar una cerveza con unos nachos por ejemplo. El personal no suele ser especialmente smable pero el sitio merece una visita

He estado allí dos veces y fue absolutamente maravilloso. La última vez que fui con dos amigos, nos sirvió un camarero encantador (desgraciadamente no recuerda su nombre). Tuvimos una experiencia estupenda, disfruté de todo el tiempo que pasé allí; cócteles eran geniales y yo realmente impresionado porque incluso si el lugar estaba bastante concurrido, ella nunca paró sonriente y prestando atención a nosotros. También tuvimos la chamce a aprender algo nuevo juntos (que será 52 y estaba delicioso!

Nice place. They took too much to take orders at the bar (only choice) and short list of beers. The rest excelent.

Took a long trip to Camden to dine at this restaurant. Firstly it's very hard to find, no street number because it's in a big market. I think they tried to create a Cuban decor but frankly it just looked run-down. One waitress was surviving the whole restaurant with a little help from what I assumed to be a manager. There were more people working behind the bar, yet there were at least 4 times more people at tables dining than were at the bar. Had to get up and get a menu myself from another table, then had to find the waitress to order drinks. When one of the drinks finally came we were told that there was no Guinness (and they didn't have many draught options at all). The food was bland, the chicken was seemingly not seasoned, just covered in some kind of sauce, which wasn't very tasty. Everything took too long to be served and not worth the wait. I love Caribbean food, this wasn't it. Very let down.

Excellent food and great mojitos! Friendly staff, good service and with happy hour from 4-8pm and 2for1 mojitos it was great value too!

been here twice, great food, friendly staff and a Cuban feel which is great. we've only eaten there on our way to other venues, but we really should go back and enjoy a full evening.

Waiting to check into my place, I decided to stop in for some drinks to kill some time. Our server could not understand me when I ordered vodka (I'm from Chicago) and for the rest of the stay she never returned to check if I needed any additional drinks. I ordered two more rounds and both were ordered at the bar. When I received tab, I was still charged a service fee. Not really sure if I received service (bartender aside). I would say this was on the bottom in terms of service I received during the trip

The Cuban is a good place so we choose to celebrate are friends birthday on 1st April there..We were sitting outside at the entrance right side on a wooden bench attached to table and enjoying are drinks. Around 1am a staff suddenly comes and asks us to get up, lifts the table and puts it aside.There is not much sitting arrangements inside.. We all were quite upset and we left to another club near by..After spending so much money we didn't expect dis..But still we wud want to visit again provided we are given compensation.. We were definitely not satisfied after spending so much..I hope the management considers are view..Kelly Fernandes..

We were served by a member of staff with an unfortunate attitude. I misunderstood the happy hour menu and received a dirty look which wasn't really called for. The wine included in happy hour (only £3.50 but still!) wasn't great and the cocktails (two for £9) were mainly syrup. I'd bought two wines and my friend had bought two cocktails, both transactions were paid by card. However when someone else arrived and tried to buy drinks we were told there was a minimum spend of £10 on card. We decided to leave at this point!

Been before, but wouldn't come back after my second visit... rude bar staff, with a debit card rule that changes when the mood takes them... served us twice with drinks with a price under ten pounds... when one of our party went to go and buy some more drinks under ten pounds and was told that the card limit was ten pounds.... we are off to find a better bar...

The staff kept getting our orders wrong on both the food and drinks. The cocktails were not very good, prices were expensive but I would expect that from central London. Had the pornstar martini and it didn't taste like one at all! They didn't put vanilla vodka in it which is the main ingredient! They only reason I gave them 3 stars is that the live music was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice.

Ordered two Original Mojitos which were average. I was put off by the fact that the bar man did not wash his hands after handling money and then proceeded to grab handfuls of sugar cubes and rub and crush the mint leaves before stuffing them in the glass. Yuck! Just a tip to the owner: don't put up a Che picture in a Cuban bar.

We went for dinner and dance for a birthday....some friends joined for dinks and dance afterwards. It was a fun night...the food music did not disappoint. Definitely if you want to have a less crowded atmosphere go to the top floor...it could get crowded.

Went to this latin club during a pub crawl and was a great vibe. Everyone there was dancing salsa and other latin dances really well. Really fun place!

Un lugar que tiene una carta de puros y no tienen ni la mitad de ellos, te lo dan en una servilleta, sin cortador, lo cortan con un cuchillo y si no lo quieres y has pagado no te devuelven el dinero 20 pounds por el puro y con ese servicio me parece una tomadura de pelo. De la música y el trato del personal mejor no hablar. Sitio muy poco recomendable

Expected more from what promised to be an excellent dining experience, just the food that let us down, I expect they are set up for quantity covers not quality, shame, great place but not for fine dining.

Delicious food, great service and of course perfect latino music. Me and my friends have spent amazing time celebrating my bday party. I highly recommend!

I went with my family to have a dinner on the second floor where the food was very expensive for that menu and presentation. Plus the service at the club downstairs of the waitress and the manager were very not polite and not friendly at all. I'm not going to come back again. Most of everything is the really bad service.

I went to visit Camden Town with my family and we wanted to have a beer so decided to stop in The Cuban. The place itself is ok and they offer different types of beer (which some of them were not available that day) and tapas, very small plates but expensive though. What I really didn't like was the waitress that served us, she was unfriendly and not very patient when my uncle, who does not speak English very well, tried to order his beer. I thought she was rude, not patient at all. To have just a drink is ok, but I don't recommend it to eat and be lucky not be served by that waitress.

The place is cool but the waitress's behavior was very annoying. Anybody can have a bad day but you don't have to show it to your customers.

Very busy when we arrived but the manager helped get us seated. Staff very friendly and the food was great.

I watched as I had a glass of my red wine pushed over me by a security guard as I was was supposedly too close to the DJ. No warning, no comment, nothing. I found out my my mistake by having my drink poured over my right leg. I am appalled that they've ruined my trousers with no remorse whatsoever. Will you be paying for my trousers to be dry cleaned? I'm sure not.

Visited here a while ago. Group of friends came for dinner here Saturday night, had reserved a table which was ready on arrival. Loud music and good atmosphere. We ordered drinks and then food. Good portions and quiet tasty. As we were there the bar area became very busy and a lot of people were dancing. Seemed like the a good party spot. Overall enjoyed the experience.

We walked in, we choose a table but then nobody came to us not even to bring the menu. It was absolutely not busy so it does not make sense. I am not the type that complains for nothing.Just they knew we sat there because they saw us and nothing happened. It was weird. So after 20 minutes I went to the bar to ask for a menu and a bored guy finally gave it. I have nothing special to say about the food because it was a simply regular english breakfast.

My friend has allergies and the waitress advised her a meal in which there were oignons (which she clearly said she was allergic to).. hopefully she saw just before biting in it! They then made her a plate for which she waited 45 additional minutes... and for which she had only a 50% discount...

It was a cold and dump day so we decided have meal there. We were a lot of time to get our meal after ordered and quuality and price is not comparative.

The place is nice, but according to where you seat, it can be very loud. We really know we are in a bar for touristes, because prices are very high compared to other places in London.

We called and they told us that they would not charge us the entrance fee and when we arreived they charged the cost. It is unacceptable

The place was already packed out as soon as we arrived which was around 10pm. Very nice bar, music mainly Latin/Spanish which was amazing, didn't stop dancing the whole night. Only downside was although the atmosphere was incredible, there were actually TOO many people in there. There was no room to move at all, or even breathe, we were packed like sardines Even the bar staff and security were pushing and shoving their way through and hardly got anywhere. In order to address this, they can actually move the DJ in a small booth by the bar maybe, and level the whole dance floor out so that there is more space. Or extend our towards the garden maybe? Anyway, entertainment can't be faulted at all, there were live dancers , drummers and a fantastic DJ. Will be returning for sure, just hoping they make a little more room!

Came here for dinner, the waitress was rude. Demanded we should pay £30.00 in service charge when they destroyed the birthday cake by cutting it up into pieces when we never asked for it! On top of that the security guard was rude and arrogant.. needs to seriously review their workers!

wir tranken dort einen Cocktail. Sehr ausgefallene Karte, sehr lecker. Personal war freundlich, aber etwas gestresst, es war Freitag Abend und eine Band baute gerade für ihren Auftritt auf. Ansonsten ist es so gestaltet, wie man sich eine Bar in Havanna vorstellen könnte.

Een gezellige pub ondanks dat het er erg groot is. Je besteld bij de bar en krijgt je eten aan tafel uitgeserveerd. De inrichting is divers, evenals het oubliek dat er komt. Leuk!

Nos gustó mucho este lugar que encontramos por casualidad ya que se puso a llover mientras pasábamos por Camden.. Nada mejor que tomarnos unas cañas para reponer fuerzas y esperar a que pasara el chaparrón. Pudimos utilizar su Wifi de forma gratuita y el personal muy agradable.

The whole atmosphere in the Cuban is great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is good and very tasty. Will go again..

The food and service was excellent, would definitely recommend. The restaurant has plenty of food for all appetites and they cater for vegetarians too. A good variety of cocktails and have happy hour 5-8pm where you get 2 cocktails for £10.

Had a great time every time we have visited. The place is busy and vibrant and the staff are niceOne criticism is on the third visit the groupon menu has been limited and tbh the food wasn't as good as usual. Still highly recommend the place but taking the chorizo, aubergine and whitebait off the deal was disappointing

Great place, went for dinner with my wife and another couple. Superb Tapas and great food. After dinner we went downstairs to the bar area and guess what there was a dance floor plus Salsa!!!!!Had a wonderful time.....

Una simpatica alternativa al tipico cibo britannico nel cuore di Camden. I sapori speziati e ben dosati nello stile caraibico in un ambiente che richiama atmosfere "calienti" lontane dalle nebbie londinesi sono piacevoli tanto quanto l'ormai noto "finger food" tanto usato a Londra.... Il tutto, ovviamente, accompagnato dalla fantastica Guinness! ;))

Best place to dance to Salsa beats in London, always have a great time here. People and staff are friendly and fun and drinks are well priced. Super selection of rums and amazing tunes to dance all night to. Friday and Saturday are great but Sunday's are amazing with live music (Latin/salsa beats). Would go every week if I could! :))

Excellent service...excellent atmosphere thank you. Polite staff, shame the toilets are outside and upstairs but they were very clean. Love to go in the evening for the entertainment

I cannot comment on other than bar service as I havent really sat there for dinner but I have been comming to Cuban for nearly seven years and it still has its great atmosphere. If you love dancing and latin beats you will not be dissapointed . Great place to go in the evening!

Amazing atmosphere ...u really feel you are in Cuba..and OMG they have a menu just with cigarrettes...which is awesome...the drinnks are delicious and the staff pretty friendly...

Food was passable and enough on the plate. Incredibly expensive beer. Served its purpose I suppose filled my belly and got rid of my christmas party hangover. Better than the other slop served from the Camden market stalls. But £5.60 a pint ???? Although Desperados on tap is a good call.

Amazing bar and great Cocktails as well as food, meeting new people, even dance classes to master Salsa. In Summer the terrace is fantastic.

The Stables market in Camden was crowded as always, and the Cuban was one of the few places to eat indoors this cold December day - so we entered without high expectations. Turned out, after a very long wait, out tapas collection was very nice!

Fantastic place, fantastic food, great service. Our waitress, I don't know her name but she has short blond curly hair was super. She was so friendly and helpful. It was so cold outside but the warm atmosphere helped us forget everything. Prices are reasonable. Would defiantly recommend

We were recommended this bar by a cabbie after an evening elsewhere. The atmosphere was friendly and lively and the standard of performers was something I'd happily pay money to see again. Perfect place to end a night out.

The bar is in the heart of Camden and is always busy with a great atmosphere. There is a huge range of cocktails on their menu and the daiquiris are particularly great. However, the service at the bar is so slow and when we received our food it was barely warm. Therefore I'd recommend it for a few drinks, if you have time on your hands, but not for food.

I love this place. It's a great place to escape the Camden madness. Food is really good and drinks are reasonable price. It's a really laid-back venue with a happy vibe. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic.

Large but cost corners in this old skill building. You have to order and pay at the bar, can be crowded and unclear who's standing in line because everyone stands next to each other.

Good dancing / bar and atmosphere, but TERRIBLE food and service. Do not eat here! I had a large table booked for a group of a dozen or so and we were all looking forward to a fantastic evening at the Cuban for a birthday meal and drinks.Firstly, extortionate prices for small portions of poor food. We expected prices to be fairly high but we thought that would be offset with large portions - how wrong we were! Just one example is two of us ordering the £17.50 full rack of ribs, and getting two tiny mini racks, about 4 inches long. After we complained we were told by the manager that it was all the ribs they had left. However if we hadnt of mentioned anything they would have still happily charged us for two full racks still! With regards to service, the waitress assigned to our table was unprofessional and extremely rude to the table, although we think she was just trying to be funny, shouting ‘Whaaaaat?’ at us when we just tried to get her attention by saying ‘excuse me’ over the loud music, is not the way to talk to paying guests.

Interesting building in the centre of Camden market a short walk from Camden station, has a lively atmosphere, good food and is close to all of the venues.

The music is very good, I really enjoyed the night, except for the security staff that is not very friendly and let go in too much people.I open my bag without problem to let see to the security staff than I haven't got any weapon with me, but why they let enter more people than a local of that dimension permits?What about security laws?Dear owners, you like money too much!!!

Fajna atmosfer i na tym bym chyba zakonczyl.Na Kubie nie bylem ale surowe wnetrze tego klubu mam nadzieje oddawalo klimat jaki tam panuje. Obsluga klubu chaotyczna. Ale jak ktos lubi Kubanskie rytmy to naprawde polecam. Moze w lecie tu zajze to bedzie fajniej, bo zima nie czulem tu goracych klimatow, jedyne co czulem to spocona obsloge.Pozdrawiam

I was at Camden during all day and night, The cuban is a good bar if you wanna to drink a beer or a cocktail.
