Probably the best Steak & Ale pie I have ever had. My wife had the gammon which was perfectly cooked. A proper old pub with very friendly staff. Thanks.

My husband and I who are visitors to the area had wonderful meals. Both meals under £10 and my husband said it was the best beef steak & ale pie he has ever had!!!!! Big portions and homemade. The locals are a friendly bunch too. Our dog was also welcome…. there’s dog treats and water available! This is a real old traditional pub that deserves a high rating!

The food was good and our party of nine enjoyed it. All the food came up together and was hot. The food did take a long time to come, but the chef was alone and the waiting was forgotten when we started eating. Unfortunately I have marked the visit down as a number of the drinks and all the starters were not available. The steak and ale pie was very tasty.

Mrs Tiddler and I visited with friends for Sunday lunch. It is so nice to see a traditional village pub that hasn't been 'modernised' beyond recognition. Couldn't fault the place. The welcome was warm the locals were welcoming and chatty and the food was excellent. Will be back.

Visited what is our local for the first time and received a warm welcome, both from Cas and from the regulars. We had two good steaks, two deserts and a bottle of red all for £60. We intend going again to try the much recommended steak and ale pie with a pint of real ale.

I stayed in Tydd st Giles for 4 weekends while my wife was house sitting. I do like a drink or two and enjoy socialising. I got my torch out on the first Friday night and walked down to the pub.The pub has a good range of food and drinks Inc guest Ales the barmaid Kaz was very pleasant also the landlord Mick. While I was there I took my family to dinner we all had a very nice meal.I especially enjoyed my steak and ale pie homemade by Mick. The locals made me very welcome I got on very well especially with the old time local scooter club who meet up there. Had some laughs.I found the gentlemans toilet walls very amusing and worth a visit. Overall this is a fantastic friendly pub and will be coming back in the new year I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Very entertaining landlord, Roger. Excellent beer, cider and food - very generous helpings and all freshly cooked. From the upstairs balcony there is an excellent view of the surrounding countryside and River Ouse. Well worth a visit and excellent value for money.

Moved to Tydd St Giles recently and was delighted to find such a lovely village pub. Friendly locals, great ales, and extensive food menu. The Steak and Ale pie has become a particular favourite of mine already. Hats off to Mick the landlord who makes these himself using his secret recipe!

We had Sunday lunch here and it's a lovely pub. Great menu, delicious food and friendly staff too. Portions are enormous and the lovely waitress arranged doggy bags for us which was a really nice touch. If you've not been then treat yourself and go. Well worth it.

I love this pub. It's a traditional old pub that serves good 'guest' beers. There is an extensive menu with good pub grub. It is a friendly place with mostly locals. A curry git on Wednesday is proving popular.
