The Crown and Anchor in Bromley

The Manager of this pub is very rude and aggressive. I had a booking for 14/12/2024 and the Manager, Martin Lloyd, sent me a very rude e-mail insisting that I contact the pub. He lied in that e-mail and said that he'd sent me some e-mails to chase my booking - I never received these e-mails so basically those e-mails don't exist. The pub was very disorganised regarding my booking, including their failure to take my mobile number down or take my deposit - even when I willingly offered to pay the deposit straightaway. Martin refused to take any responsibility for this complete fiasco and as soon as I politely asked him to prove that he'd sent me the e-mails he cancelled our booking, even though at that point I'd said that we wanted to come in for lunch on 14/12/2024. I suspect that he cancelled our booking because he wanted to accommodate a bigger group. His customer service skills are absolutely appalling. He rather rudely said that we could still come in on 14/12/2024, using a very rude and aggressive and dismissive tone, but I politely declined and I told him that I don't want to come in now because of his behaviour.

Had my sons birthday party here last night, could not fault it in anyway. Staff and Tracy and Martin were all amazing, the bar, party area and garden are Stunning, everyone Commented how lovely it was in there. Been here many times for drinks, lunch, quiz, so seemed ideal for our party, and it was spot on thanks guys 😘

I had a wonderful experience last night at the Crown and Anchor. This is the second year in a row that my firm has chosen to have our team Christmas dinner here and it was no surprise that we returned back! From the cosy comfortable feeling you get as soon as you walk into the country style pub to the excellent service with a smile to the nicely decorated back room we were given for our fairly large party, I can say we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Kudos to the chef and staff for being so attentive to all of us and special thanks for the delicious three course meal!! Every dish was amazing! We will definitely be paying a third visit for our next Christmas dinner! The experience really was a winner! :)

Visited for an evening and had some food. Have to say the choice was lovely and the food such good quality and really reasonably priced. Bar staff friendly and owner so nice as well. Will definitely be back.
