I'd been to Worcester many times, under duress, I must stress. Dragged there kicking and screaming by in-laws every time we strayed within ten miles of the place because, you know, we we had to. Worcester is quite well-to-do and the in-laws really weren't. The Hyacinth Bucket principle lives on and I came to loathe the place with a burning passion. Shame really, it's a lovely City. Now, many years post divorce and happily married once again, we ventured to the The Crown as we passed through Worcester on our way to Wales. It was time for a morning feed and two traditional breakfasts had our name on them. The pub at 8am was quiet, clean, welcoming and the staff were genuinely friendly too. It's a Wetherspoons pub and so we knew what was coming and we weren't disappointed. All the usual suspects were on the plate as expected. Two red hot and almost painful to eat hash browns stood guard over tepid bacon and a an almost hot sausage. Warm toast formed a flood barrier protecting the feast from the baked beans that had been microwaved to an acceptable temperature whilst gathering a thin sin on the sauce. That and a couple of coffees set us up for the day and we headed off to Tenby fed and watered. Recommended and Worcester really is a very nice City. Just leave your past behind...

Great food , excellent value for money. As with all weatherspoons, shame the service lets the good reputation of weatherspoons down, waited over 25 min for food ,which is a long time compared with most spoons, Food just warm, tables not cleared, additional drinks order a long time In coming we had already drunk ours when it did arrive. Yet pub no busy at all Very disappointing.

The pub itself is nice but it’s always very understaffed. It’s common to be waiting half an hour for your drink to come to your table when it’s not particularly busy. The staff are all lovely but they seem poorly trained as they’ll forget stuff, give you the wrong drinks and seem to forget where the tables are

Myself and my mom had a lovely meal here, fish, chips & mushy peas- not something we would usually get at a Wetherspoons but we fancied a change and it was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be having the fish and chips again. Very yum (considering it’s not something I would usually eat).

The menu is extensive and the food is very good coming in reasonable portions. The service is awful with no attempt to provide even the most basic level of customer service. It takes ages to get a drink, food takes longer so we didn't bother with dessert. The food arrived in dribs and drabs so there was no sense of eating together. The restaurant insists that you pay upfront and even tries to get a tip on top of the service charge they levy for non existent service. They remove the dishes as soon as they can. I had to stop them taking two we hadn't finished. They even count the cutlery! I won't be risking a second visit.

We encountered some of the worst service we’d had in ages. We mentioned to one member of staff the coffee machine was broken. He responded with attitude saying “that’s not my problem why are you telling me about that”. Honestly your recruitment really needs to be looked at. The food we had looked nice however it was cold. As we’d encountered such rude staff we just ate it without anything else ruining our visit. If you haven’t got a kitchen manager overseeing the quality of the food no wonder the food is as rubbish as the service

A further 10 minutes had gone by and I had got up to ask for a refund, another 10 minutes had gone by before someone assisted me with refund. A total of 40 minutes and all we ordered was 2 Desperados, 1 sanpellagrino and a Guinness, it wasn’t even complex drinks.
