The Crown in Flintshire

This was our first visit and we had a very pleasant evening. One of our group has dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free). The staff were very attentive and helpful, checking the dishes chosen were suitable and safe. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Excellent service. We will definitely go back there.

Came here with visiting friends. Good choice. We all enjoyed our meals, and thought our main courses were exceptional. Delivered in a welcoming atmosphere with good service. We will be returning.

Just returned from our Sunday Lunch at the Crown Inn we enjoyed delicious hot meals served quickly and professionally servers very attentive and helpful. Will definitely go back. Facilities excellent and nicely decorated. Would recommend it and advise you to book to ensure you get a table.

Hi we visited the crown on Wednesday 25th Sept, we just went in for drinks with a view to book a family meal, we were told if we were not eating there was a seating area at the back of the pub, there were approx 3 tables being used in the main area. We went to the area indicated, which was a lean too at the back of the pub, this area was freezing cold, I had to put the little fire on the wall on to try and get warm. I could understand if they were full with diners, they weren’t. Needless to say we will not be going back for a family meal !!!!!! I feel that because we were not eating, we were not welcome.

What a treat! Great menu with food quality to match and a fabulous team to bring it all together. Will visit again next time we visit the area ❤️

Wonderful food in a village pub, friendly staff, excellent value too and a wonderful menu. Make sure you book in advance as this little gem is real find.

The most delicious Sunday lunch I have had when eating out. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere with great golden oldie tunes playing. Would highly recommend.

Shown straight to the table on arrival & offered water. Opted for the Sunday luch. I had beef, partner had lamb with extra roast potatoes. Oh was he sorry..they weren't needed! Excellent meal, included stwch, cabbage & carrots. Along with mash roasties & a slice of parsnip. Well done to the girls waiting on, I asked for more gravy & she asked what meat I'd had ensuring I had the correct grav :) Didn't catch her name but she had blonde hair tied back and was looking after the tables by the kitchen door. Partner had sticky toffee pudding..nothing left on his plate lol superb. 100% better tgan the Druids Gorsedd. Well done everyone x

Amazing food and warm welcome from the manageress when we walked in. Our amazing waiter will didn't mess anything up. and the chef, bravo!

Fabulous choice of menu, the food was delicious for all 4 of us visiting and we will definitely return. The service was also excellent.

Called in at the end of a day's (very muddy) hiking and were met by very friendly staff and lovely food! Service excellent.

Lovely pub. Family and dog friendly. We visited as a family of 4 with two kids. The lady behind the bar and taking the orders was so friendly. They even do a menu for dogs.and whe. When we sat down we got brought a doggy water bowl with fresh bottled water and a treat jar, our little staffy was very happy. Food was really nice, especially the burgers and prices really reasonable. Good food menu and plenty of choice for drinks/wine/beer/lager.... large car park at rear too. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend 👌😊

Took my wife for valentines , the food was amazing . Everything cooked to perfection and tasted lovely , staff are extremely friendly and very efficient. High recommend .

We went to try there Sunday lunch which was voted the best in Flintshire. Our first impresions there were several dogs in the resturant where people were eating which we didnt like, the service was slow but they did offer a free drink for the wait. I had the trio of meats of which the beef and the lamb were tough I must say the sweets were very nice sorry to say we wont be going back

The food was fantastic and staff were very welcoming we came for the burger offer can honestly say it won’t be our last visit the food was very tasty great atmosphere and staff were brilliant

Went with friends in November and the food was of such a high quality that we went again in December. Top- restaurant standards. We all felt that every course was perfect. The service was also faultless.

This pub / restaurant has to be the best place to eat and drink we have been to in the last 20 years the food is always excellent the patron and all staff could not be anymore welcoming highly recommend to everyone

First time of visiting, this is a fabulous place with outstanding food. Decorated in a charming festive theme we thoroughly enjoyed our choice from an excellent menu. The food was prompt, hot, well presented and the staff very friendly and attentive. Planning our next visit soon. Thank you The Crown see you soon.

1st visit here, but it won’t be my last. We had a lovely Sunday Dinner, it was a good size and the veg was fresh. Excellent service. There is also a nice beer garden at the back for a sunny day.

Sunday lunch was excellent, I was surprised to see that a smaller portion was on the menu which was great for my husband and I .very good service, staff friendly and helpful, Ample car parking. Dog friendly. I would recommend that you book. I would certainly recommend.

We were in the area for a family holiday and booked last minute (I think we were quite fortunate to get a table). Family of 3 with a 5 year old. We were greeted and taken to the table. They gave our son a children’s menu and colouring sheet which kept him entertained. Lovely choice of options. We had a couple of vegetarian options which felt made for purpose rather than for the sake of it. All the food was incredible including Eton mess and homemade cheesecake. What I loved about the place is nothing felt overpriced. Some places feel like they just chuck another £4-5 on the price of something and it leaves you feeling disappointed, no chance here. Would 100% recommend, call to book though.

Yet again another brilliant meal. Very reasonably priced for fresh, locally sourced food. Great traditional pub in a beautiful setting, just inside an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We are not being biased because it is our local...BUT..booked a table again last night and as usual the food went beyond expectations Debbie and her team has done a fantastic job of matching the right balance of superb food to suit ALL tastes.....and keeping the prices at a realistic "Damn good pub grub" price...We have eaten many times here and will continue to do so....The food is absolutely perfect...With selected special nights throughout the week....makes it the perfect place to pop along to and enjoy anytime...Neil's homemade specialities are superb..not enough people realise what eaxctly is homemade...just ask....and once you have been to try them, we are sure you will return......Nothing is too much trouble here, atmosphere is right, staff are very attentative to the right degree....all in all it ticks all our boxes....A pub that welcomes all and somewhere to take friends/family for a super meal.... well done Debbie and all your team....
