The Crown in Lichfield

Super food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. What’s not to like?! Four of us had a very enjoyable evening and would thoroughly recommend The Crown.

Found this adorable pub by chance while visiting the Arboretum in the area, so pleased we did, staff were very obliging, despite being busy they managed to find us a table, the food was lovely, we had the special chicken burger and Fish & chips, then the crumble and bread /butter pudding, great food , ambience etc highly recommend. Thank you for making our day.

After a long and tiring day at Drayton Manor, 2 adults and 3 kids, we needed somewhere to eat close to our Premier Inn and after a quick Google we decided to try The Crown and booked a table online. On arrival we were warmly greeted and taken to our booked table, I’d asked for 4 instead of 5 but this wasn’t a problem and we were relocated with no fuss. The 3 kids had fish and chips with several variations and the adults had the venison special, all plates were clean, absolutely delicious. From start to finish we were served by a delightful lady who was warm, friendly and efficient, a real credit to the establishment. Ambiance was also lovely, dog friendly and a nice buzz to the place. A really great find, we will definitely return if in the area again.

Went for a drink after walk. They have the fanciest toilets ever seen. Beer garden is ok. Didn’t try food. Not too bad. Seems ok.

Myself and 40 friends had a superb time with lovely and wonderful service, considering the large number of meals it was excellent value and recommend it.

Just called in and found a lovely friendly reception (Sarah) and a great food menu. Service was excellent and the food met all expectations. All public areas were spotlessly clean. A true village pub that deserves to succeed. I'll return when I'm in the area!

Place used to be our local, 4 1/2 years ago it was amazing it had a great team, great food, great cocktails very classy you couldn’t get a table without booking it was always so busy! NOW it’s disgusting! No one in there, not seen one single person eating on the 2 occasion iv been since, to be honest it smells like drains and old cooking oilI wouldn’t want to eat here so I think it’s lost ALOT of regulars.. shame it was so lovely! Ordered cold drinks at the bar with my sister and our little children one hot day. Lady behind bar was miserable no smile, no warm welcome even when myself and sister where joking about she didn’t join in! If your running a bar you should look presentable, be warm and friendly and polite at least! Outdoor area such a waste shabby furniture need to be skipped.. big screen up “obviously when World Cup was on” but not safe thought it would fall on the children, this would be a great play area for small children it needs TLC big time! We won’t return here again!Thankfully the George has been refurbished and there very welcoming!! Food is amazing for pub grub and brilliant prices! Also friendly to children!

This pub had started serving food 5 days prior to our meal. The choice was small, but the steaks were very good. The staff were lovely.

Just finished eating a beaut Sunday dinner. Everything cooked just how I like it. Hubby had gammon and I had beef, both lovely and tender. Veg nice and crisp. Didn't have a dessert as too full after dinner. Staff all polite and helpful and came to check everything was OK.

Have given this pub the benefit of the doubt for months now - for the last time - went for lunch with 10 other people it was absolutely awful - my lunch went back twice and I didn't pay most of the rest of the party only paid half price - mash, carrots and peas were cold first pie was cold inside as was the gravy - the service was very disjointed - never again

First visit and so, so impressed! Super friendly, helpful service and good value. Great Sunday Lunch x 3 roast beef and Yorkshire Puds, x 1 roast lamb + x 1 children's fish goujons. Followed by 2 x ice cream, 1 x Berry Triffle, 1 x rhubarb crumble & custard and 1 rice pudding. Will be back next time in Wychnor! Made to feel very welcome, thank you so much!

Decided to call in for lunch it being the nearest pub to the canal. Great ambience and welcoming staff. There was a beer on I did not recognise and on enquiring was given a sample to try - well kept and just what I wanted. We both had the two course £9.95 lunch. Excellent value - the starter was almost main course size so much so that my wife couldn't finish hers. Will return.

We were a party of more than 30 people who had been to the National Memorial Arboretum for the Dedication of the Townswomen's Guilds Memorial.

Wonderful mid week evening out with friends. Absolutely delicious food. We had breaded mushrooms which were fresh and hot, a sharer platter of nachos which could have been a main course and was delish! Lasagne, chilli con carne and pie for mains all of which were just delicious.. To the point where decided to go again that Friday! Once again amazing food that didn't disappoint. Always have to book as very busy. Beautiful pub, nice modern decor, clean toilets and friendly fast service. Thank you guys for your hospitality.. We were the ones in the cowboy hats!

Lovely service and great food - the steak was first class while the locally sourced Lamb pie was delicious (so the wife tells me). The landlady was really accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We will return

We ate here as a family, but sadly it was far from what we expected/hoped it to be. Between us we tried the breaded mushrooms, spicy chicken wings, lamb roast, lasagne, kids fish, sticky toffee pudding and fudge cake. It was all of a pretty basic standard. Roast consisted of 1 slice of lamb, 2 roast potatos, a small frozen yorkshire pudding and a bit of frozen veg, no where near worth the £8.50 charge. The lasagne, chips, garlic bread, breaded mushrooms and chicken wings were all frozen too, sadly, and the puddings were wholesale too. The serving staff were friendly, but seemed a bit out of their depth trying to avoid disappointed faces, questions about the long waits and asking why the plates were going back half full. We overheard a couple of tables complaining, so this really wasnt just us being picky. Hate being so negative, but there really was very little to be positive about.

I admit to being nervous having booked a table for 8 before reading the reviews on tripadvisor, however I can report that all was well. The staff were friendly and helpful - excellent draught cider and good beer. The food arrived promptly and all 8 meals arrived at the same time. All were hot and the portions were good. The pie and mash was highly recommended and prompted a visit to the local butcher on our way home later in the week. Good atmosphere with a live band playing later in the evening. We will return when next in the area.

Second time here today and it will be our last. Service at the bar was painfully slow and that set the theme for the rest of the afternoon. Ordered food which took 45 mins to arrive. As a group of 6 we all thought the same, food very poor. I thought the lasagne was frozen and microwaved. Pudding took another 40 mins after chasing the staff - the staffs response was "that he was sorry, food orders often get lost" if you know that fix it! It finally arrived and it was extremely poor. Microwaved apple pie and chocolate cake! To top it off, no spoons - they hadn't cleaned them so ran out. Go elsewhere and save your money as this place can even ruin ready made pub grub!

If you want to gauge a pub go for the fish and chips. Should be a no brainier, but if it doesn't specify the fish then you're on a loser to start with. 'Cos what you'll get is a cheap slice of freshwater, usually Asian, freshwater excuse for a decent piece of cod or haddock.

Fabulous meal! Recommend the pie and mash which appears to be an new addition to the menu - it was fabulous. Also the lamb shank was delicious. Reasonably priced too. Thank you!

Wanted to try it out as we live local and noticed it has been refurbished. Food wasn't too bad, but they had run out of a few dishes we wanted. Also, ran out of dips (sour cream and salsa) for nachos and didn't bother telling us until we mentioned it. Ordered pork curry and got beef. Rib eye steak was very fatty and like warm, and the mushrooms were raw. Salad with Hunters Chicken was saturated with vinaigrette. Curry sauce tasted like it was from a packet. Finally, got bill wrong. Won't be going back as there are much better quality pubs near.

Arrived around 6.30pm with friends (7 in total). The pub wasn’t too busy and the bar staff took our order for drinks at the table.

The last meal we had here was very poor, and speaking to friends it hasn't got any better. We love the crown and want to come and enjoy a meal in our local and we really want it to a success . Please get someone experienced in the kitchen and please please change those awful chips, we want to come back

Hemos estado yendo a la corona en los últimos años y tenía algunas maravillosas comidas allí, esta tarde decidimos ir y celebrar nuestra boda y nuestros hijos más jóvenes mayores hijo de entrar en el pueblo de alrewas. obviamente ha sido un cambio de personal, ya que la comida era horrible. nuestra entrada de sopa de repollo estaba en comestible y la carne en su plato principal era difícil. Una pena, ya que nos encanta este pub espero que regresa a sus buenas maneras. Nos invitaron a la comida de nuestro hijo y cuando fue a pagar la factura que habían cobrado de más de 50 libras! Pronto aclararon pero la directora había dejado de ir a las tiendas!

El personal es muy amable. Mala comida, aperitivos estaban bien, pero los principales eran muy malas. Tuve el chili con patatas fritas y arroz. Era todo calor y chili no arroz sabor estaba frío y patatas fritas sin duda no caseros. Otra comida era lasaña con ensalada y pan de ajo. Después de una cacería para la Misa del gallo encontramos una pequeña cantidad en la parte inferior, ensalada consistía en hojas mixtas y eso fue todo. Las patatas fritas caseras, pedimos horrible.

Mi amigo y yo hemos estado yendo a la Corona para el último par de años sobre una base semanal, y nos hemos dado cuenta ya de la Debbie ha tomado ahora el buen servicio que están recibiendo. Después de hablar con ella hoy debo elogiar su excelente servicio y amabilidad a sus clientes. Gracias por una excelente comida.

Pasó por la Corona en la oportunidad que aún sirve comida esta tarde después de un largo paseo por el canal, que eran! Tienen una gran variedad de cervezas y de tonel que mi compañero me encantó especialmente un local de ale Reyes Bromley, vinos también fueron muy satisfactorios. Para la comida tenían un especial de lubina servida con risotto, que estaba muy bien presentado y un sabor delicioso, mi pareja también de acuerdo con su 20 oz parrillada mixta. Me pareció que este pub tenía una atmósfera encantadora y amable y atento personal con servicio rápido. Sin duda llamar si pasar y se lo recomendaría a amigos y familiares.

The pub atmosphere was fantastic, all staff were very friendly and welcoming the food was fantastic I had the hunters chicken which was delicious plenty of cheese and BBQ sauce would definitely recommend you to try it.

We came back after a good visit last time we went to the arboritum. This visit was average in everything except the lager. A lovely pint of Estella.

La visita de un jueves por la noche. El servicio era muy lento aunque el pub dis no aparezca demasiado lleno. Nos llevó como una hora de poner nuestra pedir comida a ser servido. El personal era atento y joven no parecía más interesado en charlar a los otros. La comida estaba bien, pero nada especial.

Fui hace dos días, tuve un curry de carne y la carne era incomible, mi colega hunter pollo que era insípida. La cerveza está bien. Volver hoy he comido en otro sitio, y orgullo de londres que ordenados fullers salió nublado, parecía en la bomba después y estaba apagado y la directora/casera no podía ser molestado en decirnos. 9 o/reloj el lugar estaba casi vaciando, habría estado bien si la señora que lleva el sitio bajamos su taburete e interactuar con los clientes. No vayas! !

Metimos en para el almuerzo y dos chicos saludó amable detrás de la barra, pero fuimos cuesta abajo desde allí. Otra mesa comiendo pero tomó 35 minutos para empezar fácil llegar, paté de champiñones empanadas estaba bien, pero eran en su mayoría del tamaño de un malteaser. Principales tomó otro 30 minutos y mi hígado estaba seco, mezclado con el mismo cebollas caramelised que habían servido con paté de entrante, servido con una taza de sosa salsa que azar no guardaban relación con el hígado. Las patatas fritas eran recooked y marrón. Mi cobra la cerveza estaba caliente. Cambiaron hígado con un bistec, pero eso fue servido con champiñones secos y una cucharada de guisantes secos en un diminuto ramikin. No estaba seco con carne succulence

La última vez que fuimos hace unos meses la comida no era bueno y el personal era grosero.

Cuatro de nosotros comimos en el pub en una noche de sábado sobre 7. 30:00 h.

Visitamos el Crown Inn a la hora de apertura 12. 00:00 el domingo. Fuimos los primeros en el pub y eran simplemente se miraban en el personal, encontramos un asiento y todavía no ayuda. Fui hasta el bar y nos preguntó si podíamos pedir comida, ya que no estaba claro si estaban sirviendo comida en absoluto. Me dijeron que sólo sirve cenas asado los domingos, así que pedimos dos. Tomó alrededor de 30 minutos para conseguir la comida, cuando llegamos, ridículamente pequeñas raciones en un plato enorme. dos patatas asadas, puré algunos y dos rodajas de Turquía. Verduras vino en otro bowl, este consistía en col, brócoli y zanahorias. La comida podría haber sido más cálido pero era comestible. Un pub bien presentado aunque, limpia y encantadora ubicación, sólo necesitan mejorar la comida y el servicio.

Nuestra noche fue arruinado por la comida y el servicio era indiferente incluso peor. Nuestras comidas nos sirven casi frío y fueron enviados de vuelta sólo para ser devuelto después de ser nuked en el microondas. En Arrved 13:45. Pedir comida para una familia de cuatro, pero terminamos saliendo a las 14:50 cuando la comida aún no habían llegado después de 55 minutos, ya que tenía que estar en algún lugar. Pub estaba muy tranquilo y sólo vimos otros 3 pedidos de venir en ese tiempo. Nos dijeron dos veces fue simplemente estar bañados, pero claramente no lo era. Quizás vale información al cliente ¿cuánto tiempo el esperar por la comida es cuando ordene en el futuro. Los niños estaban muy decepcionados, así que tuve que hacer en coche a través de MCDONALD'S en camino a casa. Pub buena pinta desde fuera y también por dentro, pero el perro de pelo en todo.

Los nachos (compartiendo parte) era bueno, pero no lo suficientemente minúsculo, para nadie y menos dos. Luego esperamos 55 minutos para la principal, tenía un burger, que sabe como un microondas burger, la esposa tenía el pescado y las patatas fritas, el pescado era incomible, ya que estaba saturado de grasa. En nuestro grupo de 10, que no trajeran nuestras comidas en el mismo tiempo, algunos eran casi terminada cuando otros estaban empezando. El personal mesa parecía desinteresado y no había en ellos el punto de gestión en la dirección correcta. Cuando preguntamos nos dijeron que la comida no era la mejor para que el miembro del personal respondió, 'hemos estado muy ocupados".

New management appear to have addressed the problems of the previous regime. Good range of beers although a bit on the expensive side and whilst the food menu is a tad limited it is of a good quality. A pleasure to visit once again

Todos hemos sido sometido a algunos puntos muy bajos en la corona en el último par de años. También conscientes de uno o dos temas desde la adquisición hace unas pocas semanas. Sin embargo estoy contento de informar que la comida es mejor que nunca, grub, pero pub básico a un nivel muy bueno. Exclusivamente para la corona, una lista de vinos, y el servicio era ejemplar. Después de trabajar con un salto en mi otra mitad y fascinados con la nueva reforma la decoración es la elevación y una auténtica ventaja para el pueblo ahora. La comida llegó en buen tiempo y sabía tan bien como fue presentada. El personal era amable y aunque admito que obviamente recientemente remodelado el área de bar y zona de estar wc estaban frescas limpias y ordenadas se frecuentando regularmente si estos elevados sean acatadas.

Acabamos de tener el almuerzo aquí y nos trajimos a nuestros 2 perros, nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y ambos perros dieron delicias. La comida estaba bien y una porción decente y nos fuimos con una sensación completa, agradable pub local con una atmósfera amable hospitalaria.

Me he mudado al pueblo recientemente y en 4 meses y esta noche es la octava vez que he llevado el alcohol. Estaba pensando en llevar 15 personas mañana para el cumpleaños de mi novio y no tienen grandes, no sidra, de cervezas también. Así que no será procedente. Una pena, podría ser un encantador local pero María realmente no importa! Can't understand the good reviews unless we got an off day. Limited menu, of the 2 veggie options one "did not come on the delivery" according to waitress, so only one option available. My friend just chose to not eat.

Fuimos allí para la oficina de la comida de Navidad hoy y muy contento por el ambiente en el pub, muy bien decorado y acogedor. El servicio fue rápido y las porciones eran grandes, más casera en sabor que nada pre-hecho y calentada en un microondas. Después de una copa de vino, cada uno con la cena y budín de Navidad de darse un chapuzón bien en mantequilla con crema de brandy fundido, seguido de un whiskey irlandés, que tenía más whiskey de café que están ligeramente squiffy, rellenos completos y muy contentos con nuestra elección de lugar.

We attended the crown in Alrewas and were greeted by a lovely lady called sarah we had booked in for the festive menu there was a great choice I had the turkey which was fantastic our waitress lil was very comical the setting was beautiful there was a great festive atmosphere and the tables were set up with crackers etc there had been some real thought on to delivering a great Christmas experience, the food was outstanding and we were visiting family in Burton on Trent from Durham and called in to the crown, I would highly recommend it and sarah who is the manager is an absolute star this establishment are very lucky to have somebody with such passion and enthusiasm to create a wonderful experience. We will be returning thanks again and happy Christmas.

Estancia en wychnor park, decidimos ir de paseo a Alrewas (unas 3 millas de ida y vuelta). Nos encontramos con este pequeño pub que sirve comida desde el mediodía en adelante. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida del personal. Buena selección de cervezas y sidras. Gran gluten opciones gratis para mi hija, incluyendo delicioso pescado y patatas fritas. Precios razonables para todos los presupuestos y productos locales. Buena comida casera. Nos gustó tanto que volvimos otro día durante las vacaciones y tuvimos otra comida agradable. Mi hija también a la lactosa y que a menudo no hay opción de postre para ella. Incluso tenían sorbete. Altamente recomendado.

The sign on the pub said that it was open all day for food. We called in at 3:10 pm -only to be told that the kitchen was closed. This is inconsiderate towards customers.

Visité el Crown Inn la última noche y tuvimos una noche increíble. "Las Mujeres Noche" fue muy divertido y había sido extremadamente bien organizado por Sarah, el entretenimiento y la comida era excelente, junto con el servicio y el personal. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomendaría a otros.

No he estado durante un mes o dos y parece que ha sido un cambio completo de personal.

Hemos comido antes y estaba bien. Esta vez creo un nuevo chef había empezado y había sin duda una mejora pero aún me siento podría mejorar. Mi bife de costilla era buena; tierna y bien preparado a medio raro. La salsa de pimienta pedí ir con era principalmente una jarra de crema caliente con un ligero sabor a pimienta pero sin calefacción. Salsa de pimienta por su nombre debería ser especiado y este no estaba para nada cerca de cómo debería ser. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran bastante aburrido y estoy seguro podría ser más esfuerzo para mejorar la calidad de la masa. En el lado positivo, la cervezas están bien cuidados y para un viernes temprano en la noche (6 pm) el lugar estaba lleno de gente así que sin duda un punto allí por lo que parece ser un popular pub Village

I have been living in the village for 4 years now and more recently having great food. It helps with friendly and fun staff most notably Lilly and Becky and thanks for providing a great local pub !

We were travelling back from Cornwall and decided to go to the memorial arboretum and see it as we have never been before and we found this little gem of a pub, I had the cottage pie and my wife had the back bacon burger which was fantastic lovely home cooked food and what was even better was the new chef Carl came out and chatted to us and the manager sarah was great provided efficient service and was really chatty and friendly, really enjoyed our lunch. Would definitely return and recommend.

Llegamos y comimos una comida buena, algo casi de un pub sentir al lugar pero gastro están corriendo con tristemente una agencia como la suya izquierda chef. Un chico muy agradable que salió un conversó con nosotros. El menú es como consecuencia un poco en el aire por así decirlo, como están tratando de sentir la manera en que atrae a medida en un tiempo difícil, obviamente. No puedo decir que no vale la pena probar la gente era, con mucho, la mejor comida que tuvimos en la zona de más de 4 días, no es lo que esperábamos. Visited during the festival week, service was slow and un interested and food had to be sent back, cold partly cooked, then had to wait so long for pudding that we ended up not bothering, could be an amazing little gem, but no one seems interested in the customer or serving decent food, sorry won't be back

La comida es de buena calidad, el personal era amable, la comida llegó rápidamente y recién preparado, precios justos... Desgraciadamente no hay opción vegetariana para desierto pero en general un buen lugar para comer. El personal era un poco extraño, aunque no podía poner mi dedo en bastante. De cualquier manera, si quieres comida de buena calidad, este lugar es decente.

Nos lo habían recomendado por muchos aficionados en el canal, así que organizamos para reunirse con amigos para comer. Sólo había un máximo de 20 personas allí pero todavía esperamos más de una hora para 4 sándwiches. Tuvimos que perseguir el servicio dos veces para finalmente recibir nuestra comida y era pobre. El tocino graso, no había limón mayonesa con el pescado y el jamón ensalada a mi marido del estómago. Nos sentamos fuera, ya que era un día muy bien, pero fuimos al pub para consultar el servicio pobre y de baja calidad, pero la comida no había nadie detrás de la barra. Espantoso y pena por ti.

Having visited "The Crown" on previous occasions, we decided to pop on August Bank Holiday Monday for a sandwich & drink, lovely day we sat in the gardens which we thought were looking a bit unkept, however it wasn't overly busy so I went to order a sandwich and was told it would be a 50 minute wait. A gentlemen next to me also wanted to order food for his family and was told the same so we both decided to leave it. That was probably a £50 bill turned away.I felt the place lacked management and seemed to be being run by staff that couldnt care less, it's such a shame as we have eaten here evenings and lunchtimes and the place seems to have just gone downhill since our last visits.

Nos pusieron una reserva para su habitación lanza en persona hace 4 semanas que no tenían constancia de la habitación y fue llevado a nuestra llegada. Mientras hablábamos de esto con el gerente que lo oyó otro huésped que había reservado esta mañana que perdieron eso también.

Mi esposa llamó con antelación para reservar una mesa para celebrar mi cumpleaños. Ella también necesitaba preguntar que podrían servir para ella como ella sigue una dieta vegetariana, el chef habló dijo que no era un problema que había al menos dos elementos en el menú adecuado para veganos y otros que podría ser fácilmente adaptado. Llegamos a tiempo para nuestra mesa reservada y nos dijeron que no estaban completos, pero que podrían encontrar una mesa. El personal era amable y se disculpó constantemente que la reserva no hubiera sido escrito en la agenda. Buscando en el menú no había nada allí para veganos y nos dijeron que era muy disculpándome porque el festival comenzó hoy y habían sido ocupados así reducido el menú. Cuando nos dijeron de la anterior llamada nos dijeron que un vegano burger estaba disponible. Lo siento de nuevo. 20 minutos después de pedir un plato de sopa llegamos, estaba muy sabroso. Poco después, dos de los tres principales campos llegó el vegetariano burger que faltaba. El huevo frito que acompañan la carne estaba tan mal preparado sobresaliente que no podía comer. Un reemplazo llegó después de terminado el resto de la comida. El hongo stroganoff fue muy buena. La hamburguesa llegó después de haber señalado que habíamos estado esperando un tiempo considerable. Cuando llegó mi esposa tuvo que pregunta si ella había sido servido el plato de la derecha, lo que acabó siendo una especie de patata de haberte ido y verduras empanadas revestido de miga de pan colocados en una pelea. Tras una nueva investigación se constató que no es adecuado para veganos, de ahí mi esposa no conseguir una comida. El director pidió disculpas hay mucho de pedir perdón en la corona y amablemente dicho orden de mi esposa fue sacado de la cuenta que eso es bueno de él como lo hicieron mal en primer lugar también nos mi esposa una mitad de lager y muchas más disculpas. Cuando me fui me dijeron que el joven camarero que nos sirve que una disculpa muy bien. Pero en futuros clientes prefiere ver la acción para enfrentar el problema. Se disculpó dejamos nunca volver

No habíamos reservado pero llegamos a las 12.30 para el almuerzo y nos dieron una mesa.

Almorzamos en la Corona, que fue una experiencia agradable. Reservamos una mesa para la noche y nos invitó a ver el menú de la noche. Este parecía ideal, con un gran número de cosas que estaban encantados de probar.

No hay más que decir realmente... Pescado y patatas fritas... enorme porción. Papas fritas caseras y pescado fresco servido con guisantes con mantequilla blanda y caseras salsa tartar de

Era local y vimos en Tripadvisor así que decidimos darle una oportunidad. Las comidas estaban bien hechas y fresco a la orden. La presentación de la comida era de cinco estrellas y el personal amable y elegante. Teníamos un plato principal y budín y me pareció razonable por el precio. Sólo dos cosas parado dándome este pub que fue sobresaliente y sólo una pequeña cantidad de puré con la principal que me esperaba como un adulto no es una comida para niños tamaño. Además, la espera fue un poco larga y, aunque no me importó la espera no siento la mesa de al lado que tenía cuatro niños pequeños.

A great place for good good and in a beautiful surrounding. Good mix of modern and traditional style. With great food well worth a visit

Visited the crown on a Friday lunch time had not eaten here before I had the chicken burger which was very nice and quite reasonably priced, Sarah who served us was fantastic and very friendly I also got to meet Chris the manager who was very comical and friendly and made little jokes my friend couldn't stop laughing at the artichoke joke he made we tried to tell it to friends that evening but couldn't remember it.

Arriesgamos, realmente no sabía mucho sobre el lugar, solo sabía que estaba en un pueblo bonito justo al lado de la a38. No hay muchos en la hora del almuerzo, a unos lugareños comiendo o bebiendo tranquilamente en el bar. El servicio fue rápido y cortés, la comida era de buena calidad. Rollitos de primavera y black pudding buñuelos para empezar, porciones tanto eran sabrosos y de buen tamaño. Para los platos principales nos tenía hígado y cebollas y champiñones stroganoff. Una vez más buenas porciones de tamaño en platos calientes y el hígado era de buena calidad. El único pequeño problema fue el especiales son leer a usted más que escribiera en una tabla y había unos 5 tan difícil de recordar todos ellos exactamente. Eso es ser duros en el lugar. Si este era mi local estaría contenido. Tan simple como eso.

Habiendo comido aquí en el pasado, y muy satisfecho con el servicio y la comida, llevé a mi familia a el pub esta noche y, como otros en la habitación era extremadamente decepcionado con el servicio y la calidad de la comida. Esperamos 50 minutos para ser servido el primer plato y aceites (PAN), y obviamente fue un problema en la cocina, ya que el nivel de los platos principales chili y bacon carbonara era pésimo. Incluso cuestionó la salsa carbonara que era marrón y parecía el hongo stroganoff que estaba también en el menú. El personal se disculpó y no ofrecen los aperitivos gratis que era un gesto de bienvenida... pero, sin duda, un impacto en nuestra decisión sobre dónde comer en el futuro.

Animado, pub elegante y agradable bien frecuentado por los lugareños.

Éramos un grupo de 10 personas que apareció sin previo aviso. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y encontraron una mesas para nosotros en la zona exterior cubierta, lo cual era perfecto para el clima. El personal era excelente y se las arregló bien con todos nosotros. La comida era muy buena relación calidad-precio y el pescado maltratado era más grande que he visto jamás. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra estancia allí.

Good quality food, staff were friendly, food came out quickly and freshly cooked, fair pricing... Sadly no vegan choice for desert but overall a fine place to eat

Decent garden, good beer and well cooked/presented food. All delivered by friendly staff. Job done. No need to say more.

The service very good, atmosphere good, nice village to have a stroll around. I will certainly go back here!!
