You can’t seat a table of 7 at a round table for 4 and a rectangular table of 4 pulled together and hope to gain a positive experience, As a mgr you should simply decline the reservation. Food was good, service was good. But please please don’t auction off the food when you come tothe table. It’s not rocket science to remember who ordered what item, makes a world of difference to the customer!

my opinion is that the food in this restaurant is really good but the service is a bit of disaster:they are very slow, not very professional. It's a shame because I've been eating the best roasted and French fries potatoes I ever had in my life

Popped in for a quick drink after visiting the Rock Houses, and spent a very pleasant afternoon. Good choice of ales and ciders: unfortunately we'd taken a picnic, so I was too full to try the hot pork sandwich for £2.00 (including stuffing and apple sauce) - saw one on its way out of the kitchen, though, and it look enormous and smelt divine.

We visited the Crown as the football was showing and it looked inviting from the outside. We both had fish and chips which were lovely and served quickly. At £12 for 2 hearty meals you can’t complain.

I booked a group of us (14) to celebrate my birthday. We chose a three course meal for just £9.99! The staff were very accommodating and the food was excellent value for money. The house wines were very reasonably priced. I was asked to book us in again for 2015!

The Staffs are rude, the pub smells of wet dogs and mold just isn't a nice place. Will never be going back

Saturday 8th July. Had planned a trip especially from north wales. Always been on my bucket list. Checked website and Facebook page. Sorry to hear about the break in. Information stated should be open again 6th or 7th July. Tried to phone before visit to check if open. No answer. Should've been open 8th but no updates or information. Arrived at 12:15. Five cars parked by locked gate. Nobody knew What was happening. Walked down the lane. Fantastic house. Unfortunatly we had a wasted trip. Blackboard outside 'closed until further notice' people arriving after us who we informed they were closed. Had we known we wouldn't have wasted a journey.

I popped in here after a walk over Kinver Edge because I needed to pass the time waiting for my bus. It's a friendly pub with a good atmosphere and good beer. I didn't have any food this time, but as it was my first visit to the area I will be back next time. A lovely place to stop off and wind down, I highly recommend it.

Popped for lunch after dog walking. A good selection of choices on the menu and a lovely atmosphere in this canalside pub. Dogs are welcome - there's a couple of dog-free areas as well - and this makes a good spot for refreshments (or more) after walking along the canal towpath. We'll definitely be back!
