Great pub/restaurant fantastic staff, food and drink a little pricey but worth it. And always a great atmosphere. It’s in a fantastic spot right next to Victoria Park

Last night I went to The Crown with some of my friends. I was served by Maddy and Lily and they were absolutely delightful and the service I received was outstanding.

This place is absolutely wonderful. Staff are supper attentive and nothing is to big a task to be done. Special thabks to Jordan and the team for making the best cocktails ever. Recommending different wines and spoke about local landmarks and places of interest to visit and see. The food was great and fresh.

A truly terrible ‘medium rare’ bavette steak. It was bleeding when I first cut into it so I sent it back. When it returned it was hard to see what had been done. When I cut into it it again oozed blood. Absolutely disgusting. The waitress Victoria was fabulous and removed it from the bill. I love the Crown as a pub but I’m not sure I’ll ever eat there again. My girlfriend’s meal was overcooked and dry. One of the worst meals I’ve ever been served

The roast is amazing with a very generous, tasty portion. The cauliflower cheese is especially delicious! The staff are also lovely and attentive. Great for a Sunday afternoon.

Our family (2 adults and 3 y/o) came here for a Sunday Roast because it was Mother's Day. Sat upstairs in the room at the front. Really enjoyable couple of hours - lovely food, staff were welcoming/friendly, and the playlist was great too :)

Took for the dog for a walk in the park and then met a friend so found this little gem in Bow. The staff are delightful and incredibly accommodating, especially for 4-legged friends. The menu was perfect and I enjoyed the sausages and mash. I’d love to return when I’m in the area next. Thank you.

The customer service experience was extremely unpleasant. Upon entering to order a drink, a bartender, who was actually a man dressed as a female and, in my opinion, did not adhere to a standard of decency in attire, approached us. Is there no dress code for your staff? Before my friend could finish ordering, the bartender interrupted with a demand for "please," displaying a rude attitude. Both my friend and I were shocked by this behavior. We hadn't even completed our order, yet this individual showed clear rudeness and entitlement. Despite our incomplete sentences, the bartender insisted on being addressed with "please." Despite our frustration, we managed to order our drinks. After having one, I promptly left, disgusted by the bartender's behavior. Such conduct is unacceptable, and I strongly urge you to take action against this individual. Additionally, the pub had a pervasive smell of urine throughout. I will never return to this establishment again.

We had a great time at the Crown. We had a reserved space upstairs for a birthday celebration and the staff were brilliant. They were very accommodating throughout the day/evening. Food was lovely. Highly recommend!

Been a while since we ate at the Crown as we had a couple of bad experiences in the past. But heard they had a new chef/menu so decided to give it another go. And wow, what a difference . Sunday lunch was superb and the vibe/service was fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Came here for some birthday drinks and it was great. Lovely vibe and decor and great function space upstairs which also had its own bar area.

We held a family and friends party in the upstairs rooms of The Crown. The staff were super helpful, set out tables and chairs in such a way to accomodate around 90 people, served the food helped with the music and generally helped make teh evening a great success.

Paid £95 a head for Christmas dinner which was stone cold 2 scallops for starters 1 hot 1 cold I can’t even describe the crumble more like dust not once were we asked how our meal was we asked for some mash potatoes & gravy for our toddler which was totally dismissed we paid our bill when booked so was absolutely shocked when asked for service of £35 when totally didn’t get any service let alone good would never set foot the place again merry Christmas the Crown you should be ashamed of yourselfs

It's easy to forget how wonderful a plate of fish and chips can be. The Crown offered a welcome reminder, welcoming service and a unique décor that manages to be both gloriously funky and traditional/cosy. Highly recommended.

A Great local, near the amazing Victoria Park. The staff are the biggest asset of the bar, so efficient and friendly.

Teníamos una mesa reservada para las 5 pm, y después de ordenar nuestras bebidas, nos decepcionó mucho descubrir que solo quedaban 1 cordero y 2 asados de ternera en el pub; 2 de nuestro grupo eran vegetarianos, así que nos fuimos y tuvimos que buscar comida en otra parte. Cuando llamamos para hacer la reserva, nos aseguraron que todavía habría muchas cenas asadas disponibles a las 5 pm. Waiting 30 minutes for our pork belly Sunday roast, lovely waitress, after waiting for so long the plait arrived, very liquid and messy ! No gravy but just liquid brown water ! No recommend

We had a really lovely meal for 4 at the Crown. Most enjoyable. Good, friendly service. The food was brought out promptly and was well presented.

It’s a lovely pub with a cosy interior, but it’s the team that make it... they’re all so welcoming and are completely genuine. The only let down in the pub is the prices set by the brewery, I presume, are that of central and wealthier parts of London... oh and the toilets, not great... the great atmosphere makes up for these two points but it would be good to get these noted.

No matter when you go to The Crown, you are met with such a brilliant welcome. I highly recommend it as one of the regulars. Supports babies, toddlers and you can take your dog.

I had to create an account just to voice my first experience at a pub and I would like to start off by saying the food is good but slightly salty. The vibe is amazingly christmassy, also the customer service was sumptuous - the waitress Jessica took our order and constantly checked up on my family and I... ensuring we enjoyed our food and stay. We had an early evening sunday roast... we had our little girl with us and friends... we spend a lovely evening thanks to the staff and especially to the waitress which unfortunately we don't know the name (long dark hair), she was very professional and nice also to our baby. We will definitely be back soon as we live near by.

My son booked The Crown for his wedding reception and it was amazing! Aline was an absolute superstar and couldn't have been more helpful. The staff were efficient, wonderfully polite and helpful and we were so impressed. The venue was decorated beautifully for Christmas which was so atmospheric, the food was delicious and we had so many compliments from family & friends who said it was one of the best weddings they'd attended. This pub was a great pub and I would recommend it to people that like british style pubs. I was just sitting by myself and made friends easy within minutes.

Been here a couple of times now for Sunday lunch and the roasts do not disappoint. Tasty and generous - and for a pretty decent price too. Good range of other dishes on the menu, as well as the drinks. The service is quick, professional and friendly even when the place is heaving. Would definitely recommend for a nice meal and a few drinks after a walk in Victoria Park!

I can’t remember the last time I complained about my meal but I felt so extremely disappointed after dining here that I felt compelled to write a review. A group of 4 of my friends and I came to eat a light lunch after we have had drinks here before and enjoyed the atmosphere. My friend’s vegan paella which was £12.50 was quite possibly the poorest excuse for a “main” and to make it worse it was stone cold! We ordered a couple of sides of chips, only one ever turned up and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a small portion, I could’ve probably counted the amount in the tiny ceramic dish on my left hand. One of the others in the group ordered sausage and mash which I’m told was tasty however when we asked for some gravy it very conveniently came at her last mouthful. The service left a lot to be desired and we were left extremely disappointed. Will not be eating here again.

My daughter hired the Paper room for a private party for my birthday, and it was amazing!!! The food was wonderful, the staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for our superb waiter. The balcony was such a bonus especially for the children who were supervised at all times and it was a beautiful day.

I booked the function room for a leaving do for 30 people. The relaxed and convivial surroundings made for a great evening. The room overlooks Victoria Park with outdoor terrace. Buffet food was delicious, set out and attractively displayed for people to help themselves. Jordan and team supported our requests throughout the planning and during the evening enabling me to focus on my guests. Thanks to all at the Crown!

We were drawn in by the special offers on the board outside, pan fried quail and a monkey gin. Once inside we realised that there was so much more on offer. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and allowed us to muck around with our menu choices so that we got a taste of everything. Lovely dessert wines were offered with the puddings, and the whole experience was much better than we expected from a pub by a park.

I had lunch there and we both had a starter. They look delicious - long list of ingredients, za'tar, chilli, fennel, pomegranate & etc. What arrived were two plates - one with some dried focaccia laid flat with mayonnaise sludge on top piled over some dubious, dried chicken. The other had the same focaccia (sliced differently) with the same mayonnaise sludge and a small piece of salmon tail. The ingredients were entirely different on the menu but the sludge was the same. Really very poor. £10 each a plate. Should have sent it back but the bar staff were nice and the wine was fine - though expensive as everywhere in London. Have eaten here before and been unimpressed - but this was some of the worst food I've been served in London. Worse than basic.

Can I go to a pub in east London where I don't have to spend my life savings on a pint?

Went here for our daughter's 30th birthday party. The staff member on the floor upstairs was attentive and kept us posted on possible delays. She appeared to be covering 2 functions on her own! Her wine recommendations were very good. The food was decent pub grub and went down well. The link to the neighbouring Victoria Park and the great Rock against Racism concert was an added bonus as I am somewhere in the photo of the Clash performing.

My son and his girlfriend hired a room on the first floor for their engagement venue last night. The two adjoining rooms also have a small balcony with seating. It is a delightful venue, beautifully decorated in shabby chic style. We were able to go in early to add extra decorations to personalise the room for the evening. There is a small bar too. The staff were really friendly and helpful and stored the cake I had bought in a cool area. The atmosphere is excellent and they do everything to help your evening to go smoothly. I would strongly recommend this place as a venue. My son had organised food for the evening and this was of excellent quality and not the usual standard food - a lot of effort had gone into it.

Went to the Crown for their "under the stars' dinner. Fantastic food, cocktails and service for a great price. Will definitely return here regularly.
