The Crofters, Bradshaw in Medway

We ordered a take away from here as our usual favourite Thai kitchen was closed and we really fancied Thai. I can safely say we will not be returning. When it arrived we got given a ‘free’ bottle of wine and the delivery driver said ‘5 star review?’ Which made me question why he said that. The food was terrible, really awful. Very very salty the chicken was tough as anything and so greasy! Not good quality or fresh ingredients. My partner loves his food and never doesn’t eat it but he couldn’t stomach it. Will not be returning at all to the Thai part of the restaurant. I haven’t visited the actual place or eaten there so cannot comment on that.

The Pizza o clock menu says from 3-9pm, Mon to Weds. Yet the website states the restaurant doesn't open until 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. Confusing....

My wife and myself decided to call in for a spot of lunch and we were so disappointed. The lady behind the bar was pleasant but that's where it ended. We ordered two Beef and onion gravy baguettes with side salad and chips. The beef was like a cross between wood and leather and what I would describe as fat veins running through. You could not taste any of the salad as it was covered in a thick vinaigrette oil substance you could not make out what was in it. Not once were we asked if we had any allergies. The chips were not to bad but a little greasy for my liking. In the end we left most of it, paid and left. We came a couple of years ago for my fathers birthday and really enjoyed, sadly the same could not be said for our latest and last visit.

Booked a table for Christmas Eve, plenty of ti.e in advance, and phoned up to confirm. We were booked for the festive menu. Turned up told then we arrived was left waiting for 20 minutes no one came back to us. Asked someone else then got seated but no menu for ages. Then took drink order amd came back to tell us we can't order on the festive menu. We explained that was the reason for our booking, the girl said let me see what we can do amd then just never came back to us. Absolutely disgusting service we never eat her again and they need to employ staff that can actually communicate with people

Amazing food, amazing staff and amazing food. Would definitely recommend as we had such an amazing evening. Loved all the Christmas theme and felt so festive. Perfect night.

I'm not one normally to complain but I have to echo my wife's comments in the review "unbelievably rude table reservation service" subject title. I mean what sort of establishment interrupts your social evening by asking you to leave mid-session when you're sat at an empty table ? If the table we were at had already been reserved for the evening then as my wife says, common sense tells you there should surely have been a notice on it to forewarn us not to sit there during the time it was reserved for. If it was the case that the reservation was made after we had arrived, then tough - we are already there and the table isn't available until we leave, Either way (already reserved or subsequently reserved), it's a cretinous policy and smacks of no common sense being applied by whichever half-wit dreamt this one up. Crofters would do well take a leaf out of the Black Bull's book in Ainsworth - an approach which I've seen used all over the country - whereby notices are already displayed on reserved tables showing the time they are reserved and otherwise available. So I then had to down my full pint in 10 minutes, miss the rest of the football match that we had gone in to watch and go and drink elsewhere. Thanks Crofters, for the embarrassment we suffered and the VIP (Very Insignificant Pleb) treatment. It's an absolute shocker.

Went for a few drinks with my husband yesterday late afternoon 4:30 ish and we were quite happy watching the football, minding our own business when a waitress appears at 5:50pm and plonks something down on our table. It was a reserved sign for 6pm!! My husband had just ordered himself another pint, so he had 10 minutes to drink it before we had to push off - what absolutely disgusting service this is. If someone had wanted to reserve the table they should have been told that someone was already there or if the pub knew about the reservation then the notice should have been on the table in the first place. I told the waitress that had we known we would have sat at the table in front but she advised me that there was a reservation on that table too, so the poor buggers already sat there were also due to get turfed out of their seats - unbelievable!!! Won't be going back to the crofters.

My mother in law in her 80s and two friends phoned last week to book a table. They were told that they didn’t need to book during weekdays. They arrived this afternoon and were turned away because of a ‘private party’. Thankfully another local restaurant looked after them and they ended up having a lovely afternoon. This isn’t the first time the Crofters have displayed this level of botheredness. We’ll steer clear from now on.

Came into the Crofters on a works doo. Amazing atmosphere and the singer was brilliant, singing absolute classics. It was a great dance and we all enjoyed our works doo. Then a group of 18 year old lads came standing around us trying to cause trouble. Was shocked the bouncers didn’t throw them out. Reminded me of being in a club at 18. Certainly not the place I would ever entertain again.

Absolutely fabulous food. Everyone enjoyed the delicious, tasty, varied buffet provided. We will definitely be booking a table in the restaurant next time we're in Bolton.

Ordered for delivery 2 of their 'special' pizzas and garlic mushrooms. Pizzas were under cooked, had virtually no toppings and were tasteless. We paid £7 for a handful of mushrooms which were too pretty tasteless. Wish we had read reviews on other websites before we spent nearly £30. Most of it ended up in the bin. Don't know whether you get better quality if you order on their website rather than Justeat but won't be bothering again.

Been meaning to review for a while. The main Man here always goes out of his way. Came there on my mobility scooter last summer and he went out of his way to make sure I could get into the pub and order some food and a glass of wine. Plucked up courage to try a few weeks ago as I was unsure that my scooter would get out of the car park. (It did, no problem). Explained my very limited walking and the lovely man on the door said to wait until the coast was clear and to come in the via the exit so that I could sit down at the nearest table. All the Staff were so helpful, explained my mobile not that good and a menu was bought to me without a problem and a tab set up. We have had, in the past, most of the Thai dishes and they were all good. Thought food was good value. Came again the next day on my own and had same great service. After ordering my meal, the ribs at the next table looked to good, I ordered some to take home. Glad I did. Will be coming here a lot more now. The car park marquee is much easier for me to access when I'm on my own but realise there is nothing they can do as the back of the pub is very steep, so when that goes, will have to have somebody take me and hope that they will pay.

Amazing Thai and Service. Best Thai I have had since traveling Thailand Missed a few things from order but rectified immediately fabulous service. Coconut rice is the best Will keep ordering from here and highly recommend it.

The Crofters really stepped up for us a couple of weeks ago and agreed to hold our wedding reception for us! Obviously with the restrictions there was not many places that were able to accommodate us but they really made it special for us! All the wedding guests agreed that they felt safe and secure with the pub’s implementation of the covid guidelines. The food was amazing and they even played our first dance song so me and my now husband could have a little boogie in our seats. Absolutely top service from all the staff and we will definitely be returning shortly!
