We visited the Cranleigh for a Sunday roast and we were not disappointed! Beautiful roast beef that melted in my mouth and we also had two really nice deserts, I had the brownie and my partner had the Jam rolly polly - all in all we had excellent food and the service great too, will definitely be back.

Dropped car over road for clean lunchtime, 2 meals and a pint under 20 quid meal deal gammon as good as I've had anywhere wife's chicken curry too much to finish excellent as was the service on a very busy lunch time as is the atmosphere, decor better than it's ever been and I've visited it over a 50yrs span wishing new owners/management good luck on hard work

Great roast, nice family environment would definitely recommend. The pub is very clean and tidy with a nice relaxed environment.

I come here most days for a few drinks after work with friends, I always get really well looked after by the team and they always have my favourite drink ready and poured when they see I habe arrived, we love it here and I van honestly say its such a magnificent local pub.

I had the pleasure of eating in the Cranleigh with my daughters family and friends over from Spain,9 people in total.The food was excellent and good value, and the service was also exceptional. Big thanks to Shaun and Arwen, who looked after us. You can not beat this pub for price and friendly service in the area

We had such a lovely meal here for Mother’s Day. There was 8 of us and we all really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were great. The roast dinner was so good was very full but had to try the apple and blackberry pie which was so yummy!! Lovely atmosphere, accommodating staff and such reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

A booking was made for 6 on mother's day, but needed this amended to 7 on the day. Shaun the landlord was very helpful and even though this was mother's day, he managed to squeeze an extra person in. Yes it was snug on the table, but we managed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was served very quickly, and was cooked to perfection. Very generous portions and delicious. It was a very busy lunchtime, but this did not seem to phase the staff, I will be going back and recommend the Cranleigh. You've done an amazing job with the place.👌

We were a walk-in for lunch and the food was lovely and the service really great! There was only one guy working the front of house, and one chef working in the kitchen but despite being understaffed we still had good food and good service! :)

We held my Nans wake here. Shaun and the team were amazing, they did everything they could to ensure the day went as smoothly as possible. Every request we asked for they did their best to accomodate. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it. I would highly recommend The Cranleigh for special occasions.

Visited The Cranleigh today with my partner and parents for the first time since the refurb. It's always been a favourite of mine, but i must say it's even nicer now. Lovely decor, friendly staff and our meals were all delicious. Good value, lovely atmosphere too. I highly recommend this hidden gem of Bournemouth for a traditional and welcoming pub meal. The new decor is fab and the staff are very friendly and attentive… however The food menu is very limited, the old one was way better and more value for money. Fish and chips were over cooked the batter was rock solid.. Hunters chicken had more bbq sauce than chicken and was just warm, chips (about 6 of them for overcooked) Mac and cheese and katsu chicken curry were fabulous and piping hot. This was at lunchtime and maybe 6 tables were eating so wasn’t even busy. I’m pretty confident we won’t be hurrying back anytime soon

Absolutely wonderful meal for my sons 18th birthday dinner. 15 of us all enjoyed our meals which look better than they do in the photos. The staff, very accomedating, helping me decorate the area we where given. And even joined in the singing of Happy birthday. The only disappointment was no katsu curry but that just goes to show how good it is.

Had Christmas dinner there yesterday and must say what a great time we had. If I'm honest I wasn't sure what to expect but what a wonderful day. With a vegetarian and a vegan in our party of three, it was good to see they had choices on the menu rather than just the one option that a lot of other places were offering. Lovely polite staff, excellent food and drinks at sensible prices. The place looks great after the refurb. Well done Shaun. A great atmosphere and attentive staff, the Christmas meal banquet was excellent value for money! All the different meal choices arrived at the same time so no one was left waiting.

Just had a pre-Christmas dinner with friends and family. There were about 20 of us and 7 kids so had the 3-course menu for £20/£10 per child. There was a good variety of food and desserts on the menu. The food came out all on time and together and not one wrong the staff were exceptional and very helpful and accommodating and even ordering on the app was quick and easy which some of the group did for drinks. Considering we wasn't the only large grpup there the management and staff did exceptionally well. Would highly recommend

Our children had no clubs on the Tuesday, so we all went out as a large extended family. Very reasonable prices and Jack at the bar looked after us well. The waitress was also attentive. The venue ambience is much improved after the revamp.

Wow what an amazing difference since the refurbishment. The decor is really well done and I would class it as Modern / eclectic but very pleasing. They have gone back to open plan which really works well. The food was good and delivered to the table promptly by our amazing server Matthew lovely South African (I believe by accent) he really was a credit to the pub. He was cheerful and very attentive and cleared plates away quickly (pet peeve of mine) so if any management read this hold on to him with all you might lol. Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Price 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Parking 4/5 Keep it up Cranleigh we will be back.

Booked a table for early dinner on a Saturday. We were looking forward to trying out our newly refurbished local… such a disappointment. Arrived and there is nobody to show you where to sit, so we just took pot luck and sat down but tables were very close together and it all felt very cramped. Went to the bar, took almost 10 mins to even be acknowledged by a member of staff, finally got a drink. The menu has changed considerably and not for the better in our opinion. And children running around whilst people were trying to eat and staff trying to serve food. We actually got up and left and won’t be returning unfortunately.

Love it! Improvements are excellent! The set up allows a buzzing atmosphere and privacy all at the same time. Good selection of drink and food. Staff were so friendly and helpful which really makes a place. Sports on every corner for big events but equally a lovely bar and restaurant too. All in all, will be a regular place for me and mine

The venue looks fantastic after its revamp, so much more room and the decor is fantastic. The downside: Granted it was a Saturday evening so you do expect that there will be a fair few people going out out and the atmosphere would be lively. However you would expect that during dinner service hours the music would be kept to a level where you can talk over it. Thankfully they were kind enough to turn off the speaker above our heads. After ordering dinner we did have a 45 minute wait to be served whilst being battered by the noise. Then when we were finally served our food a live band started and the noise level went up so high that we were just desperate to finish our meals and get out of there. We didn’t stay for desert. The food was ok, nothing to get excited about though. Sadly the new menu doesn’t include a sweet potato alternative for those with allergies, so the birthday boy had to have a very meagre salad and was quite let down by this. There was nothing terrible or damning about our visit, it just sadly wasn’t the right venue for us this time.

Wow what can I say really lovely to see the Cranleigh looking amazing and the best pub I've walked into yet nice staff and people in there too would highly recommend will be visiting again on my mum's birthday end of October 10/10

Green King have done us dirty. The Cranleigh is no longer a Hungry Horse pub. Now has a very limited menu and a more upmarket feel. They'll lose fans, it wasn't broken. Won't go again, although food today was delicious, it's just another trying to be fancy pub. The Hungry Horse was perfect for the clients and area and superb portions for good prices for the people!

Visited this evening was a superb experience from start to finish jess who served us provided first class service and we couldn't be happier with out night out.

We accidentally stumbled accross the reopening today and so happy we did! Little chaotic but the staff handled it beautifully. And The food was so good! Children ate every scap and the burgers were amazing! Good value too, highly recommended.
