Closed at 10 15 on a Saturday night… wasn’t busy but plenty people in … good example of how small businesses fail instead of trying to build business and encourage repeat custom, ask them to leave and probably won’t return….

Been in tonight and what can I say… Class! A proper pub, ran by proper people, serving proper drinks! Loved the vibe and will definitely be returning!

Great local pub. Have popped in a few times and every time have felt really welcomed. The staff are friendly with great service and good drinks. There’s even a few games when the kids are with you!

Visited with family who live in the area. I have to avoid fizzy drinks which is a bit of a hastle as most pubs do not serve any interesting non-fizzy drinks. On the day we went however, Mango infused Seacider was on tap!! - what a find; both the venue and the cider which is delicious and flat. The decor is almost like you are in someone’s house but they have made a much better job of it than the “bars in the corner” that were all the rage in some 70s properties. Very friendly service too. Will definitely be visiting again when next in Newcastle.

Recently opened in Monkseaton, but what an addition small, but not micro with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We went in for a Christmas night out with some friends to be met with a smile and hello from the staff and nods and smiles from the clientele which is what you want for a first time visit. A fantastic selection of beers on the bar with them coming from local breweries I had Northumbrian gold from Hadrian Border brewery it was as the old advert says "class in a glass". Keep up the good work and we will be back for more. Go check it out.

Summer behind the bar is EXCELLENT at her job, she’s very good at communicating and friendly. We enjoyed the food, much more flavour wise than we were expecting from a pub! Good selection of wines and Hozier playing, what more could you want. Will be back x

The ArcadeA taste explosion… The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The ambience and the decor in Lola Jeans is fantastic and the food was delicious. We don't have big appetites so we ordered the vegan platter to share and it was more than enough for both of us. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and not the usual predictable vegan stuff. It included: Felafel. vegan meat loaf, chilli broccoli with soft stems and crispy florets, tomato hummus with beetroot ketchup and harissa dip. The beetroot ketchup was a flavour explosion and the best I've tasted. The platter was accompanied by triple cooked chips, pittas and salad. My partner also ordered a side of tater tots which were yummy. I tried one of the exotic-sounding beers and opted for the tropical ipa which was fruity and refreshing. We'll definitely be visiting LJ's next time we're in Tynemouth as it's some of the best vegan food we've had and we need to try the vegan burger.

68 Front StreetBeen a while since I've been in. I was pleasantly surprised how much it had improved. Karaoke Saturday night's absolutely rammed nice people old friends that i hadn't seen in a while.

1 Charnwood Avenue LongbentonFab pub, full of fab people, and under fab new management! They serve a good selection of drinks, no food but a variety of pub snacks and their entertainment is great; bingo with cash prizes, karaoke, DJ, darts, pool & live singers all on the calendar!
