Bouncer assaults woman Sunday 5th May about 10pm Went for a drink after a meal out on date night (cola as I was driving) Sat outside and heard a scream, looked around and the bouncer was dragging a woman in her 20's by the arms, across the floor, then throwing her bottle of water. She was sat on the floor protesting her inocence when the boncer (with the help of another bouncer) pinned her down and called the police. The bar staff lied for the bouncer. 20 years ago I used to drink down Donny and bouncers ruined many a night with their 10 men attitude and steroid pumped aggression....... 1st time out in Donny since and nothing has changed. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and actions by all staff.

The Old George (was Courtyard) has been undergoing changes. 🎉 It's now updated with its colour scheme and seating areas which is nice. Fair prices for a drink and you can also play a game of pool. 🎱

This was a flashy pub to go drinking at, with a colourful and exciting design! The counter is stylishly presented, staff were friendly and me and my friend had Berry Ciders at leather seating.

Outside area is great for socialising and love the music Inside music was motown when we went which was also good and the dn played our request straight away The place is let down by the scruffy toilets and slow staff. It's always empty but still takes ages to get served

Old George is back in town looking fresh. Been repainted on out side, cant be missed from market side.

I've never experienced a more sorry bar. It feels like the owners have just given up. The place has an unplaceable odour when you walk in. The drinks we had were rancid. Akin to dirty pipes. Both cubicles in the gents without a seat and excrement all around. No clue when last cleaned. We didn't erven finish our drinks. The one member of staff on duty when we arrived more interested in his phone than earning a wage and doing some cleaning. Disgraceful!!

Very run down, looks like it hasn't been refurbished since the 80's.

Was 3 but now DOWN to 1 star. Called in Saturday evening after some months absence from Doncaster and was totally ignored despite it not being busy. People came in after us and were served straight away, numerous times. On questioning the lady behind the bar we were dismissed with a wave of the hand and "I'm busy". Even after pointing out we were before others only to be greeted with "I've told you I'm busy". Second member of staff, older guy, turned up and did exactly the same. Needless to say we left. Rude and unattentive staff more interested in serving their mates

No proper beer on tap (ipa, cask) only larger.... we don't all drink lager. Service was so slow we nearly left after waiting 35mins for a bottle of peroni and a Jack Daniels (couldn't be any easier of an order) pub wise just seemed a bit grubby and staff were focused on serving customers in there courtyard area

25 mins to get served, only 18 people in ! Tables not wiped and no soap in the gents.

DO NOT BOTHER GOING. The manager of this pub last night was awful. His attitude was disgusting he did not deal with anything professionally. There was many other people coming out saying not to go in due to the managers attitude. Waving his hand in front of my friends saying to get out there is no space although there was a table free in front of us.

Needs a tidy and shake up. Run out of all draught except Guinness. Pretty tired allround.

We visited here at the beginning of the week. First time visit and last time visit. We bought a pint of beer and a pint of strongbow dark fruits, which it definitely was not... I drink this all the time and never tasted anything so appalling in my life. The beer was horrible too. We sat outside to enjoy the sunshine, but soon moved inside when we realised we were sharing the outside space with a rat roaming round the garden area. We ended up leaving half our drinks and making a very quick exit.

Always love coming in here. The atmosphere is brilliant and the staff are all friendly and accommodating. I've never had any problems in here. Regularly visit when I'm able.

Very dirty glasses had lip stick on and drinks had floating dirt in them also 15 pounds for 2 gin and tonics in dirty glasses although they did change the glass. we would never go back.

Located in Doncaster Market Place is The Courtyard which is a superb pub we visited on a Saturday night and what a great time we had. The pub is really good, it's got a great interior, nice decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their cool courtyard. We had been at Doncaster races and after the races were pub and bar hopping around this town, we dropped into here were we took advantage of their two for 1 deals on beers ,we got bottles of Becks beer which we enjoyed in the courtyard on a hot and muggy night,beers were iced cold and sparkling and it was just so nice being in such a great pub enjoying a couple of cold beers. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another couple of beers each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time . The Courtyard is easy to locate on Market Place. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, Open from 10am. Sunday, Open from Midday. A great pub,well worth a visit.

You can see the staffing levels are down to the bare bones. Toppings were very small. I may as well have just bought a base. Not happy! plenty of other pizza shops in Goole area,that are loads cheaper and better toppings.

Would've got 5 stars but the barman was wearing a liverpool shirt.

we were taking the grandson to take his driving theory test and decided to enjoy a meal out . The meal was very nice and the surrounding very comfy, will deffinately go again

Usually the pub is a nice place to visit with sevice being great. This lasr time it took 40 minutes to make a chicken wrap. There was 10 of us in the pub at the time.

It's a nice little pub can get a bit cramped when busy but on the whole a nice place

Not the greatest looking from the outside but got tempted with the big poster of the food offers whilst looking round the market. Very pleasent team and the food was good. Speaking to the team there is someone new in so I look forward to my next visit when back in the area

Great location round the corner from the town center also with access via silver street threw there beer garden. We enjoyed the food and it was delivered within a reasonable time. There was plenty of choice for drinks too.

Bat staff only seem able to serve at one end of the bar, won't bother again 🖑

Stumbled across the Courtyard, wish I hadn’t bothered. We bought two pints of Carlsberg for £4.50 which we thought was cheap. We then ordered food at the bar and were informed that it was a thirty minute wait even though the pub was far from packed. We were on the brink of leaving without eating when the food eventually arrived after fifty minutes. I had a fruity chicken salad which barely had any chicken or fruit barring a few sultanas when the menu said it should have coconut and pineapple. My wife had a vege burger which was just about palatable. We also had the “pleasure” of seeing another customer in the beer garden clearing his nose and then wiping his fingers on a nearby parasol. If all you want a cheap drink then the Courtyard is for you. If you want a bar meal give it a wide berth. Cheap pub with cheap customers.

Hi I had very nice time with the staff and door staff

Ordered 3 starters for £9, was told had to wait 45 minutes, but no one was eating in the pub !! Chicken was cold and had to send it back, portion size was a joke !! Had no Merlot wine, took ages to go and have a look, expensive, service was not good, very uninterested, the barmaid kept huffing and puffing

Had eight meals today. Very ordinary. One meal missed came half hour later. Omg !

Although the pub itself seemed clean enough and the cocktails were an excellent price and most enjoyable, the actual toilets are an absolute disgrace. I do not know how the place has managed to stay open with the toilets in the state they are in. Something needs to be done to improve them. Such a shame as the pub itself, food prices and cocktail prices very good.

We found this place while looking for somewhere else. It was clean and tidy, had an extensive menu with special offers, and was empty. This seemed strange for a Tuesday lunch time but we were served by a polite barman who took our order for two specials which included a drink. We found a comfortable table and the food came quickly. It was a typical 'Wetherspoons' type of place. The food was enough for what we wanted and paid for but was not generous in size. It was hot and tasty and the drinks were good. I would certainly use it again if I wanted a quick meal at a very good price and a bit of peace and quiet to eat it in.

Having a drink today in the sunshine there were only two members of staff serving which meant an usually long waiting time for a drink. I then purchased a cheeky Vimto which was over £6 which I found very exspensive as I could've got the same drink in a different establishment for much less. Hence my unhappy face...just saying 😤😤😤😤😠😠😠😠😠

Good bar. Prices are good. Pool table. Music. Worth a couple in there.

Service: good Food: I quote Marlene my grandma " food was presentable but everything was cold" Vegetarian meal was late as no flatbread but when finally arrived the vegi meal was hot. Food reasonable for price
