Nice cafe to have two toasted teacakes and a large orange juice and a pot of tea for one and the staff are very friendly I would recommend this cafe for excellent service

Really enjoyed our breakfast this morning, I had mine without mushroom and was offered another item in lieu of this….very few places offer this…thankyou. Breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious made with quality items, my son enjoyed his sausage bap and milkshake too. Friendly service aswell

Just happened to stop by for a coffee after passing through the shopping centre, and to say I was pleased would be an understatement! Thoroughly enjoyed a delicious flat white, accompanied by some terrific waiting on and service. Thoroughly enjoyed, will definitely be coming back soon!

OOn a very hot day had a Knickerbocker glory to cool medown and it was great.Large glass and very tasty.

food and service was great but I can't believe a pot of tea for 1 and that's all it is 1 small cup of tea is £2.30 and then wanted another £1 when I asked for a top up of hot water ..... TOTAL RIP OFF

Whenever I visit Skegness my favourite place to eat is this cafe. First rate service, and lovely home cooked food at an affordable price. I always give my compliments to the chef as I leave. A little gem hidden in the Hildred shopping centre. Nikki, Sheffield.

Nice and clean, no music playing in background {great} can be pricey. I like two of most things on breakfast this will cost you here though. Total spend on one morning was 23 pound that was with extras on breakfast and egg on toast x 2 tea and coffee. Propper butchers sausage thought not cheap sausage. Very nice

5 out of 5, wonderful cafe and well worth visiting, the staff are wonderful. The menu has plenty to choice from drink wise or food wise, the cafe is clean and well maintained. The cafe is inviting and warm, family friendly and good has accessibility for disabled folk. The cakes are well worth trying to! I come here when in Skegness the cafe is a credit to the staff who look after it.

Excellent throughout. Very clean. High quality food. Our server ( Zoe) was very patient with our order and has to be one of the most well spoken people I have ever met. Her table manner was a delight. Highly recommended establishment.

Clean well organised restaurant that serves tasty food to the table by cheerful staff. We enjoyed chicken salads that were made with fresh sliced chicken breast. Bread & butter included. Thank you will return when next in town.

The staff are very friendly and pleasant, however the best part was the unreal biscoff cheesecake!!! Amazing! Good prices and offers on all day every day. Highchairs available which is great too.

I highly recommend the cottage loaf, full cooked breakfast, (full quality bacon and sausage!) fresh, delicious salads and extremely pleasant staff! I'm a regular customer of the cottage loaf and like a good catch up with friends and family every couple of weeks or so and we always meet here! Prices are good and all members of the team are very polite and friendly! 😁 Love this cafe!

We visited the cafe a few days ago. It was a wonderful experience. The staff, the food and service. Even when they were short of staff we received a good service. Food wise, we loved the breakfast. It was tasty and filling. Will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place.

We ordered 1 ham salad sandwich and 1 cheese sandwich with onion 1 standard latte and 1 pot of tea. Total price £17-55 absolutely disgusting price. Apparently the onion was separate at £1-70. The very rude assistant said when we questioned the price, Don't you read the menu and we don't give fillings for free. I never thought onion would be priced separate from the cheese sandwich. And over £6 for a standard ham salad sandwich 2 slices of bread. Needless to say we won't be visiting this place again.

I visited the cafe in September, and ordered from the special menu, tea and a tea cake. It wasnt bad to be fair. What I was disappointed in was the poor service. When he bill arrived, I was charged more than I should have been. When I challenged this, it was for the extra hot water. What ensued then was terrible. The waitress said she told me there was a charge, the (what I believe) was the manger also said I was wrong. It was not just embarassing, but absolutely 0 customer service skills. The special menu has no mention of any additional costs. I would avoid at all costs. I did try to speak to the manager to say what perhaps they could do, clearly not interested.

We called in for breakfast and really enjoyed what we had. I opted for sausage , bacon and tomatoes on a bagette, my Son had bacon and egg cob. It kept me going til evening time. A good strong cup of tea as well. Spotless tables and table service made it even better.

Best all day breakfast I've ever had. So tasty and nice. The service was excellent. I will definitely be going back again. 10out of 10.

I visited the other day with my family. They are operating a one way system. With hand sanitizer avaliable on the way in and out. Staff are all wearing PPE. Menus are disposable and are disposed after each use! Tables cleaned after every person! Staff are super friendly and very helpful! Will definitely be visiting again very soon!

This is THE cafe to eat at in Skegness. Both food and service are outstanding with nothing too much trouble. There are a few restrictions due to social distancing issues but they only go to make you feel safe and at ease. Paul and David

Absolutely fantastic experience. Welcomed and seated by staff, social distancing in place, hand sanitizer to use on entry. NHS track and trace system been used, very clean toilets. One way system in place. The staff wear protective visors and are constantly using the hand sanitizer. I felt very safe eating here and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend eating here as they are taking the COVID-19 situation really seriously and looking after their customers brilliantly.

Absolutely disgusting management.No social distancing,cramming everyone into the cafe.Poor waitresses are run off their feet.Tables next to each other,prams and pushchairs in the way,forcing people to stand next to each other.the managers were very rude saying "if we want to social distance then it's best to go somewhere else"

what a wonderful find after walking round skegness excellent service menu was full of great deals and plenty to choose from meals were either 2 for £13.00 or 2 for £14.00 depending on what you selected there was also a deal for toasted tea cake tea or coffee £3.50 & sponge cake tea or coffee £4.45 which are all day specials children are catered for very enjoyable in a very clean establishment.

Called in here for lunch with my wife and mum and dad. It looks dark from the outside but once inside, it's OK. The seating is nice and the place is clean, one of the few places I've been that has table service. It Wasn't busy while we were there and the waitress came quite Quickly and took our orders we all ordered different meals. I had ham eggs and chips my mum had gamon chips and veg dad shepherds pie mash and veg, and my wife beef pie maText you copy will automatically show heresh and veg. All the meals arrived together and were very nice. We all had filter coffee s also hot and quickly served. Would use again when I'm in skeg vagas

Paid £2.45 for a cup of lukewarm pale white dishwater. No coffee taste whatsoever, very sloppy. Been recommended Costa (when opened) and Moochas.

We'd been for a walk along the seafront and also through the town and so were ready for a coffee break. We found this and stepped inside - friendly waitresses and the drinks, including a Mocca, were good.

Me & my partner called in for lunch, we waited ages to get served. I asked 3 different staff members if we could order & they all said they would send someone over. The last server was very rude telling use to wait a minute! I noticed a mother & her son walked out in the end because they had also been waiting ages to get served. In the end we gave up too & walked out, won’t be coming back which is a shame because we used to enjoy coming in here for lunch.

got a nice day at Skegness had a look round the shops and soon was thinking about dinner so as we was near and we been before decided to have our meal hear a very warm welcome with a very clean place very good staff easey to get in and out what more can you ask for a great place and one day we will be back

We always have lunch at this busy cafe. They have a few vegetarian options on the menu.My only minor quibble is that you only have one option to pay and that’s cash!! Come on it’s the 21st century!! I had to find a cash machine or it was pot washing for me and the wife.In Skeg? then I would recommend this cafe, but just have cash on you.Only 4 stars because of the limited payment option.

Called for tea but sadly they do not do a non dairy milk alternative however they did give us fresh lemon

ok if you in good old Skeg and want a very clean nice place great meals and staff and a great menu to choose from well look no further you will get a very warm welcome from the very nice and friendly staff the food is cook fresh and well worth the short wait

Have now visited this café twice and each time have been really happy with both the friendly staff and the choice of light meals, snacks and cakes. Not good for the diet but well worth going of it for. Will be back again....

ok i at good old Skegness with one of my support workers had look round the market and shops (ect} then ok time for dinner want a real nice place to eat very clean very nice staff very well set out at the tables plenty room for wheelchairs, prams (ect) you will find that all the staff are very nice and very helpfull in all ways i can only put how i \ we find each place we go the place as quite a good menu and the food is cook fresh and nice and hot we some time will be back

Always liked the look of this place and always seems busy. Called in today....meh..only filter coffee....minute teapots...bacon bap very fatty and greasy, sandwiches overpriced. First and last visit for us.

Stopped in here for lunch just after Christmas and was pleasantly surprised. The cafe is located at one end of the Hildreds indoor shopping centre. The cafe is spacious with plenty of room between tables to accommodate pushchairs, prams or wheelchairs etc. Staff were well turned out, friendly and efficient. Don't get me wrong this is not a fine dining establishment but a nice cafe selling honest home cooked grub. There was a fairly large menu consisting of typical cafe food with most dishes priced at £6.50. I went for sausage, egg & chips followed by bread & butter pudding with custard. Portion size was very good and was just what was required on a cold coastal day.

Looked in and decided to pop in. Lovely,clean and bright. Good menu and really friendly service. Opted for coffee and a BLT sandwich. Plenty of Bacon and filling. Very good.

Having missed breakfast I ordered crumpets with my coffee but whatever was spread on them I can't believe that it was butter! The coffee was pretty bad too!

We decided to come here for breakfast as the photos reminded me a cafe where I come from. It was table service. We ordered 2 tradtional breakfasts and the children had sausage bap and sausage toastie. There were plenty of condiments on the table. The drinks arrived swiftly. Our food came, nicely presented and piping hot. My partner did slightly ask to change some of the breakfast items and this was no bother at all. The sausages were good quality and tge bacon was really thick. This lovely little cafe is located in the Hildred centre so we had to find it but it was worth it.

We used this cafe several times during our weeks holiday. They offer a wide range of meals, snacks and drinks. The staff are friendly the place is clean and it's good value for money. We usually don't use the same cafe when on holiday preferring to try different places but when we found this one we had to return again and again.

Well a day at Skegness a great town near the coast we love it and spend a week hear every summer but that another story ok hear for the day with one of my support workers had walk round the town then thought about dinner ok was near to The Cottage Loaf Cafe looking through the window it look ok so decided we would go in and have dinner i had look round and to me it was very clean so after short time in siting down a memember of staff came and we ordered our meal i had a med glass of orange and a tuna salad wen the food came the plates was set out good and plenty of salad things and tuna it was quite full durring our meal

Ordered 2 breakfasts around 9.30. Cheerful friendly service. Pots of tea came first which was very good.

Came here on the way to our hotel. We were early so decided to stop off and have breakfast before continuing to the hotel.

Great to pop in this establishment and sample some good old fashioned favourites, There is a good range of dishes from which to order and all at very reasonable prices. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The place is clean and tidy and well worth a visit for some nourishing food and drink. The only criticism from one of our party was that the quiche was not the best and would have been better if it was a 'crust-less' type.

This is a clean and friendly town centre cafe . We only wanted a drink and had quite good but not wonderful coffee at a reasonable price . Also had herbal tea which was excellent . Service good , efficient and friendly. Strange that there were notices about gluten free and allergies but no soya or other milk alternative

Into our second day of exploring Skegness and we finally found somewhere that offers green food!! And not deep fried!!

Otros alimentos en oferta parecía apetitosos pero mi esposa y yo sólo podía manejar la merienda de bollo grande y nata. Estaban frescos y servidos con rapidez. El dueño era muy agradable y tenía tiempo para charlar un corto después de la comida. En conjunto, es un digno lugar para visitar para experimentar tranquilo sentarse mientras come una comida excelente.

Decir que algunas personas han tenido una mala experiencia en este café realmente sorpresas mi marido y yo visitamos ayer a mediodía. Tomamos té bollos y un chocolate caliente. Que disfrutamos. El servicio fue muy bueno por parte de todos los miembros de personal que nos hable. Me hizo sentir muy bienvenido. La otra comida que vi estar servido a otros clientes parecía porciones de buen tamaño y excelente relación calidad-precio. Yo trabajo en el mismo tipo de industria alimentaria, así que entiendo lo que es trabajar duro para complacer a toda la gente todo el tiempo. No tengo ninguna queja sobre este establecimiento. Fui ayer para almorzar con mi pareja y mi hija, la comida estaba bien, aunque no increíbles y a decir que era cocido y puré fue hecho increíblemente rápido! Lo que nos molestó. La primera camarera una chica joven era muy agradable y sonriente nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos, entonces intercambiamos y nos dieron una señora mayor que no parecen saber cómo sonreír. Todo lo que ella dijo en una salió tan desagradable voz de mal humor y cada vez que mi hija hizo un ruido que ella nos miraba como si estuviera corriendo alrededor causando estragos. Me hizo sentir muy incómoda y al final a la izquierda la mayoría de nuestra comida y nos fuimos. Quizás ella era simplemente tener un mal día? Pero en serio alegrar!

Tuvimos una vez antes y no habían sido impresionados, pero pensamos y así que nos fuimos para el café y la tarta alrededor de las 4:00 pm. El horario de servicio era muy agradable y no me puedo quejar. Las porciones de tarta eran generosos, pero sin duda no es el "hogar". La tarta de chocolate tenía un sabor ligeramente metálico después, es decir, el chocolate / contenido de cacao no podía ser muy alto.

Muy buenas porciones de tamaño en un ambiente muy agradable y encantador. Excelente relación calidad-precio y buen servicio al cliente.

Popped in for lunch whilst on holiday in the area. Absolutely can't rate this place highly enough! Nothing was too much trouble. Staff came to put the tables together to suit our party with no fuss. Table service which is always a bonus and fresh food in fabulous portions. Everyone in my party was impressed. If your in the area this place is a must. Loved it

Visited this cafe while on holiday. We had visited the pier and along the sea-front deciding on what and where to eat. After going through the shopping centre, decided on this place as it had adequate seating. The cafe is table service which is always nice! The first staff member was lovely, taking our order pleasantly and interacting with our child. Food we ordered was a bacon melt, jacket potato with beans and a kids meal. Food arrived quickly and was nice and hot. My only gripe with this place was the price-over £5 for a jacket potato with beans!!! Too expensive and almost made me want to go back to the sea-front where you would've paid half that price. However, the quality of the food can't be disputed-it was a lovely lunch.

Personally this place suits me fine. Type of food I love. I will certainly recommend it. Staff are great and very kind and helpful.

This cafe is situated in a shopping centre and serves sandwiched and cakes and meals , it does not serve Expresso cofee and the coffee is dreadful.We live in Spain and the coffee in the UK is so wak and flavourless, cannot drink it.

When in Skegness usually go to Cottage Loaf for lunch. They do tasty toastie sandwiches, with side salad.

Call in for a drink and snack. Waitress came to Oier table took our order. Very pleasant and attentive young lady nothing wastwo much trouble. Ordered Earl grey tea no milk a skinny latte and two toasted tea cakes made to order.

Food not up to usually standard and service lacking. Very dissapointed after usual this cafe for many visits .

Came here at the weekend while shopping in town, it's a busy café and has a lovely atmosphere. We had a bacon roll a which my hubby really enjoyed and a couple of hot drinks. Good value all round.

My only complaint is, it just is not big enough, it can get a bit crouded at busy times or if you are a group/family of 5/6. but it is very good place to eat, or just drink the time away

It was seeing the Cheese and Tomato Toastie on the menu in the window that drew us into this cafe. Once inside it became obvious we had found a good cafe in this popular resort. My wife had the Toastie and I selected Egg and Chips. The staff were very obliging, the food was excellent and the cleanliness of the place stood out. This will be our eating place when visiting Skegness in the future.

Stopped here at 3.30 and was asked not to sit at the back as it was being cleaned .??Had a coffee and ice cream . The same lady who served us was the same Pearson who was doing the cleaning??The food was fine but a little expensive

Love this place. If you had a long day in Skegness. Sit and relax with tea and cake and watch the people with busy lives come and go. Foods really good as well. Little pricey for tea and cake but what do you. Expect being in skeg Vegas

Nice sized coffee shop which was very busy when we walked past so thought would pop in for a quick tea and coffee.service was a bit slow to start with but guess it was because they were busy,ordered our tea,coffee& tea cake , we thourghly enjoyed it all, the tea cake was large and plenty for the two of us and it arrived very quickly ,would defiantly return again.

We visited the Cottage Loaf Café yesterday (Sunday) and was very pleased with the standard of the food. It was extremely tasty and very well presented buy the staff who were also well presented and polite. The only down side for us was the 2 for £12 menu which offers only one vegetarian option which I did not like and when we asked for another option (which was on the main menu and priced at £6.95, the same as the option on the 2 for £12 menu) we were refused and told we would have to order separately from the main menu which put the cost up. However, the food was hot and tasty and when we are next in Skegness, we will return.

A relatively small café, but what a great cup of coffee they serve and very reasonably priced. Piping hot and it took two hands to drink the large latte and cappucinno my friend and I had. I would recommend this venue.

Called in with my son had coffee for me coke and bacon bap for the boy. Bacon bap £3.15 bit expensive but was ok. Coffee £1.90 but small cup. Worst thing my boys coke £1.50 for a tiny glass. Clean and tidy. Best thing it was nice to be served at the table , not having to go to counter and order was good

We have always enjoyed a breakfast and afternoon tea here for many many years but this weekend the breakfast was disgusting, the beans were the cheapest I have ever seen almost as white as the plate, the egg was not much better at best a pale lemon colour, did not eat either. We all know that there is a great mark up on food in the catering business having been there myself, but to skimp on quality of food is suicidal. We do not complain we simply vote with our feet.

Every time we visit Skegness the first stop is always here for a cuppa and toasted tea cake . Been again today and as always was great service and good food - and a nice cuppa. Cu next time we visit Skeggy.

We went in here a couple of times during our honeymoon for our breakfast/lunch. As I sometimes suffer a bad tummy from eating bread I was extremely happy to see that they serve Gluten free bread, not alot of places in Skeggy cater for people intolerant of Gluten. I had a lovely chip sandwich with this particular bread. The food is always nice and fresh and the staff are lovely always willing to have a quick chat. Looking forward to being able to visit again.

We popped into The Cottage Loaf Cafe on a busy Saturday afternoon for tea and cake. As my husband was using a mobility scooter, we had to wait a short while for an appropriate table to become available. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they accommodated us very well. Tea and cake were lovely albeit a little pricey. This is our second time in Skegness recently and second time in this little cafe.

I visited here with my elderly friend and her husband. My friend is wheelchair bound so is limited to where she can go. We managed to find a table with easy access for the chair to go. On looking at the menu I thought that there were alot of choices and that they were resonable prices. We proceeded with our order for food and drink and both arrived at our table in under ten minutes, we had also ordered at our table. The food was piping hot and very delicious. They do lovely scampi and chips. The restaurant is very clean and staff are helpful and friendly.

Making one of our bi-annual trips to Skeggy we followed tradition and called at this eatery for lunch. The food is excellent and reasonably priced ( egg and bacon bap maybe unhealthy but it's delicious!) . On our last visit they were very busy and rather understaffed but the waitress explained there might be a delay with our food BEFORE she took our order. However, our food appeared I without undue delay. The staff are always pleasant and obliging and the tables are cleared quickly. Conveniently situated next to a large car park if you have a lot of shopping. Well recommended.

Extremely clean with very friendly staff who will go out of their way to meet needs. Very reasonable prices for the good servicd and quality of food. Wide variety in the menu too!
