Popped in for breakfast, we assembled our own from the 'extras' board. Delicious. The bacon was perfect and the bubble and squeak was a meal on its own (and delicious). They close at 2pm and for those reviews complaining about the owner/male server; give the guy a break; he told us he's deaf!

Absolutely horrible experience: the owner of this cafe told me - in front of my three very young children - that he would 'lock us in' if we did not hurry up. We entered the cafe at 1.40pm. The same man accepted our order - and money - without mentioning to us that they close at 2pm. At 2.15pm he and his wife were virtually chasing us out the door, and complaining that my toddlers do not eat as efficiently as the 40+year-old couple who came in just after me. The food may be cheap, but the experience was awful. My children were frightened, and we ended up having to leave with their food in their hands.

Really enjoyed our visit here with our 3 year old son. Staff were very welcoming, food was lovely and it was very clean with plenty of tables. Would recommend if you are anywhere near Burnham on Sea beachfront

A small cafe tucked up a side street just off the seafront. First visit we had breakfast which consisted of 2x bacon, 1x sausage, 1x fried egg, baked beans, sliced potatoes, 1x buttered toast & a mug of tea or coffee. All cooked perfectly & good quality, a bargain at £5.25 each. The next day we went back for lunch, as it was a Sunday they were doing a roast dinner a choice of lamb, pork or beef with roast potatoes, carrots, peas, cabbage, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding & gravy. All cooked perfectly again and a nice sized portion. Accompanied by apple sauce, mint sauce or horseradish. A Choice of pudding with custard, cream or ice cream too all for just £8.00 each. Honest food at honest prices very satisfied customers 👍🏼

I've been visiting the Cottage café for quite a while and have become rather attached to it. It's cosy, comfortable and run by two of the nicest folk you could meet. The food is always freshly cooked and delicious. No, I'm not related to the owners! Do give it a try and enjoy this traditional café - so different from the 'chains' that pervade so many High Streets. I think it's great value.

This Cafe is situated not far front Sea Front. As someone pointed out previously it's a traditional cafe, no fancy coffee machines or decor - hence the reasonable prices.Jacket Potatoes nice as was the homemade mince pies.Quite a small establishment, so if you are a large group you may struggle to get table.

My wife and myself called into this cafe today. Only three other customers in there. I approached the counter to order. The guy didn’t even look up. I politely placed my order .No response except to watch him write it down. I paid. Still no response. We made our way to a table. The bacon baps came along with the teas. Couldn’t fault the food and drink for the money. As we left our seats to leave we were heard “ Goodbye” from both members of staff. Possibly they were glad to see the back of us,probably saw us as an inconvenience.

The first thing to understand here is at that you are in Burnham and Sea. Ok? You have to make allowances. When I visited this cafe with some my family, I have to say that we were not surprised by the welcome we received. We were greeted by a woman who appeared, by her scornful scowl, to question why we were bothering to visit her establishment. The smell of old grease persuaded us not to order the food we were had originally wanted and just a cup of tea would be sufficient. The cup of tea was actually very nice.

On a cold morning went in for breakfast. Got a hot cup of tea and a few minutes later a proper English breakfast. Service was friendly and others in the cafe were talking to each other. The atmosphere was good.

Although the owners are particularly cheery, the breakfast was cooked all fresh to order and was delicious and competitively priced. The cafe is small but very clean and quaint. Good quality bacon. I would return for a good old school English breakfast.

A sunny Friday in late October, and my wife and I had walked a few miles along the beach from Hurn Lane. A little light refreshment needed, we chanced upon the Cottage Cafe. Having studied the menu, my wife asked me to order her toasted tea cake and a cup of tea while she went for a comfort stop.

Had a breakfast in this cafe today. On arrival the woman serving did not smile and was not welcoming, the table had dried tea or coffee on it, with crumbs and sugar. I didn't want to put my new book on a dirty table so I asked the woman serving for a cloth, she was quite grumpy about this and proceeded to wipe the table in an agitated way, swiping the crumbs and sugar off the table and onto me. She then told me it was just because she'd just filled the sugar container! The food was fairly good but the whole experience was spoiled by a grumpy woman serving; I wouldn't recommend

I like Blackmore Farm tearooms usually but today service was poor. Ordered 2 flat white coffees both lukewarm. Also ordered 2 cream teas, since when does a ceram tea come with no tea? If the assistant had said I needed to order tea separately I would have. I'd finished my scone before knowing. Spoilt the experience.
