Probably one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in terms of value for money and experience. Chips tasted of nothing, including potato. Charged £1 for a glass that you don’t want including a portion of coke costing £4, which means 1 soft drink will cost you £5. There’s so many good good options in cornwall but this is not it.

These were the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. The chips weren’t even cooked when we ate here a few days ago. The only edible part of the meal was the battered sausage. My kids had a cone of chips and we were charged £1.50 for a squeeze of ketchup on each portion. Yes that’s £4.50 for a turn squeezing ketchup on chips, disgraceful. Shame because the location is great. The lads serving were nice, that what got them 1 star.

If you‘re looking for the most heinous cafes in the country, then look no further, The Cornish Pantry is for you. If not, do NOT go here. The menu promises good traditional food, but what we got was the opposite. Even the chips manage to be both soggy and hard - it’s like they’re deep-fried in confusion! We asked the staff what is in one of the pies & they couldn’t even reply. To make matters more shambolic, the guy COOKING everything didn’t know either. Overall the food is perfect for those looking to explore new levels of disappointment. You'll find better food in your freezer… but at least the interior is nice I guess

Avoid it! Absolute waste of time. Staff need service skills training. Whilst we were placing our order a member of their team walked past and referred to the curry sauce as slop. The chips we received were raw. And when we complained the chef refused to acknowledge our complaint or change our food. And given the outrageously expensive price tag of £22 for 2 portions of chips and 9 nuggets I wouldn’t recommend it.

The place looked lovely and it was clean. However the food left alot to be desired. Fish and chips was had, Battered sausage and nuggets and chips. They gave you a decent portion size. It was just very bland and didn't taste good. But because it cost 5 people over £100 we were going to eat it! I think you're paying for where you are rather than the food. And as we had gone for the fireworks we had to find something to eat.

Had a ham baguette which was expensive and absolutely revolting. Inedible. If I had dropped it on my toe it would probable have fractured my metatarsal bone. The rock hard and crumbling bread had obviously been sitting there for days, along with the “ham” inside it. There was a board outside that advertised a salad bar, but once lured inside, didn’t exist - probably because the stench of old cooking oil would have wilted the lettuce. Unless you want to spend your holiday knocking back Imodium, I’d steer well clear.

Try to get your head around this one!. So got here at about 0945 hours last week. Was desperate for breakfast and was happy this place was open. Lights on and staff were present so open, yeah?. I then looked at the hot plates and menu and no breakfast. I asked a member of staff if they were serving breakfast and got my reply "NO". My reply was "WHY?". I do not run a business but breakfast is where the money is you clowns.

If you like the feel and standard of canteen food then this is the place for you. The food was what we were expecting, but the service was none existent. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Most of the food ran out and I was told I could wait 20 mins for some pasta for my 9 Yr old to be cooked if I wanted 🤣 They ran out of forks and I had to tell the young gentleman who was struggling to get a tray of them out of a cupboard that there were boxes in the way and that was what was hampering him. Loads of tables were left unclean and piled.up with plates. There was someone on their break eating a fish and chips which I was told was all sold out and taking up a whole bench in the, ahem, restaurant. One final insult was a cream tea that was advertised for £9.95 and for an extra £3 you could have tea with it!!! The £9.95 was just for 2 sorry looking scones with Jam! Needless to say we won't be returning......

Having read other reviews, I was not expecting much, and found it to be good considering there is no competition to keep them on their toes. The staff were helpful but not the best. We had a pasty and coffee, both warm and did the job. We managed to grab a seat by the window with great views of the sea, my son watch the boats go by. All in all, a nice spot to sit down and grab a bite, especially if the weather took a turn for the worst.

Good basic food at cheaper prices than the surrounding options. The canteen dining hall has nice artwork and a good place to rest your bones before going back to the cliffs. They had a vegan option, which was nice if a bit spicy but had delicious pastry, and the cheese pasties and chips were delicious. Staff were nice, and it was a cosy canteen atmosphere.

We stopped in here for food on our visit to Land's end day trip on holiday. When we walked in, it was clean and tidy. We joined the cue for food and was dished up what we asked for, Which was pasty chips and beans but was presented awful and kind of reminded me of school dinners back when I was at school 20 years ago, just sloop on a plate really. When we went in to sit down there were no forks in the tray and 3 members of staff just standing around chatting not even noticing me and another lady standing there waiting for their attention. Once we did manage to get a word in and forks delivered to us the rest of lunch went without fault. So constructive critizum Food prep could do with improving maybe get bigger plates if your staff can fit it on the plate properly and staff need to be more alert when it comes to customers wanting their attention

What a truly dismal affair this establishment is, from its overpriced below average food through its couldn’t care-less staff to its way, way out of date 60’s decor and surrounding structures all together makes this eatery that when compared to its European counterparts immediately across the water an embarrassment to the word hospitality. This coupled with the “I’m-in-it-for-as-much-as-I can-get” policy the car parks in the U.K. adopt renders what should be a world class facility that offers outstanding views of the ocean simply something youd want to tip into the ocean.

It's edible food that fills a need when you've been driving around all day with two small children. The food was dry and flavourless, condiments which may have helped are extra. The pasty, chips and beans apparently doesn't come with beans, the kids fish, chips and peas doesn't come with peas either. I feel this just added to the reflux from rather bland colourless plate I consumed. Of the three meals we ordered they forgot to bring mine out, but to be fair when I told them they were very apologetic and piled on an extra scoop of the dry chips. The tables and chairs were clean, seemingly because they had been swept into the floor, which was dirty. There weren't any flies inside, I assume this is due to the abundance of cobwebs on the ceiling. Why two stars? It was sustenance and I haven't been sick, yet.

My cousin has always wanted to go to The Lands End Attraction and before last week, had never been to Cornwall. After having our fill of Lands End we thought we'd eat at The Cornish Pantry. She chose the Cottage Pie meal. The server took the lid off the Vegetables and they looked as if they'd been in the water for hours so my cousin chose not to have the veg and the only other choice was new potatoes ... so Cottage Pie and new potatoed it was. I chose the fish and chip meal but I was told there would be a 15 minute wait for the fish, so I said it was OK and we went to pay for our meals and 2 cups of tea. My cousin had two mouthfuls of the cottage pie and pushed the plate away. She said it was dry and disgusting. With that, about 15 mins after we had sat down a server comes up to us and says she thinks my dinner has been given to another customer. That was the straw unfortunately, so we requested a refund for both meals which we duly got. Honestly the food was awful, rank The staff couldn't have cared less and the attitude was amazing (not in a good way). There was no-one there over the age of 18 I'd say. First of all you stand waiting to pay whilst your food is going cold and when you pay blimey what a price. Also a different price to what is advertised on the entrance board. Putting this disappointment to one side we sat outside to eat. The pasty had 2 pieces of what looked like beef jerky inside and tasted like salt pie. I know there are overheads, but really? Pasties would cost £11 retail and even expensive drinks would be maximum £8 retail.

A packed day at Lands End so this place was heaving, had to queue like a canteen then after half an hour ordered food but had to wait a further ten minutes for it. no clean tables so cleared our own. when it was cleaned it was left sticky and horrible.there was food all over the floor and all tables were dirty, clearly not enough staff to cope. The food was poor with tinned garden peas, oven chips that werent cooked enough and battered fish that was overcooked. Take heed of these reviews, this place is dire!

Overpriced garbage!! I've never been to a place that proudly boasts about food, in this case the humble Cornish Pasty, and get it so wrong! Again, the only thing this place has in its favour, is its location! There doesn't appear to be many places to eat so tourists are stuck for choice. And with no choice comes laziness, this place has laziness in spades!!!!

Visited Lands End on a cloudy day as a family of four, queued 20 minutes to get in the car park due to a power cable collapse and having trawled round the attractions (some quite good) we were hoping for a good meal in what appeared to be a decent restaurant, however as soon as we entered we realised our mistake, so much like a motorway services it was uncanny. Stodgy fish and chips and tasteless pasta for the children, wished we hadn't bothered, and had left and gone into St Just (fabulous by the way). Don't waste your money, time or anything else, and go somewhere else.

This is one of the reasons visitors complain about attractions like Land's End, overpriced, uncaring cheap rubbish at a premium price, give it a miss, pop down to Sennen and the Cove for quality eats.

We stopped here for some food as the main restaurant at Land's End was closed. I really wish we hadn't bothered. The service was appalling, the food warm and bland at best and generally just a waste of time and money when there are so many better options in Cornwall.

Good simple food, hot and fresh. Seating is basic inside but does the job. If your hungry you will eat but damn this place is expensive..crazy prices..A shame because it's really not worth it. Makes you feel very much like it's a captive audience and tourists can pay the price..I guess that they do but it's a lot. If prices were better this place would be a lot busier.

Just like being back at School although it felt like the pupils were now serving the teacher's! Basic food, slightly overpriced. You don't have a lot of choice, of places to eat, so beggars can't be choosers and this is obviously monopolized. Oh dear!

Came here after going Landsend for the morning, the view from the restaurant blows you away other than that nothing else really does. We had cream tea with a coffee and a tea and the scones came in a box with a tiny pot of cream and 2 large pots of jam and a plastic knife to cut the scones with. It was quite expensive considering you didn't get a lot. The hot drinks were from a machine that did all sorts of drinks and they were really weak and tasteless. The view though made up for the food.

On the plus side the restaurant is warm and out of the wind and had a lovely view out across rate Atlantic. Unfortunately the food was of a low standard and very expensive. They had run out of just about everything when we visited, including Cornish pasties, which was a disappointment. If we visited again we would have a hot drink, tea or hit chocolate, as there are free refills, and enjoy our own picnic.

we stopped here as the only one open on our visit, and my friend commented to the staff, asking if the fish was on a diet , as the portion was small for the high cost. my wife had the Cornish pasty and that was bigger. but the food was good and so was the service. it was clean and tidy.

Sandwiches in cardboard triangles, serve your own drinks from machines, the hot food looked cremated, and greasy. Staff wandered away when I tried to ask them a question, tables left uncleared, and covered with a thin layer of grease. It takes you back to motorway service stations in the 1960s. If the prices were 60s it might be passable, but they are not.

Foreign staff gave no manners....FACT !!!!My partner and I ordered some food whihc was too hot to eat and was flabourless even though it was a 'Traditional' cornish pasty more like something brought in from a cheap supermarket more like.Till staff was extremely rude due to my gentle asking of why the drinks machine was empty for certain drinks. The reply I got from this petulant immigrant was "it's empty no one to fill, you can't have it see cup upside down that say it empty why you don't understanf". Fair enough but in Britain love we have such a thing as common courtsey.Needless to say this was an experience tgat dampened the experience if Land's End a tad. The annoying thing is that this 'I can't live in my own country so i'll come here and claim your benefits' person hadn't probably heard of Land's End before she came of the boat...

I fancied a Cornish cream tea and was disappointed to find two small scones in a box and no clear indication of where to get the hot drink. Only 3 members of staff on duty, one was quite rude to another customer and the conservatory area was like a sauna and most of the tables had not been cleared from previous guests. Food quality looked poor. I will not go back.

Staff is friendly, the seating is okay. There’s also outdoor seating. The sandwiches aren’t that good however and there’s not much choice in food and drinks. Therefore it should be cheaper.
