Worst pasties in Cornwall both cheese and traditional were dripping with grease from base sent back without an apology or even communication from staff very disappointed won't be returning

On more occasions than not, the pasties are greasy, or overcooked. The chicken pasties are the same, delicious if you get a good one, but more often than not, overcooked. Many times I've had to scoop the insides out and throw away the pastry. So, if they are so bad, why did I give a 4 star rating? well, the insides are nearly always delicious despite the pastry's condition.

Three pasties and three chicken pasties, all shortcrust. All got the thumbs up from the family. Went into Redruth center on the way home on a Sunday, no where open. On the way out to the A30 found this place. Result!

Having visited the nearby NT tin mine we wanted an authentic Cornish pasty & these certainly didn't disappoint. My hubby chose a 'proper' beef one; but mine with chicken was equally perfect, as was the vegan version our son had. The pastry was delicious & extremely moreish. A wonderful treat on our holiday!!

I'm not a Cornish native, so was really looking forward to having a lovely traditional Cornish pasty on my business trip. The Cornish Oven did not disappoint. Lovely pastry, crammed full of perfectly cooked veg and meat. It was lovely and juicy, and super tasty! Absolutely loved it! Yum!

Bought a flaky pastry steak pasty (no shortcrust left) Really poor effort - the pastry was very greasy, the meat contained several inedible pieces of gristle, and the cubed veg was undercooked. 1st and last visit to The Cornish Oven.

I called in here a few weeks back, it's been a while since we had pasties from here. This time I was walking, I walked up the steps the opposite side of the carpark. As I did a gentleman had just walked out so I walked in to be rudely spoken to by a lady informing me the queue was by the carpark. Might be a good idea to put signs on the window near the steps seeing as customers can access the shop that way too, would avoid any confusion im sure I'm not the first. Pasties were really nice a big improvement than the ones we had previously

Just like the Camborne one brilliant service and food. Cornish oven in my opinion is best now locally for bakery foods.

Somewhat better than the run of the mill tourist mass production cornish pasty brigade. Nice pastry, a good meat content, not badly filled with ingredients that look something like veg and well seasoned. Staff nice & efficient, we'll come again.

As the title says, sometimes the pasties are brilliant other times under cooked resulting in hard veg which is just not for us. Shame as the pasties here really could be the best in the area if only they were consistently good!

Bought some after visiting the East Pool Mine, absolutely delicious. Huge and filling, can see why they are popular with locals!!

We buy pasties from here every couple of weeks or so. They have always been very good, the pastry in particular is great. We haven't tried the other branches of this little chain but I would expect them to be as good. Very highly recommended.

Had another cornish pasty here lunchtime ..What more can I say ...Truly scrumptious flaky pastry to die for . Melts in your mouth and full with delicious meat and vegetables Will come back again and again ..To me ,,the best pasties in Cornwall and at a reasonable price with happy friendly staff serving with a smile . Love Cornish Oven Pasties ...

Visited here today and purchased a medium steak omg it’s huge!!!! And very tasty great value will be back ☺️

Pleasantly surprised by the pasties we purchased from here, pasties were hot and throughougly enjoyed. Very close in the running for top spot alongside philps! 👌

I've had literally dozens of pasties from here and they do not disappoint , much better than the usual shop ones , will continue to buy from here

This is by far my favourite fat b##tard pasty! If you're feeling like you deserve a beauty for all your hard work you've done, get a flaky steak!

We needed to find an alternative place to buy our pasties, as the quality had declined deeply in the shop we had been using.First, my husband was given the choice of "shortcrust or flaky". To get an option is extraordinary enough in itself. He chose shortcrust. Needless to say, I would have chosen flaky, but it's good to know that you have a choice.For a "Medium" the pasty was pretty big. Certainly more than a snack. Some you buy can only be considered a "cocktail pasty". There were decent chunks of real beef skirt, it was not mince as you will find in many pasties, even supposedly good ones. The seasoning was very good, a perfect amount of pepper, I thought. They were very good value for money too. All in all an excellent find. But next time we'll have flaky!

Had pasties from here in August and they were beautiful . The meat was lovely and it was well cooked ..We had flaky pastry instead of short crust ones ,,and i can honestly say one of the best I've eaten for a long time ..Staff were friendly and courteous and smiled .., polite and well mannered , Good value and not too expensive .Come here for your pasty ..you wont regret it ,,,Highly recommended for sure .

wow what amazing pasties. varied sorts of pasties, but all very put together. Lovely and hot. Staff very helpful. a must try for anyone!
