Convenient to main through route in helston . Large car park makes it easy to park and collect a pack of frozen pasties to take home and cook They even provide cooking instructions

We are down in Cornwall on holiday for the week from Lancashire. We have had a beef pastie every lunchtime from Monday through to Thursday.excellent helpful friendly staff, excellent quality food very well done 👍 😊👏

I love a flakey steak pasty from here and the staff are really friendly.. Also worth trying their white chocolate millionaire shortcake!!

We always get our frozen steak pasties from here in Helston to take home for the family at the end of our holidays. They are full of tender skirt & well seasoned veg .... we're never disappointed! They also do gluten-free (the only traditional Cornish pasties we've found), which means our daughter, who is Celiac, doesn't miss out & she says they're as delicious as non gluten free ones.

Asked for a flakey med pasty was given a shortcrust which I don't eat. So through it away. What a waste of money. If I was near the shop when looked would of taken it back

Heading out for a beach clean at Gunwallow, armed myself with a sumptuous meat pasty from the Cornish Oven.

Karen the manager rude unpleasant and unhelpful. Won’t be returning to this business as she clearly doesnt want customers.

£4.60 for a medium flavourless flakey steak. Very bland, very disappointing, won’t be back again. Staff were friendly. Do not recommend.

Decent coffee and nice bacon bite but extremely slow service first thing in the morning. Asked for an iced finger. Only to find a stale danish in the paper bag. I'll be bringing it back in the morning.

I asked for a vegetable pasty, unfortunately I was given a cheese pasty. It's not the first time, they've got it wrong. Last time, when I went back, they willingly provided me with what I'd asked for originally. This time, I'm now too far away to go back.

Good pasties, a little bit overpriced. But all in all, good grub.

Opening times on the website and Google say Helston branch is open until 4pm on Thursdays (google updated by the business a month ago). Visited on 5 October at 15:05 to find it closed and times on the door say closes at 15:00 every day

Went here just to see how nice it was and I've got to say the nicest cornish pasty shop I've ever had it was all cooked to perfection freshly baked and there was a offer for two sausage rolls for 2.50 these were deliscous. everything had a perfect meat to pastry ratio. Got two sausage rolls, two steak pastys one shortcrust-one flaky,chicken pasty, a kinder Bueno doughnut,a custard donut and a white choclate caramel shortbread. It was absolutely lovely definitely visiting again

We have just come back from a 7 night holiday in helston. And before we left we bought some pasties for family. Great prices and the pasties are huge.

Had a flakey steak pasty from here. The steak was perfectly cooked and plenty of veg too. Hubby had a shortcrust steak and agreed they were beautiful pasties!

I went to the Newquay shopping area. I went there just to used the toilet. But the cakes look appealing. I ordered a Bakewell tart, coconut raspberry cake. Also another cake. They were delicious, mosit soft, and tasty. Really enjoyed it.

Got a flaky steak pasty. For the most part I thought I got the wrong pasty as it was mostly vegetables - but finally at the end of it was one small strip of steak. Not too impressed, seems rather pointless to go for a steak if you barely get any inside of it. There are other Cornish brands out there that don’t require their branding to spell out that their Cornish (and have good ratios of meat to vegetables).

Great pasties, just finished medium sized one for my lunch, and it was lovely, very filling and it fed two people. Good value will call again when in Helston😁

Stopped when passing through and was not disappointed by 2 huge fresh pasties for almost £9.

Friendly staff and delicious food! Highly recommend popping in for a flaky steak pastie if you're in the area, or even if you're not! Go out of your way to go here! You will not be disappointed.

Regularly visit Cornwall to see family and always pop in here to grab some frozen pasties to take home. Great vegetarian choices and my husband always says how good the meat one is. Also the coffees are fab and cheese and onion slice is delicious. Basically... Give it a visit, worth every penny!

Quite honestly the most amazing pasty I’ve ever had. The flaky steak was absolutely delicious. My daughter had a cocktail pasty which was in a shortcrust pastry and that was also really yummy. The cheese and onion was good too. Perfect ratio of meat to veg, stunning!

I visited my mum in Helston last week( I'm actually from there) and before we left we bought 6 pasties . They were so nice that my son ( who was also staying with mum..he arrived as we left!!) bought another 10 today!!

We made an impulse stop at The Cornish Oven on our way back home after a week's holiday at the coast. Those pies were the best Cornish pies we ever tasted. On our next visit to Cornwall we will most certainly stop there again.

Cornish pasties, I have had better, mainly cause the meat isnt mixed in with the rest of the veg, just a piece near the middle. they don't do broccoli but swap a trad (meat) with cheese only, all the rest is the same.

Nice pasty but a little short on pepper and seasoning. But overall the standard pasty is very nice.

Not been to the shop for couple years due to the disgusting pasties sold there. By far a better Pastie shop down in the town. As a born & breed Cornishman i can say hand on heart they are far from even a good pasty. We was short for time so gave them a try gain. OMG what a insult to a pasty, FLAT like a Frisbee, 100% uncooked ( cant you cook with your eyes and see they were not cooked) and flaky LOL 100% NOT flaky just soft doughy pastry and so so so grease. If we wasn't so far away i would of gone back but our good deed for the day was to feed the gulls.

Paid £4 for a steak pastie one bit of steak should have asked for a veg pastie and luke warm, would advise to goto Gear Farm

Being Cornish I was excited about bring my mates back some proper Cornish pasties they looked the part smelt the part so imagine my shock when I bit into it and it was all diced !!!!!??? W.T.F. when has anyone ever diced there pasty veg !!!!!? It was just soooooo wrong on so many levels .I know the world has gone slightly crazy at the mo but this is beyond xxxxxxx

You only have to get into the queue that is always outside here to understand that so many local people can not all be wrong to buy their pasties because they are great tasting.

Great service at a great price. And thecfood is great as well.

Normally pasty are lovely but had one on Monday and it was horrible, needless to say won't be having another one from helston shop for a long time.

I do love a good pasty, and these are GOOD pasties. Not forgetting the sweet cakes as well.

Dropped in, because my "Old Pastie place" no longer makes them. VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. Very, very good. Ate it in the car park, then went back in and purchased some XXL Frozen to take away. The XXL, are just that. More than MAN SIZED. Very, very good and a fair price Looks like I found a new " Favourite pasty place."

Best Cornish pastie we’ve ever had, fresh, hot and not dry. We went early in morning around 10.30am so maybe worth going early, had a flakey chicken and steak , highly recommend

Fantastic friendly place. Popped in to buy 10 pasties for friends back home. Well you can't beat a "proper" Cornish pasty can you? Any way we came away with 10 frozen, cook at home pasties (who knew they were even a thing?) Followed the given instructions and they came out as good as they do in the shop. Absolutely fantastic and well chuffed to bits. Thank you x

Never have I had a more vile pasty! Had weekly ones from here but stopped during covid. Go back to have my first one today and was totally disappointed. Vegetable had no seasoning what so ever, was full of onion and only a couple bits of spud. The pastry was that greasy it soaked through both paper bags by the time we drove 15 minutes to eat it!! The sign outside saying "one in the shop at a time" is in grey and blends in with the other multiple window signs - surely this should stand out and be in big bold red lettering. Think I'll be going to Philps in future. Feel sad you've let me down Cornish Oven!

Really good prices for big pasties and delicious cake - the steak pasty was excellent, with tender meat. Can also highly recommend the honeycomb tiffin

Brilliant espresso, and all variations of coffee you could want, but the key to them all is that they know how make espresso and are using quality, properly roasted beans. Cakes are great, bacon roll was lovely and the staff at Helston are fantastic. If you are in desperate need of a proper coffee, then for ease of access, you need to pay them a visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed there pasties

Having eaten many pasties whilst on holiday in Cornwall, my daughter and myself have rated these pasties as the best we've eaten from a local chain. You have a choice off flaky or shortcrust pastry (flaky was our choice) and they do veggie options too. Proper chunks of meat in the steak pasties make them a really good bite, unlike others that give you just a smidging of meat flavour without the texture to follow! All in all, a fab pasty! Only thing that let them down was the way we where greated on the door! Helston, you can get more than 2 people through the door!! We all understand covid! 🙂

Got to be the worst chicken pasty I have ever eaten ,basically it was dry chicken and veg ,none of the sauce you normally get in one ,gross won't buy there again

Was pleasantly surprised by the size of my breakfast. (Small but huge & hot). Tasted marvelous with some clotted cream fudge.

Great tasting pasties that are well baked. Pretty consistent pasties each time we've visited. The traditional steak is very good but my family love the cheesy vegetable pasties and rate them very highly. An efficient covid safe system in place with an under cover queuing area. Staff friendly and efficient.
