Great little shop, although part of a national chain has a small local feel, staff are professional, courteous and friendly at all times. Lots of nice freshly made pastries and great coffee. All the staff are equally nice in good measure, not fair to single out any individual for praise, however Mel a manager is a great leader of the team

A cold, windy January Monday morning in Whitby. Time for a coffee. And what a coffee. One of the best cappuccinos I've had since I was in Indonesia and sampled the eye wateringly expensive Kopi Luwak! Lovingly prepared by the amazing Chantel and professionally served by Joanne, this could nearly be the best place to have coffee in town. But it didn't get 5 stars simply because there was no loo. Small thing (lack of loo, not that), but important for men over 60 on a cold day. However, I don't want to take the proverbial with this review and would undoubtedly return on a warm day and empty bladder!!

The cakes are to die for and are very tasty and so are the Cornish pastries. The prices are reasonable as well, the only thing that I am disappointed about is that you can only pay by card! I have a question? What would happen if their card machines weren’t working, they would happily take your cash then.

We dropped in for a nice warm cup. We saw many visitors returning to their tables with tables with cups and saucers of coffee and pastries. After ordering our drinks and paying for them, we were then told we would have paper cups? We said we did not want these but the frosty barister jumped in and said you are offered paper cups because there are only 2 of us?! Strange as it was 14:42 when we ordered and the customers before us got proper cups. When we pressed the point the barister became snippy and said if you have a problem with it I can see what I can do! Needless to say the staff spoiled what would be a plesent visit and we will not recommend, nor return here again.

Happy to start then massive fight outside, drugs being used and the man in the pink shorts and the door nan without a tooth were very much together with what was going on. Niot very nice to the public that tried to help but police did arrive then they were back in laughing aborting beating up the poor guy. Not going back ever disgusting behaviour by the staff and doorman.

So Saturday visit, unsupervised children messing about in toilets, running around, a dog that wouldn't stop wineing, sticky tables. Good staff, good service. Review 2. Wi-fi improved seems to work now. Good offer of baked potato and sift drink for £6.50. Old visit: The wi fi provided is very poor, slow and drops out. I tried ordering twice over the app an wi fi and it failed both times. No toilet roll in the toilet and no soap either.
