A fantastic jem at this time of day. The staff are friendly which always starts the day well. I ordered the Big breakfast, which was large enough to feed me .. That also starts the day well. Overall I can say this is one of the best spoons I have visited. I'd love to thank the staff for their friendly service and happy atmosphere they project. What a great way to start the day before heading over for a training day. Well done everyone.

It's great that Wetherspoons are looking after this superb building, the old corn exchange. Their drinks fare is standard Wetherspoons as expected but at a very good price.

Would never go here again the staff and manager craig are bullies and pick on vulnerable adults don't listen to you when you try and explain the situation and discriminates agaist people with learning disabilities and wheelchair users i also think who ever is in charge of weatherspoons should review their polices as they have signs up saying they will not tolerate any kind of bullying but then have staff who bully them selfs especially craig the manager we have also reported this to the police as a hate crime

Quite frankly, disgusted. It was freezing cold but not as cold as the food. Complained and whole dish was reheated, briefly in the microwave and it was re-served bone dry and tasteless Paid extra for cheese on jacket potato, needed a magnifying glass to find it. Always been here before and had lovely, hearty food. Now, portions are meager, service is begrudging, prices have gone way up for less & worse food. Will not step foot in here again- suggests others avoid it too.

A very large Wetherspoons in the middle of town .Was a lovely place but you had to go upstairs , great entrance but could be shown that a lift is available for people that struggle with stairs , could not see that a lift was available . Plenty of seating was very busy but not long wait to get service , however no cider available only bottled which was a shame .But lovely place .

I’ve been working down here for 12 months , i’ve visited this Spoons once a week since I arrived ,all I can say whoever is in charge of ordering food supplies needs to walk ! I have been in here approx 20 + times and asked for the char grilled chicken and it’s not available. If you cannot provide it don’t put it on the menu.

The fries had a tasty seasoning & the chicken was the best I've tasted in a long time.

They have now changed there name to Queens Cafe This is the first time in visiting since the change but what a great change we wanted a breakfast and nothing to heavy. The menu had lots of different foods including British but I found the Mediterranean Breakfast at £7.00, which was great value. The food was freshly made and hot and nice it was perfect for me and a little different from the normal British fry up but will definitely have this again. The waiting staff were very attentive and was really lovely to see smiling faces. The food was truly lovely bringing great memories of holiday back.
