Food was terrible, left after the one course.

I ate here with my Mother who has a severe lactose intolerance. The lady who took my order made sure she was aware of the allergy and even looked at the ingredients on one of the sauces. It was refreshing to note how much care was taken in asking when ordering. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good, as expected. You are doing a great job, thank you.

We came in for a drink as it’s our 30 month anniversary we came in and was immediately greeted by Richy who was so happy and polite! He made us our drinks perfectly to how we asked and was joking around with us and made us feel so at home! He was so funny and a delight to be served by! Would definitely recommend this place purely for his interaction! Brilliant staff member and an asset to the company

We came in today for our daughter’s second birthday and was served by Ricky. He was polite, service on point and gave our daughter a little lion teddy key ring even though he didn’t have to it was a nice gesture and she is now obsessed with it. All round great service.

Last meal i had was deliciousand good value for money. Barstaff were extremely attentive. The team were happy to serve me and my friends. Will definitely return.

Massive change since it's been taken over by Gary (i think that's his name) and his team! Was served very quickly, really lovely staff guy, Richard I believe, friendly, quirky, nothing was to much trouble x Food was fast, hot, lovely, so SO pleased as we stopped using this particular pub as it went down hill but well done to the new manager and team for bringing it back!

Had lunch with a couple friends. Food was good for the price and clean and Steve was very polite and helpful.

Another dilapidated, underfunded and neglected brewery run restaurant. Microwaved food, half the menu missing, broken old furniture and a general rather sad environment. Only popped in for something quick to eat. Saving grace was the waitress Ann-Marie she was really friendly, professional and saved the experience from being a total waste of time.

The food was what you’d expect in any Greene king establishment so no big surprises there. The interior has clearly seen better days and really needs a total redecoration job. Our server Ann Marie was fantastic, really friendly and provided some recommendations. Service with a smile and it’s so lovely to see that hospitality in some form is still well and truly alive. Thank you!

Service is really bad since you have to wait a long time before ordering and having someone at the counter. Food is really average + took a long time and drinks have no taste. Do not recommend at all.

Went there today before work as I had a tesco voucher to use. Placed an order for a roast beef dinner. Quite a long wait for mine to arrive and seeing someone who ordered after me get theirs before was odd. Then a family who turned up a good 20 minutes after myself were presented with a roast beef dinner. The manager then came and took that particular plate away and 5 minutes later I was served mine. Same plate I'm assuming. Now the dinner, as a hungry horse you don't expect the best quality but you would expect it to be a bit above luke warm. The peas were like bullets and the green beens hard and a challenge to chew. The beef was acceptable but the mash was a solid lump. It wasn't a particularly busy afternoon so would have expected slightly better and I understand they can only serve what they're supplied with - just let it heat up a little longer and serve those in order. I've been there a few times and had a decent meal so maybe an off day.

First time at this pub, popped in after bowling as the wait for food there was over an hour. Was instantly disappointed at the lack of tables available, not due to customers but due to plates and glasses from previous patrons. I had to use wet wipes to clean the table before we sat down with the kids and baby. After we ordered food, I overheard complaints from other customers regarding waiting an hour for a portion of chips, getting the wrong order and the lack of cleanliness. We did get our food in a timely manner and the kids enjoyed it, my husband found his mixed grill was all deep fried at the same time so some items were over done however his burger was cooked perfectly, medium rare. My husband ordered the kids desserts but after half an hour for just ice-cream and a brownie, my daughter asked how long it would be and they said they didn't realise we were still waiting and would do it now, after 10 further minutes we left and grabbed a dessert from Macdonald's on the drive home. Overall it spoiled our day out

Be careful with the advertised special offers, eg feed the family for £x, these actually require a keen eye to decipher what you really can and can't have. Unfortunately the bar staff weren't able to help much more other than explaining what the till would allow or not allow. We ended up paying the same as a fancy restaurant in town for microwave meals, dirty and missing cutlery, and chef smelling of cigarettes.

Visited the greengage pub today, the assistant manager Michelle was so lovely, she accidentally pushed the wrong button and helped rectify this issue. After trying to do a refund the General Manager Gary was so rude and rushed into not bothering about his staff. Turned around and said to Michelle that he didn’t have time to show her what to do and rushed off. I felt so sorry for Michelle and she deserves some praise! However the General manager pfttt I’m sorry was so rude to his staff. You ask for medium to well done steak and it still comes out mooing. Onion rings were anaemic

Had a great lunch at the Greengage with Clare being a wonderful host. Been here several times on before and always seem to have a decent meal with great service included.

The wrap was burnt and hard. Not even folded like a wrap. Added cheap American cheese when it didn't state it came with it. Fries burnt. The lemonade was the best but about it.

I came for a family members birthday & the staff were amazing, Anna behind the bar was so fast and polite, the food was delicious, will definitely be coming again.

We came here for my daughters 13th birthday and had a lovely time. The food was great and at a great price. All the staff were friendly and happy. We had a lady called Claire serving us and she made the whole experience brilliant for us all. Thank you so much Claire and we'll see you again soon.

I’ve had very nice food here in the past, but not today - Sun 30 June. Greeted by a miserable young man with a ponytail (that’s not the issue). He was unfriendly and even a bit scary. The fish was fried too dark and was flat (like plaice but it was cod). It was dry. The chips were lukewarm. The cutlery was dirty. On replacing that - it was no better. Sorry.

Popped in for a quick meal after work. Food was good and Rohan who served was energetic, efficient and fun. We couldn’t finish the ultimate candy mania dessert but it was lush.

Went last night with a couple friends to have a couple of drinks and some picky bits. The staff were really friendly and polite. We ordered the chicken strips and they were delicious. Met gary who asked us how our food was and we told him it was great. Will definitely go there again.

Met with friends for lunch. The staff (Russ and his assistant) were very welcoming. We tried the curry and drink offer and it was a very nice curry and good value. Cheesecake was nice too. Will go again.

Was disappointed by another pub in the area so drove to this one as it was the nearest to where I was. Great pub and warmly welcomed as I walked in by Clare who was the perfect host. Chatty, friendly and took my order promptly. Pub itself is what I’d expect from a food pub. Ordered a steak… was perfect and so glad I came here instead. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Clare and Russel on duty, gave their undivided attention , very helpful and polite. Especially Claire, bent over backwards to make sure we were happy , comfortable and had what we needed! A very pleasant visit .

Amazing service, we was really well looked after from start to finish the staff bent over back wards to accommodate myself, my partner and 3 fussy children . Russ the new GM was brilliant he really interacted with the children and made them laugh and made time to come over and introduce himself . The food was delicious can’t fault it will be back again . Lovely meal out with our with family in the school holiday. Very busy, but the staff handled it extremely well and was very accommodating

I usually love coming here, however on this occasion the whole experience was not what I would have expected. I ordered my food at 16:22 and my starter didn't arrive until 40 mins later. Being on my own, I was hesitant to leave my table to ask at the bar in case someone came and took my seat or if my food arrived whilst I was queuing. My starter, hallumi sticks with chilli sauce, was lukewarm as if it had been left under a heat lamp and forgotten about. They tasted fine enough but not worth the £6 odd I paid. I finished my food quickly as I was very hungry at this stage and then proceeded to wait a further 20 minutes for my main course to arrive. All the while, patrons who arrived after I did were being served their food! A kind bar staff member offered to get me another drink whilst I waited, which I appreciated greatly. When my main eventually arrived, the Home Run burger with fries, it was missing the salt and pepper seasoning that I paid extra for. I didn't bother to hail a member of staff because I didn't think it was worth it for 50p. The burger itself was OK but missing the burger sauce as advertised. The fries were cold by the time they arrived. I don't think it makes a difference whether I enjoyed the food or not at this point. The whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I left feeling very unhappy. This is the first time that this has happened, and although I do want to give them another chance in the future, I won't hurry back. This review isn't indicative of the staff I encountered; everyone I came into contact with was polite, friendly and apologetic. It's just a shame the quality of food and lengthy wait times overshadowed the service. Disappointing.

Had the big curry on the Special night with a pint could not believe the plate of food that turned up and even more it included a pint and all for a tenner must be the best value in town! All served quickly by friendly staff
