Pros - Nice ambience. - As we were the only family, they accepted our request to change the songs playing. - I had got my own cake for my Uncle as he doesn't eat sugar. they decorated the cake well. and got it with candles. CONs - We went here to celebrate on a Monday, I am a vegetarian , and Indian. We ordered Paneer Shashlik, and Gujrati Veg biryani for dinner. The food was horrible. It has no flavours , no salt. I assumed it would be a marinated Paneer. They served us 3 thin slices of paneer, with one piece of tomato, pepper and onion. Nothing was marinated. It was just grilled with oil. Then Biryani was another disaster. It was the worst Biryani I have ever had. It had no flavour, just salt, though they said it was medium spicy. They had put big big pieces of Ginger, unfortunately first 3 bytes I had the 3 pieces. We literally went hungry home. Chips we ordered for my daughter was the only good dish. Some family members ordered non veg food, it was equally horrible. No taste at all. If you are an Indian, avoid this place. You will be disappointed as its all catered for British taste. and it has no flavours.

What a gorgeous setting, decor beautiful and the place is so clean. Waiters were attentive and were so helpful. Food was amazing everything tasted so fresh and was absolutely delicious. This is an amazing restaurant that has a vast menu with a more sophisticated menu. Can’t wait to go again, a gem of a place, my new favourite.

4th time have been to this restaurant and absolutely faultless. Top class food and service. Today was the Sunday menu. At £16.95 for poppadoms, mixed starter, choice of naan bread and either boiled or pillau rice, together with a choice of 5 different main/side dishes to choose from. It is classed as buffet but it's only the main dishes you need to go to get yourself Everything is top quality.

Visited with friends for the Sunday afternoon set meal, at £16.95, food was fantastic value and delicious. We had poppadoms, a selection of starters. A choice of rice and naan breads brought to the table and help yourself curries, including a chickpea dish, chicken korma, lamb saag, bombay aloo and another chicken dish. The service was brilliant, very attentive, checking on us and offering more rice and naan.

First time at the Coriander and was drawn in by the beautiful interior. I couldn’t fault the service but would choose a different curry next time as the korma wasn’t to my taste nor was the Bombay potatoes. Think I am just used to flavours from another restaurant. I loved the atmosphere and decors and service but felt the meal was overpriced. Might try it again sometime but too expensive for my purse.

Spur of the moment decision to come here and we were impressed. 4 mature guys with a lot of dining experience between us and we really enjoyed our visit. A nice warm welcome and attentive staff but most importantly excellent food. I had the Maharajah Lamb, big chunks of slow cooked meat in a tasty curry sauce- excellent. Overall a high quality restaurant which we will happily revisit, well done guys.

This restaurant took over from the Elachi which itself replaced the Shimla Pink. Each time they changed they’ve hiked the prices, this time some of the portions have also been tweaked smaller, an obvious one is four onion bahgis are now three. They charge for pickles to go with your popadoms, I don’t know another restaurant that does this? Had a Chicken Jalfrezi, awful lot of onions which after eating the chicken and sauce, we left. The flavours are good, only time will tell if customers think it’s good value

This restaurant was amazing. Five Star all around. Lovely decorated and a great atmosphere. The staff are really attentive, really friendly and joined in with the banter. The food was absolutely delicious. The lamb in my tikka was so tender. The Peshwari naan was the best I’ve ever tasted. They also don’t rush you to leave we stayed all evening (2nd last to leave). Thank you for an amazing evening we will definitely be returning.

We first had dinner here as a family in November, the food was delicious and the staff were so kind that we decided to come back for Christmas dinner. Their festive menu was again delicious! The waiters literally cannot do enough for you they're all so attentive and they were all going out of their way to make sure our 1 year old son had everything he needed.

This review is based on a takeaway. Found it very expensive for an average restaurant. Was looking forward to trying this takeaway but very underwhelming. We chose pick up, not delivery. The papodum extras were so expensive, £1.20 for a tiny pot of onion salad, and the same price for a tiny pot of mango chutney and same price for an even smaller pot of mint sauce, which was sweet. Starter, £4.75 for two tiny, and I mean tiny vegetable samosas. The prawn puri was very sweet and prawns really tough, but actually a large size portion. For mains we ordered butter chicken and chicken dhansak and again were both too sweet, the sweetness overpowered the sour/hot. The rice was pre-cooked/packed and had the smell of that. Overall, really disappointing and way too expensive for what it was. Everything was sweet and not in a good way. I'm sure the staff are lovely but as I say this is based on a takeaway. Will not use again.

Lovely evening with family on a Thursday night. Not over crowded, a very nice atmosphere, nice and cosy. Helpful smart staff and very attentive. Prices competitive Good choice of drinks, cocktails on offer, excellent choice of food. The food portions were good tasty and hot. A complimentary drink after our meal was offered but we declined, not sure what it was. Overall definitely worth another visit, they also do tribute nights, Elvis, Tina and Freddie Mercury soon. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent local Indian to go to with top customer service. So polite and such attention to detail. I adore this place it is like an old fashioned Indian restaurant where customer service and a high level of performance are still in the meal. The table is decorated really well and they make sure to change your table cloth if it gets dirty before desert. There is close attention to your needs, a polite attentiveness around getting you extra drinks and checking everything is OK with your meal. The food is exquisite. The chicken i have here is always succulent. The rice is always cooked well. The food has enough flavour without being over spiced. I have frequently been offered little extras like a little tipple at the end of my meal for free. I have also had a free hot towel and mint at the end of service. They never fail to treat you like an old friend here and I got that service from the first time I visited over a year ago. Please support this fantastic place that truly cares about the experiences of its customers.

Such a wonderful dining evening we had ! The food was so excellent, fresh and good sizes. We had a perfect half Lobster with delicious sauce and huge yummy Dover Soles with garlic butter, was so surprising good. And don’t forget the King Prawns as main course. Everything for reasonable prices. We loved it especially because we had Tam as a waiter. He was so charming and recommend the best for us. Thanks for that awesome Dinner !

The coffee and cakes here are sensational. I'm serious about coffee; it is an obsession. I source my own green coffee beans, roast them and work hard to be a good barista. Hence I am always dissatisfied with coffee 'out'. I fell upon this place while waiting to pick-up my wife from the hospital yesterday. It is the best prepared coffee I've had out in recent years. The one that came close cost £8.50 from a Michelin star restaurant. The only down side is that I need a better excuse to go back! The service was great too. Keep-up the great work.
