The Conservatory Restaurant in Stockton-on-Tees

We have been avoiding going out but we decided to celebrate our 43rd anniversary of our first date and went out for lunch to one of our favourite places on a Saturday at 12:30. The Hotel is very covid conscious and has a NHS bar code to login to the app for track and trace. We sat in the conservatory with fantastic views of the gardens, really relaxing. We had a mixture of meals form the Bar and standard lunch menu. All served well, delicious and arrived promptly but we were never rushed. A Quality dining experience making our anniversary even more special. Many thanks The Head waiter is outstanding, and we will return.

We visited at 14:30 on a Thursday. Good Covid management and discipline. We had savoury and a sweet afternoon Teas to share. Excellent service, presentation and delicious food made to order. You state your preference when you book so the savoury is freshly prepared. Opulent surroundings and a scenic walk in the woodland trail in the large grounds. The outdoor patio are is excellent however, it was slightly chilli on the day we went so we ate in the lounge. We will return for another pampouring.

Visited here on a Friday evening in June. The food was of an amazing standard and would highly recommend to others. Had the 'Corn Fed Chicken 4-Ways' as a main followed by a dessert of '64% Dark Chocolate Cremeaux'. The service was polite, but there was a huge wait between courses and it felt like I had been forgotten.

We visited for an early lunch on a Friday to celebrate my uncles 80th Birthday. The setting is fantastic with a scenic garden to walk round. Very opulent stately building. Unfortunately the weather was rainy so we enjoyed the view from the conservatory. The service and food were excellent. We had several different Fish main courses. A great place for a quality celebration and we will return.

We stayed at the hotel and as part of a deal we got dinner included. We were really impressed with how good value that deal was after seeing the choice on the menu and how good the food was. Pre-dinner we sat outside as it was a lovely day and enjoyed the garden view in the sunshine with a drink. They have a good cocktails list to chose from. We had an appetiser which was nice. Moving into the restaurant everything was just right - a nice bleach white table cloth, good cutlery, quality things. Excellent view out to the garden with all the rabbits! We had a nice wine and was offered bread. We both had goose for starters and then both had the Chateaubriand which was heavenly. We did manage to fit in a 7 cheese dessert as well washed down with a dessert wine. Excellent service. In all we had a very enjoyable meal which was well worth the deal we got.

Visited for a family celebration and thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful from the tantalising nibbles- amuse bouche , melt in the mouth steaks, delicious venison and amazing desserts.

My wife and I took my Aunty and Uncle out for Lunch to celebrate her Birthday. Judges is our go to place for special Lunches. The food and service are first class. The menu choices, fixed price and A La Carte are excellent and a bit different. But thats only part of the storey as the grounds are fantastic to walk round and the hotel and restaurant are opulent. We always take a window seat in the Conservatory as the garden view is stunning. Great all round experience and we will be returning regularly. Somewhere Special.

Excellent service and food was delicious. Really great staff and wide range of foods available. Caters well for children also. Fab venue

We visited over the easter break for afternoon tea. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were comfortably seated in the lounge and the multi course service promptly arrived. This comprised finger sandwiches, cakes, scones and an Easter treat of a Simple cake. All with lashing of endless tea and coffe. The food and service were excellent and substantial, we were so full we took the Simnel cake away in a doggy box, neatly presented by the staff. The food and service are only half the story as you really pay for the beautiful opulent, stately surroundings and the wonderful garden walk. The walk just capped off an excellent experience. We will be going back.

We had our breakfast in here and it was devine. All cooked fresh with high quality bacon and the same with the sausage - the tomatoes must have come out of a greenhouse as the taste was nothing I've had before. We asked for our eggs poached and it was again faultless- plenty of hot toast / coffee and tea aplenty. The best of all was the lovely lady who took our orders whom couldn't have been more attentive. The little boy on the next table wanted to have an extra yoghurt, so she promptly got him one for his trip home... 10/10

Really good quality of food. All fresh, the serves was quick and everything was hot on arrival. Staff where lovely.

We visited for an overnight stay, choice is very good, wine was excellent, although service was a little slow the experience was excellent

Very good menu , good value for money, well cooked well presented, meal was hot ,food was interesting. You wouldn't expect salmon to be cooked as you've never had it before! It was delicious.other people's food looked equally good

We have stayed at Judges on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. Great character, accommodation, food and service. Over the years we have sampled breakfast, lunch, dinner and Christmas lunch. Not cheap but very good value!

Pleasantly surprised by the 'tasters' ahead of the meal, really green ginger beer shot & goats cheese

La comida es fantástica, el servicio es fantástico, educado y cortés, un entorno fantástico! Sin duda lo recomiendo! Bien vale la pena visitar y ¡volveremos!

We were invited to a surprise afternoon tea party with friends and relations by the husband and children of very good friend and have nothing but praise for the hotel. From the waiting area - with bar! - to the entrance of the recipient and on to the dining area and afternoon tea itself, a very enjoyable time was had by all. If it was nearer, we would be back for a meal before the end of the month!
