The Colmore in Birmingham

I have been here many times over the last few years. Was the first place we visited when pubs reopened after that lockdown nonsense and the last when they locked it all down again. This place has a great atmosphere, and a massive selection of beers and lagers but the one thing we always come here for is the pizza. Quite simply they do the best pizza anywhere in Birmingham city centre. Thin beer dough crust, just the right amount of cheese and not too fatty or heavy.

Beers are great but the staff are awful. I'd go Pure Craft instead. We were told the doormen would escort us out for noise during pool. Pathetic

Went in for a couple of pints pre-show. Lovely pub, classy decor, extensive choice for draught beers/ciders, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for more.

The ambience and beer is always outstanding. The staff are always polite and helpful. What I wish to praise in addition to this is the cleanliness of the whole place and the toilets. Wow.. they were immaculate and actually smelled.. well... Not like toilets. When I mentioned it to the bar staff, I'm sure they thought I was taking... the Mickey. Absolutely not, it is a credit to the staff, establishment and the brewery.

Great selection of beers and all well kept. The barman was knowledgable and really friendly. Pizzas were awesome! We ordered three hoping to take some home but ate the lot! Top tip - order The Brummie.

A really beautiful setting,set in an old bank. It is immaculate and the surfaces gleam. The food is fantastic, especially the pizzas which are superb and there’s a great choice! We always receive a warm and friendly welcome, particularly from Ian, One of my favourite pubs in the City centre!

Great pizzas, with some interesting toppings. Gluten free available. great wine choices and lovely friendly staff. Sat in a large snug with a chandelier in comfy leather chairs. Lovely bar with a really good atmosphere.

Great venue! Pizzas were tasty and fresh with quality ingredients (sorry forgot the pictures, was too busy eating lol). Great atmosphere and service from the whole team and very helpful - nothing was too much even after thousands of my questions 😄

Charming venue! Popped back into my favourite pub in Birmingham over the weekend. The staff are always so friendly and really know their stuff! You can say what you usually like to drink, and they have about 10 suggestions! Or something completely new, you're at their mercy! :) They are also constantly rotating beers, so its good to check on the untapped app what they have on the lines. The pizzas are amazing and to die for, they have this tiny kitchen in the back which is never quiet! We will be visiting soon :)

This is one of the best pubs in Brum! Staff are superb and they do good food if you want to eat! Nothing is to much trouble for the staff ! Friendly customers too always having a chat ! That’s us Brummies a welcome for anyone xx

We were part of a large party and had made a booking for 8.30pm. We said that some of us may would be a bit later, and were told that was fine, but that food should be ordered by 9pm. Most arrived just after 8.30pm and ordered. They warned staff that we were on our way (with our elderly VIP guest) and were told that was fine. We arrived queued at the bar and were told we were too late for food as it was after 9pm. It was 9.01pm. There was no apology. The manager remained stony faced when we pointed out we'd been given the impression all would be ok and was completely unconcerned about the situation that left us in, trying to find an alternative for someone with mobility issues. They have lost my custom forever and I shall be advising everyone I know of their inflexible, uncaring, unapologetic attitude.

Oh dear! I was intending to book this place for various big conference social events next year. Tonight was a toe in the water.....Having booked and been assured twice, by different members of our party, that food orders would be taken up til 9pm, we were refused at 9.01pm. Technically, the staff were correct. Maybe you might now consider the £ tens of thousands you have lost from me and my colleagues ahead of 2024. And I will spread the word far and wide. Well done.

So glitzy and refined for a place that sells such good real ale! I was blown away by the decor, and loved the brilliant beer and service.

Lovely pub; we called in for a drink and had a pizza. Plenty of comfy seats; with a pool table downstairs. Pizza was home made and fresh; delicious; we shared one which was £12. Staff are efficient and quick to serve.

Visited with friends for only the second time since this pub opened well kept beers cider and food is very good , the downstairs pool table is a nice touch separate from the main area to give it that private touch . Staff are friendly...

Have been a couple of times with work colleagues. Priced well considering location, and staff are nice. Menu is only pizza/garlic bread so if pizza isn't your thing, may not be for you. Pizzas are lovely though! Recommend the pollo and the brummie.
