Sheldon Cafe in Birmingham

A lovely cafe with fresh ingredients used in their meals .I went for a birthday and enjoyed a breakfast with fried bread .Staff are friendly and helpful,best in cafe in area .

Popped in for brekkie. Good quality food and served really quickly.

Changing my review from couple of years ago. The cafe was better in the past, just today I had to wait 30min for Bacon, Sausage and Egg Sandwich, really? On top of that the bacon was overcooked, and tough. Won't be returning, unless there is a big improvement.

Just had the best breakfast at Sheldon cafe, you can tell the ingredients were quality and staff are friendly polite and efficient definitely be coming back

Did not eat this time, but loved the service and the Atmosphere and will be going again very soon.

I used to live near this cafe and would drop in on my way to work to get a sausage and mushroom baguette to take away I move away from the area but yesterday was passing and thought I’d get a full breakfast as they had always looked and smelled nice Really nicely cooked, quality breakfast for a reasonable price - I really enjoyed it and it was served quite quickly and very complement on the plate was hot (no lukewarm tomatoes or beans as is squally the case elsewhere) I’ll be going back next time I’m in the area

Small busy café, eat in or take away, tasty food, good prices. opens Mon-Sat 7am-2pm. Breakfasts, sandwiches, baguettes and main meals. Good service, nice efficient staff. Located across the road from Halfords, in Sheldon shopping precinct. Has toilet for customer use.

want to give negative ratings if I can. Staff was totally rude. I waited more than 20 minutes and also not even acknowledge and also noticed that they behave same way. Delivery driver also looking for acknowledge but 🤐🤐 I suggest to look for another clean cafe. They should learn manner first.

Food was mostly good. Sausage was dried out quite a bit. Staff all good. Will continue to keep using it

I ordered this and the uber driver delivered it to the wrong person. He went to get it back and gave it to me. The other person had started to eat it. I phone the cafe and explained. Even though it was the uber drivers fault . The cafe owner brought me a replacement breakfast out( at his own cost). I cannot thank them enough. They've always been a great cafe with superb food. Second to none. I'd go there even if I had to pass others to get there. The staff are great too. We'll worth a visit.

I went on a recommendation. On my visit the mushrooms & tomatoes were cold. But told it was a one-off. Clean & tidy, friendly staff.

We yoused too use this cafe religiously latelt the food is crappie and the prep is astonishing how am I supposed to eat a baguette full of beans

Do yourself a favour and visit this cracking cafe. Delivery fast (Deliveroo) and the food always fresh and hot. The Mega breakfast fuels your day – everything we needed for the morning after a night out. It was absolutely the best quick breakfast we had in a while, number 1 for hangover cures. Highly recommend! Adam

Food was lovely, delivered quickly. I asked for my eggs to be runny and they was gorgeous, good eggs the yolk was golden orange 😙

Food came quickly was fresh and hot, followed all instructions that was asked! Best breakfast I’ve had to be honest! Also they replace things you don’t want for an alternative, for example I said no black pudding so they gave me an extra sausage to replace! 10/10

This traditional café is located in a shopping precinct in Sheldon on the A45. We enjoyed two small breakfasts of bacon, sausage, egg and tomato which came with toast and tea or coffee and cost £5 each. The food was good quality for the price. The café is clean and the service was friendly and efficient.

Our new favorite Cafe for breakfast! Always great service and food is always fresh. Good decaf coffee and my fried bread is always cooked how I like it. Love the black pud too. Sunday is usually our day so hopefully closing is only temporary 🤞.

Great local cafe for breakfast and lunch, can't call it a greasy spoon as the breakfast is fantastic, ham salad box is also fantastic, have always had good service and great food, have eaten in and also delivery and food has been great on all occasions

Excellent sandwiches, you actually get a runny egg is your sandwich, my favourite is Bacon and Egg, lovely thick bacon cooked to perfection, not burnt or uncooked. Staff are all happy and friendly, I will continue to use a couple of times a week 😊

if you want a decent, tasty breakfast sandwich or baguette, this is the place to go. The sausages are the best tasting I've ever had and the bacon is thick cut. We have had many a takeaway from here and have also had a breakfast here sat in the cafe part. This is a very busy well run cafe and would recommend

Popped in for breakfast after a recommendation from a staff member at the Travelodge we stayed in the previous night. For a "greasy spoon" it was very clean, food was superb and not greasy at all and staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Excellent food. Good quality ingredients. Ordered from deliveroo. Had the small English breakfast with a cappacnio. Would give four and half stars but they don't give half stars on here. So five stars it is. Giving four stars would be harsh, just because it was good and did enjoy it. Sausage and egg was excellent. Only the bacon was a bit hard and was getting cold. That's because was a bit far to deliver to me. So that really just a small point but that not their fault. Very well package and wasn't messy. Beans and mushrooms in pots. Some cafes don't do that for delivery. Thank you.

Pop in today for breakfast had to leave after waiting 32mins for my food walked out no breakfast and 6pound out of pocket won't go there again shocking 😡😡

This place for me has always delivered. It hits the nail on the head. 🔥 Whenever I want a hot sandwich before 2pm, this is the place I would choose.

Just popped in for a quick coffee. My first visit, and it was lovely. Warm, friendly atmosphere and an enticing smell, which made me wish I hadn't just had lunch.

my wife has incurable cancer and will only eat here as staff and food are both fantastic. it's a small uplift during a awful period for us. Just to update my wife sadly passed away but I take the kids here now and then as it was moms favourite cafe. Lovely staff great food .

Have used the Sheldon Cafe for years, but. Today having ordered two sandwiches, being advised that they would be ready in 10 minutes. The drive down took 10 minutes, add in the waiting time to get to the counter, another 10 minutes, then to pay and be advised that they were just finishing the sandwiches. 15 minutes later, one of the staff asked if anyone was waiting, having spoken up, I was advised that I needed to pay £x.xx. Not impressed that I saw the sandwiches placed there 5 minutes earlier, then expected to pay again. Yet, in all the time I was there, the interest shown by the counter staff in the Uber eats, or deliveroo side of the takeout orders is impressive, shame the same considerations couldn’t be shown to in person collections. Besides that, I have been in a number of food locations this past year, where I have seen no end of hygiene, tables, chairs etc. being cleaned almost as soon as someone leaves there seat, prior to the next customer. At no time today did I see anyone at the front of house cleaning or any hygiene precautions being taken

I've bean here a few times and it's eggs-cellent, after a shaky start as the waitress made a right hash of my morning brew, as she split it all over my corded trousers - she soon scrambled around cleaning it up and offered me the best breakfast ever! Its true what they say, it really doesnt even matter what colour the pig was. it could even be ma-hog-any. The sausages was a banger, it reminded me of my time in grease. A little stingy on the helpings but i soon poached extras from the guy sat behind me when his back was turned. Heres to Sheldon Cafe, i raise my morning mug and give the the biggest round of toast.

We stayed at the Toby over the road but needed an early breakfast. This place served us excellent food on four days. We also needed lunch on a couple of days and that too was scrumptious. The staff at the cafe were friendly and helpful across all four days. If ever we are in the area again we’ll be back. Thank you so much 😊

Just received my order, the same great food I normally get but With a little extra this time. After explaining I was self isolating the staff had added a note on the bag “Get well soon xoxo” some times it’s the little things that mean a lot.

You have to try to believe this is the best cafe, the food is fantastic good quality food, they don't cut corners by using any cheep products, the service is simply amazing, so friendly, clean and quick. My husband has the mega breakfast omg! What a breakfast, their omelets are amazing and great quality tea! Well done guys! 😉 we have tried almost everything and never disappointed Mark and Siobhan

I started using Sheldon Cafe during lockdown as its difficult for me to get out because I don't drive. The food has been so gorgeous. Their breakfast is all fresh. The sausages and rashers are thick and not from a supermarket. They follow orders to a T and I've never been dissapointed. This is really such an amazing cafe and when the food is delivered its hot and very well packed. Yummy!!!

Go every Saturday for breakfast with my husband its absolutely delicious and staff are so friendly and quick no waiting here

Nice place good food and nice staff clean environment social distance out the window to be fare but it is only a small cafe. I also fined it a bit expensive for some of the. Food as I can go to the radleys and get a simerler breakfast cheeper this is only reason for the four stars

Traditional British caff. Have ate here many times. Breakfasts always of a high standard. Very well located for shoppers seeking a light snack and as a stopover for those on their way to the airport. Eat-in service recently reinstated.

Just collected a further large order from this Cafe, our fourth in around two weeks. My colleagues and i are again impressed with the quality of food, my favourite being the large breakfast which is top drawer. A firm thumbs up from us all and highly recommended. Very pleasant staff

Ordered breakfast from here a few times during lockdown and it's always tasty and fresh! The food is kept warm and neatly packaged and I've never had to wait over half an hour for delivery. Would highly recommend!

Food fantastic, not just Bacon, Egg & Sausage but a wide range of delicious meals to choose from. Eating area roomy and clean easy to move around if your a larger person. Staff are always delightful and eager to please and help The clean and tidy kitchen I like as you can see who is cooking and preparing your meal Toilet and handwashing facilities clean, well looked after. If there was any criticism it would be the passageway to the toilets is abit close when passing other people eating at their table. Apart from that minor thing it would be a TREAT for anyone to eat in this Cafe..
