The Sunday roast is beautiful! I had pork, and my husband had beef; we were both really impressed. The side of cauliflower/ broccoli cheese is a must. Great selection of beers and superb service and atmosphere.

Had a couple of pints here when I came in very thirsty from exploring the Jewellery Quarter on foot during the September heat wave. Had two pints of a refreshing lemon Gose-style from the fish-handled pump. Not cheap, but that sort of beer never is. It was one of a variety of interesting drinks that made this small pub feel like a micropub. It looks across the road to one of my favourite buildings in Birmingham, the sorely neglected faux-Gothic, quirkily domed old H B Sale factory in terracotta. I drank that in with my equally quirky lemon pint. It's a good life. The staff and owners were friendly. And I specially want to mention the sweet, friendly young barmaid, who was so kindly and would go out of her way to chat to me, ask me what I was up to, etc. She made me feel like an invited guest instead of a random, unknown punter.

This is a great pub where we always meet up. The range of more unusual beers is always evolving and I feel like a kid in a sweet shop. One issue I have however is that the bar staff appear to have taken to asking if you’d like to pay a tip each time you visit the bar. This isn’t something I feel should happen- customers feel uncomfortable to be honest!

Always great bear at The Wolf and have had a quality Sunday lunch here previously. This time we fancied trying their pies and visited early on a Wednesday evening. No problem getting a table and service was efficient. My delciious cauliflower and spinach balti pie was delicious, served on a bed of mash and swimming in gravy. My only slight negative is that I'd have been happier with a bit more mash and would have liked to add my own gravy so that it was a bit less sloppy. The steak and devon blue pie was also very much enjoyed and polished off nicely. The wolf is a great independent pub which does very decent food and is a joy to visit!

Wasn’t recommended to The Wolf but did my research, read the reviews and booked. Had to change the time of the booking via email, which was answered quickly and warmly. Just on the way home and felt compelled to write a review! Friendly service, nice Malbec and a banging Sunday lunch! I opted for the beef and my partner had the beef and pork. Lovely selection of veg, great roasties and yorkie, good gravy and tasty meat. A proper home cooked Sunday lunch which we will most definitely be back to savour again! Thanks all at The Wolf!

This is the second time I've visited the Wolf in the past few months with my family, and it doesn't disappoint. The Sunday roast dinners are excellent - generous portions and delicious food. The staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The music they have on is brilliant too. Located on the outskirts of the city centre, but close to St Paul's tram stop, it's an absolute pleasure to visit and I can't wait to go again in the future.

Booked in advance for a Sunday roast having seen the 2 courses for £18 online. We arrived and our table was reserved and ready for us. All servers that we came across were very friendly and attentive. Our main server in particular was excellent, we didn’t catch her name but did notice the name stellz on the receipt. Atmosphere was chilled and not too busy, great music playing in the background. The food was delicious and well worth the £18 spent, only giving 4 star as I did feel the meat was a little tough/well done for me but this is personal taste. The celeriac purée in particular was lovely. We went for desserts too and these were also very nice. A great selection of beers to try from also. All in all we will definitely return.

I stumbled across the Wolf whilst staying at the nearby Hampton. What a find! A friendly bar for craft beer lovers with a unique and unusual menu. The beer is excellent. A wide choice from local and not so local breweries including burning sky, vocation, chapter and lots more. Heaven. The food - well I had a chicken balti pie on a bed of mash topped with mushy peas and drizzled with bisto gravy! A culinary sensation!

Visited here before & after the spurs v villa match. Me & friends were like kids in a sweet shop with the excellent choice of beers to choose from. The staff were all very helpful & friendly & looked like they enjoyed working there. The vibe & atmosphere was very good & the decor really suited the place. We had a lovey cheese & meat board to compliment the beer but also looked like some great pies to have too. I would definitely recommend the wolf to any ale & craft beer lover. I think I will be making the hour train journey to visit this pub again.
