Hello It has been a while since the service of the restaurant has been bad. Unfortunately, a problem occurred for the third time and I decided to write this time. I ordered food that instead of barberry, they put plain chalou pilaf And then when I called, he said that the cook says as far as I remembered!!!!!

I had the pleasure of being served by Shukufeh, and she made my dining experience truly memorable! Her friendly personality and attention to detail set her apart—she made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Shukufeh was attentive without being intrusive, and she handled everything with a warm smile and professionalism. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. If you're dining here, ask for Shukufeh—she’s fantastic!

Extremely rude staff. I went there with my guest n my littleone the staff won't move a chair to accommodate my push chair. Asked me Extremely rudely to take it outside. Looked at my when I called for some drink but just rolled her eyes. Made me feel extremely unwelcome Would definitely never go again. I went to this restaurant several times with my family. We thing this restaurant is the best Middle Eastern restaurant. Iranian kabab and rive with saffron is a real authentic Persian dish

Delicious authentic food and lovely kind staff. The fluffiest rice too, all perfectly cooked and presented.

Yesterday I have ordered 2 koobideh by Ubereats. The kebabs were raw and uncooked and with no taste. Green vegetables were inside the kebabs. A few hours after eating them, I got poisoned and had severe diarrhea and vomiting. If you had eaten good Iranian kebabs, you would never have given these trash to customers at such high prices. I will never buy food from you again.

Stopped here for dinner on my way from Liverpool to London. I loved everything about this restaurant- except the neighbourhood and having no parking! Will definitely go back as I enjoyed it. Thanks!

Very cramped , poor service as we were about to be over charged but luckily checked our food bill first and pointed this and were Issued with revised bill. Nothing special or different about their kebabs that taste no different to south Asian cuisine ,full of salt . Nothing Persian to be honest, best thing here Is the portions are very generous and the chips look and taste great , so if your a chip fan then you won't be disappointed.

ColBeh is hands down one of the best Persian restaurants in Birmingham! Dishes like Meyghoo, Bandari, Mirza Ghassemi, and Kebab Makhsoos are absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-try if you're after Persian flavors in West Midlands.

My wife recommended that we eat here today Wednesday 25/9/24. I have never been here before. From entry to leaving it was an awesome experience. I had joojeh plus thick chips. The joojeh (chicken cubes) were divine. The thick chips were delicious. For £16.95, this dish of joojeh plus chips is out of this world. I had a £6.95 plate of hummus too. Overall, this is my favourite goto place now. Love it. Amazing and courteous staff. Well done on a brilliant first impression.

After along journey on Sunday, I come across one of the most diverse city of Birmingham and suddenly decided to try Persian food. After the Google search I found Colbeh. Lovely staffs welcomed us and we ordered 1 skewer jeejeh (boneless chicken ) kebab with 1 of Khobedh ( mince meat kebab ) with rice and salad. Also a Khashk bademjan with bread. I would give 4/5 to their Khashk Bajdemjan and was absolutely authentic. But the nan which come with it let this amazing dish down as you can buy 3 of these nans for 1£. So overall for such a price definitely such an authentic food should came at least with the special Iranian nan. The Kobeda was very good and I was satisfied but the jeejeh ( chicken ) wasn’t marinated for long enough and you could 2 different tastes such unflavoured chicken from inside and the lovely authentic jeejeh taste . All overall, a good food but the taste and quality of the food dosnt match with their price. Thank you

Customer service is appalling. Unless you’re from their country and speak their language, they treat you like aliens. They constantly checked on other customers in their own language but didn’t check on my table once. They have complete disregard for people who aren’t of the same culture as them. Food is average at best, lamb koobideh was pink inside. The saffron rice does not have saffron in it. Don’t know why you have to ask for sauce, they don’t charge for it so why not put it on the table instead of letting us choke on dryness? They watch over you when you eat as well. Unfriendly, unapproachable and rude service.

We came to eat here yesterday as a family of 4 on recommendation and upon checking reviews. We were highly disappointed. Food was average and food was a little bland. . We went for the shahi platter. The service was good by a young lady and man, however there was an older lady who wasn’t welcoming at all but instead made a face as my 1 yr old son made a slight mess. Going to a restaurant with kids you’d expect a slightly better atmosphere but i felt so awkward and uncomfortable. Id say overall good for couples and those without kids.

Air conditioning wasn't working on a hot summer day. There were five of us and three that ordered chicken kebab got food poisoned. I can’t recommend.

Food was average. Expensive for the quality. The meat (chenjah) was burnt and flavourless. The chicken was pleasant but nothing special. A real shame as we were really looking forward to our visit after really good past experiences. Everything was just average plain meat. Need to up their game to charge those prices

Any time that me and my friends went there, we just sow numbers of Pakistanish woman with hijab or non, who make feel so bad and unsafe to you and they sitting there for a long time and just watching the people looks like they spying others,It’s make feel disgusting and unfortunately the Colbeh’s manager and one of the man waitters have rude and bad manner.also I ordered several times during a year lam kebab kobide and I recived the uncook,white and dry kebab I dont know were is the manager and why this resturant is open.

Yesterday, we ordered five skewers of koobideh kebab and one skewer of barg kebab. Unfortunately, the barg kebab was completely uncooked and inedible. The koobideh kebabs appeared to have been prepared the previous day, frozen, and then reheated, resulting in a lack of freshness. Additionally, the kebabs were very small in size. The takeaway service did not include any salt, sumac, or bread—only the kebabs and tomatoes were provided. Upon returning home, I experienced nausea, which worsened overnight, and my husband suffered from severe stomach pain. This experience was both horrendous and deeply disappointing, and we felt that our money was wasted

Recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. Lovely service and the food was fantastic. Nothing was two much trouble. I think it was quite obvious that we had no idea what we were ordering. That's part of the fun isn't it.

I had take away, tasteless, waste of money

From the beginning the experience was really pleasant. We were greeted and sat down promptly. Only thing which was a little downside was sitting next to the door. So we caught the draught every time it opened. Nevertheless it wasn’t too bad. Food arrived on time and was cooked well. Tasty and the kids enjoyed it all. We ordered 2 shah platters and it was enough to feed 4 adults and 3 children. Would go again.

I had a lovely meal here, I ordered the lamb barg and sabzi. The barg was really very nice, the rice was amazing. My only niggle, was that it could have been a little hotter when it arrived. I was debating whether to have the sabzi or the olivea salad, I went for the sabzi, which was ok, but I couldn't help thinking I should have gone with the olivea salad...next time! Staff were friendly and efficient; I would definitely go back next time I am in Birmingham.

With eclectic decoration (I noticed a zither mounted behind me) and a cosy atmosphere, this is a chilled place to dine. When the food arrived, the quality of the ingredients and the delicious spicing and perfect execution of the cook was impeccable. If I'm back in that neighbourhood I will definitely return.

My husband and I visited Colbeh last night for my husband’s birthday. We’ve been a few times before and enjoyed our time there and this occasion didn’t disappoint. It’s quite a small family run restaurant with fabulous food, ambience and service. We had baba ghanoush to share followed by the meat sharing platter with rice and chips. We also ordered an amazing feta salad of green leaves, olives, feta cheese, pomegranate seeds and juice, walnuts and balsamic vinegar … every mouthful was divine. We couldn’t manage everything so brought some home with us. After dinner we took our wine outside and ordered a pot of mint tea. We heard somebody singing happy birthday. Two waitresses approached us with a cake and a candle …. what a lovely surprise and gesture. A wonderful evening was had by us both. Thank you to all staff for a memorable occasion. I’d recommend booking a table at this restaurant.

Popped in here for some snacks and we were not disappointed! Delicious baba ganoush, fattoush, hummus and a lively lamb dish we had not had before. Having had this experience and also seen the full meals being enjoyed by others, we will be back!

This place is constantly coming up when Uber gives me 30% off so I thought I might as well try it. I decided to order the Joojeh with rice (first photo below) and the Koobideh (second photo). The Joojeh is saffron chicken and is quite tasty although it needs to be more tender. The Koobideh which is minced red meat is out of this world and to me is the rolls royce of such kebabs. My cat loved it too although I was most likely purring louder than her. I ordered garlic sauce to go with it and it was a good complement. You might not be able to see from the photos but under each kebab is a piece of naan that becomes soggy and delicious from the juices of each kebab. This is a 5 star place but I’ve given 4 as it’s £17 for the Joojeh and yet it’s only one skewer.

When I made reservations I asked a woman on the telephone if they serve alcohol She said no. I asked twice and she reassured me they didn’t . So I came to open my fast in Ramadan and to my surprise the woman next to me was drinking red wine, and beer . I don’t understand what was the point of lying . Also, they allowed the dog in the owner, had the dog in his lap with his paws on the table.

We chose this place as it wasn't far from the QE where my daughter had just come from a long hospital appointment, so we were ready for food! We sat by the window. Service was very fast and attentive. I had the Olivieh to start which was delicious, and my daughter had the soup of the day. For mains we both had a chicken and lamb dish with rice. The meat was very tender and tasty. We had olives on the side and some coffee, Persian tea and fruit/veg smoothies. The menu was varied but not overwhelming. The atmosphere and decor was lovely and we took lots of photos! We would definitely revisit. The prices were reasonable I thought. Thank you guys!

But the issue was the restaurant was bad service very bad waiter, felt like I was being rushed from the waiters, Iv ordered a big mix grill for £45.99 which said it would serve 2 to 3, people but it's a lie very small portions. We had been to the guitar shop and were looking for somewhere for lunch before travelling home to Oxfordshire and found this place. I wasn't sure what to expect but we were blown away. Really welcoming staff who were really helpful with the menu. We ordered a shared starter, main and then couldn't resist a dessert. The food was so delicious and the saffron, rose and pistachio ice cream is a complete thing of joy. I'll be travelling from Banbury to just eat here!

Be careful if you’re a sit in guest here, as clearly they prioritise take out orders. After ordering, around 15-20 delivery guys picked up orders whilst we (2 adults, 1 child) waited almost an hour for our food. Asked twice for updates on the food, first didn’t get answered, second the waitress denied we’d been waiting that long! Even a table who ordered before us got served their food! Finally got our food, quality as expected was good, but you cannot make sit in guests wait that long for food, regardless of how many take out orders you have. Shut your restaurant and just do take out orders if that’s how you want to treat sit in customers!

Went here on a weekday. Very very full (we had to be seated in the adjacent cafe). The platter and saffron rice were ridiculously good. Service was good but a little hampered by the fact we weren't in the actual restaurant. Will be coming back

We came across this little gem by accident, the food was fantastic. I was inspired by the breakfast and made it at home that week. The Baklva was the best I've tasted. Very friendly waiter and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy. I will definitely be going if I'm in the area again.

The food and all is good. However, we ordered through Deliveroo with quite a few items missing. I don't know who messed up the order, Colbeh said Deliveroo, but Deliveroo says can't contact the rider. When I called them, their response was the kitchen was closed. Anyway, we were short of food, with delivery also late.

Iranian food is always so tasty and Colbeh did not disappoint. Persian tea is a must get. I loved the atmosphere as arrived it was empty. However as we sat down people started to come in and the vibes increased. It was very busy and everyone was happy. It was nice. I loved the table cloth, cutlery and decorations. I went with my family and one is a very picky eater and she loved all the food.

Regular goers at this place however this time found hair on my flat bread and sister found hair in her saffron rice. We had to leave unfortunately. Won’t be returning again. We told the waitress that the chefs needs to wear hats which I don’t think they do otherwise there would not be 2 hairs in our food.

I order from this restaurant every month at least for a take out and I collect mostly. Honestly like the food and lady manager is very good if you have any problems on phone she’ll sort it. I have restaurants nearer to me but won’t change for your food. Thank you, just don’t forget my sauces please haha Gina x

Today my sister and I went to colbeh. We have been here before. The food is great however on this occasion myself and my sister found a hair in both of our meals.The hair was an inch long. Disappointing. I am concerned about the hygiene level at this restaurant.

Beautiful atmosphere and authentic menu, good quality, tasty fresh dishes. Plenty of menu choices for everyone. Hummus as starter and chicken/lamb skewers plus rice with seasoned fries. Great staff who serve you with a smile and very warm and welcoming.

We ordered a take away for collection but when opened the food at home realised that the order was wrong , so called them out but they offered to bring the correct order to us which took another 45 min , I’m going to say that mistakes happen but it’s the way you deal with it which is important , they were kind and professional and couldn’t apologise more so thank you for your lovely food and customer service, they were super busy so can understand it, I’ll remember to check my take away next time.

Great value, consistently tasty food - we go often and always get the shah platter - it feeds 3 easily, 4 if you’re having starters - the food here is always good, the shah platter comes with rice and or chips and grilled tomato’s - the platter also comes with minced lamb kebabs, minced chicken kebabs, lamb cubes, chicken wings and saffron chicken kebabs. Each item on the platter is beautifully spiced and cooked/ grilled to perfection, never dry, always mouth-wateringly delicious - the rice is fluffy and we always get chips too, they’re chunky and fluffy - you cannot go wrong - enjoy !!

As an Iranian, growing up in a foreign land, the food served at Colbeh brings all the joys of my mother land in a cocktail of taste, joy, and great servitude. The Colbeh special kebab, without a shadow of a doubt is a taste sensation!

This place is absolutely amazing!! We managed to get a table and the service was exceptional. The starters were very tasty and the main (chicken pieces on skewers) with beautiful saffron rice was exceptional. Overall really very very impressive and nice cosy atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who fancies Persian food with lovely dishes and service to match. Will definitely be returning!!!

Everytime I come here the food is consistent, there is no messing about. The waiters don't even use a notepad to take down your order, there memory is bloody amazing cause the order comes correct. Such a lovely enviroment and good day with the family aswell.

Couple of days ago went to this place 4 of us. Now we had two trays of mix kebabs, four plates of rice, three plates of aubergine type starters and a plate of humus and some bread, and 8 non alcoholic drinks and two small portions of chunky chips. Food was okish the usual grilled kebabs, but what disappoints me is that they charged my colleague £240 for 4 people. When I found out later that they charged him £240 I was not happy at all. I eat out in Birmingham and know of better quality food places but the prices here are extortionate a daylight robbery without much explanation. Highly disappointed, avoid and I'm sure you would be able to find better places cheaper and with quality than this place to dine in. NOTHING SPECIAL SAVE YOUR MONEY

Beautiful oil place to satisfy your Persian cravings. We headed to this place out of the blue for breakfast and I must say we’re not disappointed. It was eating morning, the place was empty, but the service was detailed. Lovely gentleman, even helped us choose dishes from the restaurant next door. We tried the Halim(Sunday special), Halim Badamjun(Smoked Aubergine), Persian I lette. We topped it with our favourite Persian tea with saffron candy. Definitely recommend this place.
