Went for a coffee. The place is very stark, no pretty decor or softness. Ordered 2 cappuccinos, chocolate cake and coffee cake. Not only did the coffees take a long time to arrive, the cake that came was inedible. The chocolate cake was a very odd texture. It was weirdly half under baked and half over baked and not very chocolatey at all. I did see other plates being cleared from around the coffee shop that also had lots of chocolate cake being taken back. The coffee cake was a disgrace. The top half was okay though very bland and the bottom half was so under baked I could not eat it as the photo shows. We did complain just to raise awareness but as we left, I could see that the coffee Cake had not been removed from sale. This is completely unacceptable and we will not be using this coffee shop again.

Excellent café and garden centre. Well-staffed, good value, welcoming of dogs ... welcoming in general! Couldn't fault it.

Cafe is sadly becoming a victim of its own success. It is so busy that it is difficult to find a table and then there is a long queue to order - 10 mins - and long wait for food - 40 mins. Good value food but not exceptional. Staff very friendly - but perhaps need more kitchen staff?

Went last Monday, disappointing breakfast, bacon so undercooked almost raw, scrambled egg overcooked. Shame, as have had before and it was lovely.

Lovely garden centre, kinda old school vibe. Nice selection of bits and pieces inside and nice plants outside. Cafe had a weird acoustic situation going on and service was particularly slow considering we only ordered coffee.

We love going to the garden centre and now more often the on site Cafe even though we live walking distance away from Canterbury garden center outside Herne We have found the staff very polite and the food we have eaten there has been plentiful and well presented. I think the amount of people using the Cafe speaks for itself. The negative views I have read bear no resemblance to our experience which is all positive.

I decided to get a bacon Bap, when it arrived there was one TINY piece of very overdone bacon (looked like streaky ) in a large flabby insipid bun. Such a shame. This was £4 . and just very poor value for money.

Can’t say much about the nursery side of the business as it’s late Autumn and here for the massive Christmas selection of light/decorations and ornaments (damn, got caught again!) Love the food at the cafe and the fact we can take the dogs outside AND in, the staff are always polite BUT 1/ The noise today, when half full got too much, we’ve not sat indoors since it first opened. Within 30 minutes of being there (thankfully eaten our lunch) the sound of people talking actually caused me to decide it was nof the place for me. Simple to reduce, the ceiling is like a corrugated panel (ideal to bounce noise back in many directions), there are no soft furnishings (lots of lovely windows, again bouncing the noise back into the room). Pretty cloth covered MDF panels on the roof, but due to the materials used, the sound bounces back into the room. Now home with a headache. Back to Garden X with our friends and dogs. 2/ Watched next table have a jacket potato and fried egg on toast. Simple and easy to get to table 11 together. Nope, jacket came first and that person had nearly 1/2 way through when her friend (who had initially been if ignored) had to ask where her fried egg had got to. 3/ Social media. Younwant to get known. You want to be busy to support the financial cost of construction and staffing, let alone the food costs. No Wi-Fi and because of the metal frame of the Café, signal is blocked. Cheap Wi-Fi Router for those who have a fear of not being connected…. Even some of the “silver Surfers”

The new cafe opened this week so pic above of the temporary coffee stop will need changing. It is Bright and airy and very clean. Menu is excellent e.g. for a bacon roll for breakfast/ brunch or for a sandwich or toastie lunch made fresh and served with salad. Cakes on offer are delicious. Staff are lovely and it feels very welcoming. Inside or outside seating

Una buena opción si quieres un buen bocadillo mientras evitas las cadenas en la calle principal. Los sándwiches rellenos calientes son geniales en un día frío.

I called them 20 minutes after the order delivery time and was told that they didn’t have a driver. The didn’t contact me before that. I tried to advise them to cancel but was told that I had to do it through “the app” , which I tried without succe
