Lovely cosy little cafe, situated in the railway building on platform 1. Nice atmosphere, friendly locals and the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful with local information. A lovely lady made me a buttered baked potato with coronation chicken from a varied menu for under a fiver...great value. Nice stop to fill in time when waiting for the train, and round off a trip to the beautiful, welcoming and characterful Nairn. Both sit-in and takeaway are available. Thankyou, recommend to all for a taste of Highland hospitality.

A wonderful place to go for coffee and a tasty snack. Staff are so friendly and welcoming in this cosy cafe. A smashing bacon roll and a lovely coffee and I was revitalised. You won’t regret visiting this little gem.

Popped in for a coffee while waiting on my train home. Despite the fact it was well after closing (and she was just about to lock up) the lovely owner didn't hesitate to fire up the coffee machine to make me a cappuccino. Great coffee, fabulous service and I will definitely be back.

Really lovely welcoming place! We came for a bite to eat with our dog and were served by a friendly lady. The food ( a filled roll and a baked potato) was delicious and excellent value. Our dog was most welcome too. Thank you!

Visited today while returning from business in Nairn and awaiting the train home. The owners were lovely, warm and welcoming. I was just getting a quick breakfast roll on link to takeaway and I have to say the Roll itself was lovely and fresh and the 2 x split link sausages were hot and absolutely beautiful. It set me up for the start of a long journey home. Seconds before the train arrived I quickly jumped back in for a sweet treat ( lovely home baking treats) and grabbed a rice kirspy choc/caramel square. So delicious I wished I lived closer..... probably just as well for my trousers I do not as I would be in here everyday stuffing my face and having a wee chat! Highly recommended for good quality produce served with a friendly smile.

After a wet start packing up our camper van, we headed to this dog friendly cafe. Unbeknownst to us it was for an amazing toasted panini fabulous coffee and entertaining chat with the locals and staff. We also landed in on fresh baked scones Wednesday and took two cheese topped ones away still warm from the oven. It was a gem of a find.

Was staying in Nairn Lochloy Caravan Park for 4 days. My partner and I decided to take a trip to Inverness. While waiting for our train we popped in for a coffee. Wonderful service that you only got from yesteryear. The coffee was so good we bought a 1Kg bag. Worth every penny. Prices really too cheap. Forget Costa et al. This is the best coffee shop in Scotland!

We went in to get a drink and something to eat today. The most delicious baked potato, a fab cheese, egg and bacon roll, and two wonderful coffees. Really friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. My husband had won a free drink as Haze does a question to win a drink on Facebook. I would definitely go back. It's very cosy, welcoming and a little gem in our town.

We were staying nearby and checked reviews for a breakfast place and followed gps directions. We were actually surprised that gps carried us to the train station, but found The Coffee Station at the end of platform. Coffee and food was very good and the lady attending the place was delightful. Enjoyed the food and also the chat with local people that were regulars.

We arrived at the station 40 minutes early for our train and so stopped off at the cafe for a quick coffee. The lady serving us was lovely, the service really fast and the drinks tasty. If you have time to kill at Nairn station would recommend.

myself and two others called in here for something to eat and drink. one of us had hot chocolate with marshmallows and maltesers floating in it, yum yum! two coffees, bacon rolls and coconut cake too. there was a wee birthday tea happening at the next table and birthday cake was passed around to all the other customers. we all sang "happy birthday " and had a lovely time. everybody was made welcome and included. it's especially nice in sunny weather as there are tables and chairs outside on the station platform. very nice :)

I regularly use this lovely little café and don't just go when I'm travelling by train. The food is fresh, home made and varied. The home made soup is always delicious but my all time favourite are the bacon and brie croissants. Yum! In the warm weather you can sit outside and watch the trains go by which is nice. The place is always full of laughter and its clientele are of all ages - the more mature 'ladies who lunch' as well as school kids passing at lunch time. Its a fabulous place to spend an hour an I always come away with a smile on my face. Give it a go- you won't be disappointed.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.
